Gemmill bad at football? I'm shocked, I tell you. Shocked
-
28 going on 48
-
he was so bad it’s no wonder you forgot. Luckily not one of those that hung around like a bad smell. Though there were plenty of them
-
season long loan the the second time we were relegated under Ashley IIRC
-
hopefully he's better than his namesake
-
there could be 60+ games next season. there is plenty of football to go around

yeah, it’s a scale machine where you hold these hand sensors. I think you’re right about its accuracy. The bf reading does tend to fall in line with weight loss but it doesn’t always reflect the result that the calipers produce, which I believe to be more reliable. I don’t own any calipers myself but a PT I’m mates with who used to coach me does and he occasionally will help me out with them. It only take 5 minutes to do the test.
-
Occasionally callipers. They have this machine at my gym too, but I dunno how reliable it is. It is often a percentage or two out against the callipers

oh yeah, i just read the blurb through in gemmill's post

Mandy Patinkin is a hero

at least we secured our most important target of RW
-
Then the legacy clubs get wind of what’s happening and steal our lunch

Romano is a shrill for agents. I fucking hate the modern transfer window. Everything gets leaked to Ornstein and Romano, making it impossible to do a deal on the quiet.

He was massively important player in the side that reached then played in the CL and got to the first league cup final. Pretty much the dictionary definition of an Eddie Howe player. Raised his levels by grafting his arse off and buying into Howe’s methods. Our midfield would often look weaker when he wasn’t playing. He did the unspectacular stuff very well. We clearly have better technicians in his position now and his game time was going to be limited so the move makes total sense for all parties. Just don’t forget to replace him as we will need six CMs for CL. Thank you Sean

I’ve no problem with Pope/Dubravka for another season in the CL.
-
Let’s say we miss out on Trafford. It will be disappointing but buying him seems an opportunistic long term project move. It’s not like we don’t have two other capable GKs. If the club overpay on him it might be forced to miss out on other targets for positions which are more of a problem (CB, CF etc)
-
It’s gone quiet on Trafford too. We were “on the verge” of signing him about a month ago. I’d like to see us get him still but that’s the position I’d probably sacrifice if we don’t have the funds to get all the players needed. CB, CF and CM are bigger priorities, for me, we’ve got too many GKs as it stands and Pope and Dubs are good enough to go again for another season.

potato starch, i think. sorry, not sorry @MrBass

That works too. Use whatever cheese you like but i like the cheap mozerella for this - a grilled cheese has to be a bit dirty
-
I suppose it’s a variation on what we call a toasted cheese sandwich/cheese toastie. The only discernible difference is they do it in the pan with butter. The mayonnaise was a tip a colleague gave me which I highly recommend. And I suppose Brits would make them in those Breville machines you bought as a student which now live at the back of a kitchen cupboard and only see the light of day once or twice a year.
-
not if you buy the shop-grated stuff. Or the cheap blocks that don’t come in water. Basically the sort of mozerella you wouldn’t want to eat raw in a salad but perfect for pizzas etc
-
To expand on the cheese on toast chat, I have a banging grilled cheese recipe. Spread a generous amount of mayonnaise on the outsides of two slices of sourdough. Put one of them face down in a pan. Spread some Dijon mustard on other side then load a fuck ton of grated extra mature cheddar and mozerella. You can add more toppings of your choice at this stage. I add optional jalapeños and chilli flakes. Add the other slice on top with the mayo on the outside then fry and flip while adding pressure on the bread until the outside is this kind of omelettey golden brown and the cheese is stringy. This bit isn’t optional: wash it down with a cold beer for the ultimate hangover cure. All the things your body craves after a sesh: salt, starch, fat, protein and hair of the dog.
