  1. Me too but something tells me we may not be rushing to do business with Liverpool anytime soon
  2. i think the ekitike deal was doable if liverpool hadn't steamed in. i was reading he was only on £60k a week at frankfurt. we could have given him what wilson had and doubled his wage.
  3. i've got no problems adding a 28 year old proven PL player to the mix in the slightest.
  4. it's a good balance of youth and experience too. murphy is the oldest of the lot at 30, elanga, gordon and osula are all bairns still and isak is only just on the verge of his prime years
  5. he’s a player for now though. Scored over 30 goals in the past two seasons. It’s rare we sign a player in his prime. I’m all for it - give him a four year deal and you’ve got a quality addition to the squad with legs, unlike the bloke he’s replacing who I presume is Wilson
  6. yes and i expect we will continue to line up with three CMs against the top sides but our achilles heel last season was unlocking low block defences. signing someone such as ekitike would have given us the option to flip to 4-2-3-1 as he can play number 10, as could Isak with Ekitike ahead of him. I found that quite en exciting prospect.
  7. what the fuck else are we supposed to talk about at this time of year on a football message board?
  8. wissa got 19 goals in 35 PL games for brentford last season, playing mainly as a CF. i knew he had a good season but didn't realise it was that good. he scored 12 the season before, playing a combination of LW and CF
  9. it's the dog days of summer ffs - what do you expect?
  10. wissa, gordon and elanga would give us pace to burn across the front three. just need a CB with legs next to compliment dad's army at the back
  11. it seems smarter move both in terms of squad building and psr. if money was no object, i'd prefer ekitike to wissa, but wissa has done it in the premier league and is more likely to hit the ground running straight away.
  12. wissa/trafford/scalvini combined could end up costing north of £100m if what the reporters are saying about price is true. if we got all three for the same price as ekitike it's a no brainer and very smart business
  13. is that what you heard from your south coast contacts?
  14. How much is Wissa going to cost at 28? 40-50m? Not the age profile we usually go for but I love the idea of signing another versatile rapid forward who can play across the front line and can give us four years where he should be at his peak
  15. it was fun while it lasted. we'll see now how much liverpool want him
  16. link? i'm sure a TT invasion can help redress the balance or some @toonpolls
  17. It’s a piece fill of speculative nonsense. She clearly has no contacts. I can’t remember her ever breaking a transfer story of note
  18. he developed at Liverpool though, right? Was he shit hit at Southampton too? I can’t really remember
  19. agree with the post and I hope that’s what happens if they do end up getting Ekitike, mainly out of spite. But I don’t see it. Ekitike’s going to be class. Hope we get him still
  20. Last time I stayed in Frankfurt was in hotel on a notorious street near the station where all the local smack and crack heads congregate to openly get off their nut. Delightful spot
  21. Chelsea are absolutely ripping the piss out of PSR, fair play
