Dont be surprised if Ashley gives Carver the job if he does it will be at a fraction of the cost of anyone else. Any other manager is going to want to bring their own backroom staff and want money to bring in their own players i.e. wont be a cheap option. Carver on the other hand has all the backroom staff in place already knows the craic with transfers i.e. wont rock the boat and is desperate for the job.

Alan Shearer has fired another broadside at Newcastle United owner Mike Ashley and suggested he might have told Alan Pardew to leave for Crystal Palace.
