  1. Apparently Borussia Dortmund, Schalke,Arsenal & Palace are all interested as well.
  2. Dont be suckered in it's Ashley we're talking about.
  3. John Carver announced at today’s Southampton pre-match press conference that the search for a new manager/head coach is ‘well under way’ and the appointment could be made by time the Hull match comes around. We play Hull on January 31st the window closes 2nd February forget about the transfer window.
  4. Just been reading they need another loan instantly otherwise they wont be able to pay wages next week
  5. Tanks on the lawn, i think if i've picked this up right Ashley has given Rangers a big loan, if they can't afford to pay it back (which seems ulikely given their financial state) Ashley will become the new owner of Rangers. Then hopefully he'll have to sell Newcastle United i know it's more complicated than that but that's how i've picked it up. Having said that i'm probably a million miles wrong.
  6. Carver's odds are at 2/1 today it's looking grim.
  7. Mike Ashley reveals intention to take out security over Rangers’ Ibrox home 29 mins ago by Jackie Smithfield It has been revealed this morning that Newcastle United owner Mike Ashley has posted his intent to take out security over Ibrox, the home of Rangers. The ‘notice of intention’ to take out security has been posted by Mike Ashley under the Sports Direct mantle. STV have reported that they have seen the relevant documents which show that Ashley/Sports Direct intend to add their name to the title deed of the ground. The Newcastle United owner has five weeks to complete the application but this is seen as a clear sign that Mike Ashley will provide a further loan to keep Rangers trading, the Glasgow club having already said that they don’t even have enough cash to see out January. In recent days Rangers turned down a package of around £20m from USA based Robert Sarver, stating it wasn’t a high enough offer. If Mike Ashley does indeed take up security of Ibrox in return for a loan then it will be something nobody else has managed, as a contingent liability was detailed in the club’s accounts relating to claims by Craig Whyte that he was the legal owner of Ibrox. Also, by lodging this document, if any other party came forward to provide funding they couldn’t secure the loan against Ibrox, because Mike Ashley’s notice of intention takes precedence. As Newcastle fans we continue to wonder what Mike Ashley has planned for both Rangers and especially Newcastle United. The fact he is clearly not giving up his Rangers involvement easily suggests that his hold over the Glasgow club will be ongoing but how will that impact on United?
  8. Yeah i'd love to see Palace sod off.
  9. Is the right answer & it's looking more and more like he could get it.
  10. http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/gary-lineker-accuses-newcastle-united-8440143 Lineker saying what we're all thinking.
  11. The worry for me is Carver's NOT ruled out.
  12. http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/newcastle-united-whittle-down-head-8434997 Definitely dragging their heels over this like.
  13. Carver's probably a good fit for Ashley but not for Newcastle United.
  14. If he's honest he only offered the fans out because he knew if Pardew had been sacked he was away with him. Same reason he's put himself up for the managers job because he know's whoever comes in are going to want their own people with them & he'll be down the road
  15. Ha ha ha it's fucking Ashley man that £3 million wont be seen again.
  16. http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/remi-garde-want-bring-backroom-8422569 Garde's backroom staff would have to bought out of their contracts & Carver & co would be looking at compensation as they're contracted until 2020.
  17. Dont be surprised if Ashley gives Carver the job if he does it will be at a fraction of the cost of anyone else. Any other manager is going to want to bring their own backroom staff and want money to bring in their own players i.e. wont be a cheap option. Carver on the other hand has all the backroom staff in place already knows the craic with transfers i.e. wont rock the boat and is desperate for the job.
  18. Aye it'll be cheap 'n' cheerless.
  19. The Sky Sports statement; ‘Newcastle have held informal talks with former Lyon coach Remi Garde about succeeding Alan Pardew at St. James’ Park according to Sky Sources. It is understood Garde is one of at least three people Newcastle have spoken to and the club will be speaking to one more candidate within the next 24 hours.’ Hopefully a successful candidate will be appointed shortly because there is some major work to be done to sort the club out both short and long-term.

  22. Well, well, well a miracle has occured at SJP.... Coloccini Janmaat Colback Sissoko According to physioroom.com on Tuesday they were all supposedly injured with no return date (obviously meaning serious injury) now we're told by Carver that they'll be fit for the Chelsea game along with Perez & Krul. So tomorrow were going to have a decent strength team that i doubt very much we will getting anything against a team who'll be out for revenge. I'd rather they'd have put out a decent team last week against Leicester in the FA Cup, oops silly me we dont do cups do we what a load of shite.
  23. Cheers mate i was really surprised there's 14 injured players that's a hell of a lot given the small squad we have.
