No man’s land tbh

If anyone wants to sleep well I advise against listening to the latest rest is politics podcast where they examine the early signs of fascism

Every time I’ve watched Man City lately I see a team we can have some joy against if we get at them. Really hope we have a go at them at their place. They’re nowhere near as defensively secure as they used to be.
-
Watkins should do well for them. Not in the same league as Alexander the Great though
-
I dunno. Maybe sign a player?

My mate keeps arguing Mitchell is stealing a living. Hard to make the case for him based on evidence so far. He needs a big summer

there weren’t many public schools in Washington, Tyne and Wear

what’s the strategy? Multiple devices?

a forest failure for me too. my ballot success so far this season has returned a big fat zero. i got a handful last season, but it's even more frustrating this time around. i'm keen to do this one as i'm up for half term to see my mother. @thebrokendoll - have you had any joy in the general sale or the resale this year?

My mate keeps telling me to cheer up, things could be worse: you could be stuck in a hole underground full of water. I know he means well

part of Miggy’s problem is his natural position is number 10, where his lack of a right foot is les of an issue. The problem for Miggy is he wasn’t good enough to play number 10 in the premier league. And Howe doesn’t set us up that way anyway so left wing, which exposes his biggest flaw, was his only option. That left foot was a wand in the season we finished fourth mind. Everything he hit with it seemed to find the top corner. He scored a couple of outrageous volleys

Longstaff would probably excel for Moyes

I didn’t realise Peter Risdale was still running the show there

I’ve never heard any cunt use the word farken in conversation either tbh

Generic small time football blather thread FOREVER

top of the league that matters -
he’s another one whose been Howe’d. His ability to improve players is second to none
-
it’s one of those. In real time it didn’t look that bad but it looks dreadful on the replay. It would have been interesting to see if they overturned it if he missed it. Might have stayed with the original decision

it's been his poorest season since the takeover. i think botman did enough playing at CB on his wrong foot to keep his place. i still think RW remains the obvious weak point of the squad, as i did in the summer. the one area that hasn't been upgraded since the takeover. we've got decent cover at CB when everyone is fit. hopefully lascelles isn't a million miles away from a return.

where the fuck did you find that gif?

he's proved he is a valuable squad player and has more to his game than miggy, who was a one trick pony playing at LW. do we gamble on him as our only specialist RW in the squad for the run in when champions league football is up for grabs? psr might force us to, i dunno, but it feels like a punt given what is at stake (securing CL football means we we're more likely to keep the likes of bruno and isak in the summer and we can then build the squad around them) the ideal scenario is we sign a player that challenges him for a starting place in January. who cares if it takes whoever that player is a couple of months to be up to speed with what howe demands? it's the same for every new signing - howe wants to take time to bed them in, fine. it would still be another body through the door and would give us depth in an area where we were already weak - even before the sale of alimiron. it's also means we won't have to promote someone like sanusi, who looks promising but very raw, in the event of a an injury crisis.
-
They probably would have shifted him in the summer if they could but the only offer came from Saudi and Miggy didn’t fancy making that move
-
agreed. i understand the PSR constraints but it's a big gamble to let miggy go without replacing him. it leaves us with a single out and out RW, who is enjoying a purple patch. who knows if he can keep it going? i hope i'm wrong, but neither gordon or barnes look the same player when they fill in on the right. we really could do with another body in on the right.
