Frank De Boer has dropped another hint that he will remain at Ajax beyond the end of this season. The Dutchman would be at least candidate for Newcastle United in the summer if John Carver does not get the head coach job on a permanent basis. De Boer, speaking in an interview in Holland, said that he would be reluctant to leave the Amsterdam club because of his deep roots he enjoys there. He said: “My heart says at this time therefore that I stay at Ajax. The chance that I’ll stay next season is greater than that I leave, I think.” In a separate interview, former Dutch international Marc Overmars claimed there was no chance of his old team-mate moving to England this year. Newcastle fans were asked last month who they wanted as head coach and 97% voted for De Boer.

JOHN Carver does NOT expect Newcastle United to bring in any senior players before Monday night’s transfer deadline. Newcastle in discussions over deals for three teenagers – MK Dons’s Dele Alli, Racing Santander’s David Concha and Sporting Gijon’s Jorge Mere – but they would be loaned back to their respective clubs. Many fans feel United’s squad is short of a striker and a defender. But head coach Carver, this week put in charge until the end of the season, is not expecting a senior arrival at St James’s Park. Asked if he expected the club to do any business, Carver said: “I wouldn’t have thought so, no. “I don’t get involved in it. I haven’t had any conversations about it. “I’m happy to work under these conditions. “My job is to work with the guys on the pitch and deal with what’s put in front of me.”

He see's "no reason why we can't go on a run" it must be a losing run he's talking about.

John Carver speaking today at his press conference; “Lee Charnley and the board saw enough on the pitch of how we are trying to play, for them to be encouraged.” “We have got 16 games left and why can’t we go on a run? I have seen enough to suggest we can.” Proud; “I am so proud and honoured to be able to be head coach of a football club like this. “We have had a lot more team meetings and video every training session now – I have one or two different ideas, like anyone would.”

Season Ticket Renewal/Apathy - £25 Half Season tickets
trooper replied to Tooj's topic in Newcastle Forum
spot on."Step right up ladies and gentleman please for mid table mediocrity and not a trophy in sight all hosted by Jordi John." We guarantee you'll save a fortune with early èxits from both league and F.A. Cups. Even booking trips away to Europe are a thinģ of the past so get your season tickets now you know it makes sense" -
The team are now picked by the guy who used to put out the cones and he was given the job by the other guy who used to fill in the reserves team sheet.

Well lets all back Carver Ashley Charnley & co everything at the clubs great, lets continue to have the piss took out of us after all it's what we deserve. You honestly can't tell me you trust Carver to avoid relegation 1 draw at home to Burnley & 3 defeats in the 4 he's been in charge thats relegation form. I can't think of any other job we're you we be rewarded like this for doing so badly. It wouldn't be so bad if they'd said it's Carver until the summer then we've got A.N. Other signed up but there's not so much as a hint if they've got someone lined up for the job long term why not say. Unless of course the provision for Garde etc coming is we are still a premiership club & even Charnley doesn't trust that to happen. A professional club run by amateurs.
-
Its Carver either way you look at it, if we stay up he'll get it & if we get relegated he'll get it because you can forget about Garde,De Boer, & co coming to a champioship club.

Nee bother mate cheers

http://m.stv.tv/sport/football/clubs/rangers/308041-rangers-agree-10m-loan-with-mike-ashley-for-26-of-retail-business/ This will see him taking over 26% of the retail business until the loans paid back. He knows there's no way of paying it back due to falling attendances it's just a matter of time until he gets the lot.

HULL CITY (January 31) Carver will know that his appointment on an interim basis is not the most popular decision that Newcastle have made. After three defeats and a draw, he has lost credibility and needs to win it back quickly to avoid this season going the same way as the last. Never mind that, United still haven’t wriggled free of trouble at the bottom of the Premier League – and struggling Hull will be looking to capitalise. It is imperative that Carver picks a team to impress the huge travelling faithful and proves that he is more than just a cheap option to buy Lee Charnley some time. CRYSTAL PALACE (February 11) It will have escaped no-one’s attention that Alan Pardew has started life as Crystal Palace manager with something of a bang. Four wins in four has given him a new lease of life and brought Palace to within touching distance of Newcastle. Carver remains very close to Pardew and the pair have exchanged texts and calls since he left St James’ Park. But the old pals’ act needs to end here. Defeat at Selhurst Park, one of the few away grounds Newcastle have won at this season, would be a bitter, bitter pill to swallow. ASTON VILLA (February 28) If things aren’t going well, this is going to be a massive game. Villa are scrapping for their lives and Newcastle will hope to take advantage at St James’ Park, where the atmosphere has been dreadfully flat in recent weeks. If Newcastle need three more wins this season, this has to be one where they are confident of banking three points. SUNDERLAND (April 4) Arguably the biggest game of the run-in, regardless of where Newcastle are at the time of it arriving. Quite simply, the record against Sunderland under Alan Pardew was unacceptable for a Newcastle boss. Carver was tainted by association, having stood next to Pardew and plotted the Black Cats’ downfall at the same time. So what does that mean for him when Newcastle go to Sunderland looking for their first win in this fixture since 2011? Carver simply cannot afford to lose. WEST HAM (May 24) The final game of the season is going to be a huge referendum on where Newcastle stand at the moment. There are rumblings once again about fans abandoning their season tickets but those noises last season came to nothing as the club reported similar sales. The sense of disenchantment is not far away again. Those who predicted no buys and Carver in charge in May have been proved right – and however much Charnley assures us that there is a plan in the background, he has to accept that the cynics – once again – have been proved right. 80 candidates bollocks, due diligence my arse, they new all along it was Carver, smoke 'n' mirrors thats all it ever was. Forget about Tuchel, Garde or Schuster the new permanent Newcastle United manager/headcoach/geordie boot boy will be Mr John ( i worked with Sir Bobby )Carver. The fact that there's no mention that he's doing the job until a permanent replacement is appointed is worrying. I just really hope we can start picking up points otherwise we're knackered a gamblers luck runs out eventually could this be a gamble too much for Ashley ?
