Moussa Sissoko signs for Spurs for like £30m or WatEVA
trooper replied to Park Life's topic in Newcastle Forum
If we get offered somewhere in the region of £20 Mil we should snatch their hand off. I very much doubt we'll get anywhere near £35 Mil for him. He wants away let's get shot of him & get somebody in with a better attitude that's prepared to work hard for the team it's going to be a long season & we have to get off to the best possible start. The last thing we want is a Cabaye situation just take £20 Mil & move on.- 1745 replies

Newcastle United Official Statement STEVEN TAYLOR LEAVES UNITED Following discussions between Newcastle United and Steven Taylor it has been agreed that Steven will leave the Club upon the expiry of his existing contract. The 30-year-old defender, who made his 268th and final appearance for the Magpies in the 5-1 win over Tottenham on the final day of the season, leaves St. James’ Park after 13 seasons on Tyneside. Rafa Benitez said: “Steven has been a very good player for this club for a long time and his character and personality has always been very positive, including during difficult times. I would like to thank Steven for his service and I wish him well for his future.” Managing Director Lee Charnley said: “I have known Steven since he first joined the club as a teenager and during that time his enthusiasm and love for the club has never wavered. “He has always shown great commitment over the years. He has also been a superb ambassador for the club, representing Newcastle United at countless community and charitable events across the region during his time with us. I wish him all the very best for the future.” Steven said: “It’ll be a huge wrench to leave Newcastle but I’ve been offered exciting opportunities both in the UK and abroad and I’m really looking forward to my next challenge. I’ve loved my time at Newcastle. I’ll always be a huge fan of the Club and I’ll be returning to St James’ Park as a supporter whenever I can.” Steven earned a scholarship with the United Academy in July 2002 and signed his first professional contract with the club, aged 17, in July 2003. Steven made his United first team debut on 25 March 2004 against Real Mallorca in the UEFA Cup and followed that up by making his first appearance in the Premiership three days later at Bolton Wanderers. Steven won England caps from Under 16 level right through to England ‘B’ level, representing his country on no less than 58 occasions, many as captain, and scoring seven goals. He was called up to the full England squad for the first time for the friendly against Germany on 22 August 2007. Nothing about being offered a years extension.

Another bit of deadwood tossed overboard keep them coming we must rebuild "in Rafa we trust"

Mitrovic: "I am very happy in England but it is always good when you see your name linked to a club like Sporting." It's going to be like this all summer hopefully Rafa will tell them to sod off unless they want to be away. We don't want anyone who's not fully committed.

Rafa I have been asked about players wanting to leave. But I have had more players telling me they want to stay. That is positive. So we will deal with them and the main thing is we need players with passion, commitment and quality to make a difference in the Championship.

I don't want him to leave but you know yourselves if the stupid money starts being offered it could be the first test of Ashley & Rafa's relationship

West Ham, Everton, & Inter Milan have said they're interested could £15 million be the starting point for a bidding war? Leading us towards the stupid money.

Just reading West Ham are the latest club to be sniffing round for Perez (£15 million) with young Armstrong proving he can score goals will they cash in on Perez? I say let him go more money in the pot for Rafa to rebuild.

I was when we had shyte managing the team we were always going backward with JFK, Pardew, Carver, McClaren none of those had the quality Rafa has. He's also nobody's yes man I'm hoping he's allowed to do what he does best (the football side) & Ashley doesn't try any funny stuff as not only will Rafa walk he'll tell everyone why he walked.

This is the chance to completely clear the deadwood out don't forget Rafa's not only rebuilding a team to gain promotion but I'm sure he'll be looking at us doing similar to Leicester. This is the beginning of a new era for us hopefully a successful era I'm fairly sure Rafa wouldn't have taken the job if he didn't think he could make a success of it.

Confirmation of the cash paid to Premier League clubs at the end of a remarkable 2015/16 season includes some truly eye-watering sums. Newcastle finished 18th but made £72million Right there's plenty of money there for Rafa to rebuild a Championship winning team. There should be no stumbling blocks or excuses let's get him signed up & let him get on with rebuilding the footballing side of the club.

http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/rafa-benitez-deal-could-struck-11368007 Looks like Charnley's staying in fact he's been told to get on with it regarding negotiations with Rafa & running the club. It's unbelievable the amount of power this blokes been given when you think his former job to this was filling in the reserve team sheet. I just hope he doesn't fuck this up the future of the club depends on it.

Apparently the transfer budget is the key. If Ashley's wanting us back up with the first attempt surely the budget shouldn't be a problem. What money did we get for coming 18th in the Premiership ? There's that saying "speculate to accumulate"
-
For me this really is the worry it should be Rafa & Ashley sorting it out fuck Charnley he couldn't even sack McClaren properly
