solano and dyer to fight it out for the rb position next season?
-
i'm a bit indifferent to this news tbh. not a bad player but not one to get the pulse racing either. plus he seems like a complete twat off the field. hope he isn't as big a let down as parker turned out to be. english players with big reputations on big wages often are.
-
god i hope we're not one of them. he's awful.
-
we're in for a relegation battle if we start next season with that back four
-
dyer's best asset is his versitility. he'll do a decent job at right back.
-
allegedly. i suppose as a front three... dyer---viduka----duff isn't that bad on paper. shame duff's been absolute garbage since he joined us.
-
bit of a livewire. not sure about building a team around him. he always looked better coming off the bench as an impact player
-
got to love nufc.com's opening par

Yeah but you rate shola so you're about as happenin' as a hip replacement. i'm happy with shola as 3rd or 4th choice. i'd be happy with viduka as 3rd or 4th choice but i'm guessing he will be coming in on big wages and will start most games. he's a good player on his day but he's the wrong side of 30, only turns up when he fancies it and is always injured.....so he should fit in well with the rest of our squad. oh and he's fat. and australian. Seeing we will be probably playing three strikers next season, he could be third choice. And if that's the case I'd still be happy to see donkey nowhere near the team bus. you reckon big sam will use his bolton-style 4-3-3 formation? owen must be going if he does. i can't see him working as a lone striker or out wide in a front three. so as it stands we're looking at a three-pronged attack of shola, martins and viduka

i'm not massively convinced by viduka and barton as our first signings under big sam

Even when first and second (and third) pick up injuries? Then is he still good enough as 4th choice, when circumstances mean we're relying on him for goals? Care to name a poorer 4th choice in the top 4, seeing as that's where we aim to be? i'd say he's on par with the likes of alan smith, aliadiere, baptista, kalou, robbie fowler etc Fuck off i don't see many of that lot outscoring shola by many. do you? shola was scoring goals at a decent rate before his op, carrying an injury and playing in a shit side. he's not the best player in the world but i'd be as happy with him coming off the bench as any of the others listed above.

shola isn't as bad as some make out. i'm happy with him as third or fourth choice striker

did a job but ultimately not good enough.

i doubt it. but regardless, he definitely is on that money. that's why he isn't going anywhere He'd be over the £100k pw mark though, which I just can't see us offering him. i'm not lying. i know someone that has seen his pay slip, and driven his car. Who trusts a car thief though... luque was in the passenger seat at the time seriously... i don't claim to be in the know about much when it comes to toon gen but this source is pretty kosher

Perhaps whoever it was who told you is winding you up. The reason the Chronicle gave for him not going to PSV on loan in January was because Roeder couldn't get that striker in from France, they seem to think he's already agreed to there next season though with a view to a permanent deal. i doubt it. he's been pretty reliable in the past and he knows emre and luque well. i can't see luque going anywhere on a permanent deal unless he takes a massive pay cut. that's why he'll probably see his contract out by going on loan instead of securing a permanent deal, unless he proves a few of us wrong and takes a massive pay cut for regular first team football. i can't see it happening. who would give up that kind of money?

canny little town. i think the dodgy parts are mostly out of the city centre. i've had a few goods nights out there with little trouble. good shopping too
-
if chelsea don't go for him i'd say we've got a decent chance of signing him

I have on heard that there is a good chance that Big Sam is going to bring in Saviola on a free as a replacement for Ameobi who is wanted by Boro to cover Viduka's move. Sam has also been linked with Hypia, A Ferdinand and Sol C to sure up his new back line. Tim Bo - Surrey

anelka? barton? who's next? diouf? savage? bowyer?
