never said he wasn't a good player. he was over-rated though in my opinion.

80s equivalent of darren anderton tbh In what sense, other than being injury prone? none tbh but i stand by my claim he didn't win a league medal in his prime. took him until the end of his career when he was bit part player and cantona was the main man at man u. he never achieved anything with england other than the captaincy. was either injured or disapointing in every major final i can remember him playing in apart from maybe spain 82. we looked far better in mexico and italy after he went home injured. i'm not saying he wasn't a good player but captain marvel was massively over-rated. I go the impression you weren't old enough to remember Spain 82? i don't remember it particularly well but it was the first major tournament i remember watching Watertight argument. well i did say that it might have been his only non-failure in an international tournament for england. i can remember enough. he scored a free header in the box against france and we went out on goal difference because of the weird old format. hardly a success story, in keeping with his no-shows at mexico and italy

"...i wanna see you jiggle jiggle fo sure 6ft 3 in a compact, but luckily the seats go back." all spat in his posh southern accent. genius

Eugene Terreblanche (sp?) was fucking foaming at him he was scary. he was lucky to get out of there alive. i liked the gangster rap one he did in the deep south. the bit where he rapped live on that radio show was hilarious, especially given most of the rappers thought he was serious. the porn one was good too. i like the way that the joke is always on the people he interviews but his style is such that they don't realise.

ronaldo has to win the play of the year awards. he's been different class. i especially like the way he's stood up to his critics and ignored the abuse from fans and tabloids. it'll be interesting to see if the world's coaches get over their fixation with spain and italy and award him the world and european player of the year awards, which he also deserves.

surely it's only a matter of time untilk he picks up? we all know he's talented, but if he doesn't improve he can be considered a waste of money. it could be a case of the same syndrome nicky butt went through when he first joined a smaller club....or the fact that he doesn't have major competition for his place so he doesn't put a proper shift.

phil neville at left back?
-
That can sometimes be regarded as a drawback to a comedian well, quite. he's a talented guy. the way he can get up on stage and talk for over an hour, mostly unscripted, is impressive - i'm sure he'd be a funny bloke to go for a beer with - but he's not funny enough for standup in my opinion.
-
his improv is impressive but i don't find him that funny tbh
-
assuming everyone is fit and on form, the front 6 should be dyer-----parker-------emre------duff ----------owen---------martins although on current form you could argue that butt should start for parker and milner would be unlucky not to start. maybe even n'zogbia for duff too.

meanwhile some tumbleweed is spotted blowing past st james's

lampard is a big girl. he threw his toys out of the pram when he was criticised for his no-hows at the world cup too.

shitter than carr? I would assume so, aye. There's hardly a surplus of left-backs at the club. He hasn't even made the bench since he came back has he? scary if that is true. and yet the powers that be felt we didn't need to sign a new left back in the the recent transfer window, even a stopgap loan deal

Has Roeder spent less than Allerdyce this year? Serious question, I don't know, but I wouldn't have though so. i'm sure we spent more than them but not that much more. didn't bolton cain £8m on anelka? they've got more money knocking about than they used to, that's for sure.

good news if it means a recall for nobby. i'd rather one of the young lads play at left back anyway.

looks like my personal trainer was scaremongering and feeding me with bullshit information. still no doubt that premium strength lager is one of the worst drinks going if you're watching your weight. fucking annoying too. someone needs to invent a light beer that doesn't taste like piss
-
yup vodka is by far the best drink if you're counting calories. slimline tonic or lime and soda are other healthy mixers and stay off the wifebeater. every pint of stella/kronenburg etc contains 700 calories! so you can get on it if you're watching your weight. just be prepared to look like a total mincer when you're getting your round in.

What if I don't own a nuclear reactor? Or is that a funny way of saying yoga/pilates? yeah - all that stuff. try using a swiss ball when you work out. all the excerisises at this link are belter for getting quick results - http://www.brianmac.demon.co.uk/corestabex.htm i spent years down the gym focusing on upper body excercises but only saw the results i wanted after i started doing core stablity stuff. it's the best way to lose the love handles
