The worry for me is Carver's NOT ruled out.

http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/newcastle-united-whittle-down-head-8434997 Definitely dragging their heels over this like.
-
Carver's probably a good fit for Ashley but not for Newcastle United.
-
If he's honest he only offered the fans out because he knew if Pardew had been sacked he was away with him. Same reason he's put himself up for the managers job because he know's whoever comes in are going to want their own people with them & he'll be down the road
-
Ha ha ha it's fucking Ashley man that £3 million wont be seen again.

http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/remi-garde-want-bring-backroom-8422569 Garde's backroom staff would have to bought out of their contracts & Carver & co would be looking at compensation as they're contracted until 2020.
-
Dont be surprised if Ashley gives Carver the job if he does it will be at a fraction of the cost of anyone else. Any other manager is going to want to bring their own backroom staff and want money to bring in their own players i.e. wont be a cheap option. Carver on the other hand has all the backroom staff in place already knows the craic with transfers i.e. wont rock the boat and is desperate for the job.
-
Aye it'll be cheap 'n' cheerless.

The Sky Sports statement; ‘Newcastle have held informal talks with former Lyon coach Remi Garde about succeeding Alan Pardew at St. James’ Park according to Sky Sources. It is understood Garde is one of at least three people Newcastle have spoken to and the club will be speaking to one more candidate within the next 24 hours.’ Hopefully a successful candidate will be appointed shortly because there is some major work to be done to sort the club out both short and long-term.

Well, well, well a miracle has occured at SJP.... Coloccini Janmaat Colback Sissoko According to physioroom.com on Tuesday they were all supposedly injured with no return date (obviously meaning serious injury) now we're told by Carver that they'll be fit for the Chelsea game along with Perez & Krul. So tomorrow were going to have a decent strength team that i doubt very much we will getting anything against a team who'll be out for revenge. I'd rather they'd have put out a decent team last week against Leicester in the FA Cup, oops silly me we dont do cups do we what a load of shite.
-
Cheers mate i was really surprised there's 14 injured players that's a hell of a lot given the small squad we have.

Alan Shearer has fired another broadside at Newcastle United owner Mike Ashley and suggested he might have told Alan Pardew to leave for Crystal Palace. In a wide-ranging interview with the BBC, Shearer voiced his frustrations with the clubs FA Cup policy and also questioned whether United would get the kind of high-profile candidates the Newcastle job would usually attract. Asked whether Ashleys move for Rangers was a potential way out for him at Newcastle, Shearer said he was in the dark. But he said a small part of me thinks he might have spoken to Pardew about his future intentions. Here is what he had to say on key topics surrounding the Magpies direction. Newcastle United owner Mike Ashley ON ASHLEYS INTENTIONS: I dont know (what they are) because he never tells us anything. He doesnt speak to anyone, but theres a small part of me that thinks he might have given Alan Pardew a nod. It did make me laugh when I heard people saying that Alan wouldnt leave Newcastle to go to Crystal Palace. Theres a million reasons why Alan would leave Newcastle to go to Crystal Palace hed be on a better salary at a football club where the fans would want him, he would buy and sell the players he wanted. Theres three or four very, very good reasons to start with. Thats where Newcastle are as a football club Im afraid. Not good news but were used to that. 2014 Getty Images John Carver ON THE NEWCASTLE HEAD COACH JOB: I would think that Newcastle have had a million calls already for that job. Whether they have had a million calls from top managers, Im not quite sure. John Carver already said it after the game the position has changed. Its now a head coach, and the guy who goes in there has to understand hes not picking to buy the players and hes not deciding which players will be sold. Newcastle over the last few years have also sold their best players, and when you constantly do that Im afraid the inevitable will happen youre not going to win as many football matches as you should or you want. ON NEWCASTLE AND THE FA CUP: What they have constantly done in this competition is leave their best players out, which tells its own story. Thats what Newcastle is at this moment in time, I cant tell you anything different that you dont already know.

Not sure what would tempt Cabaye back here Salsaman we're out the league cup,out the FA cup, mid table on another bad run. Also we have no manager/head coach or whatever you want to call them the best we can hope for is Premiership survival & there's no guarantee of that. So i fail to see what would tempt him back.

Of course you can.

Should have won yesterday to lead 3 times at home to Burnley and only get a draw is not good enough regardless of who was in charge.
