Riviere has picked up a knock in training and may not be fit for the Leicester game. With Krul, Dummet & Janmaat all sent home from their respective international teams injured during the week makes you wonder what kind of a team he'll turn out. Remember he brought Cisse on the other week against Hull even though he knew he wasn't fully fit.
-
So no Riviere or Cabella that didnt take long.
-
Pardew confirmed that Krul, Janmaat & Dummet had all trained today (Thursday) and will be fit to face Leicester.

Cisse’s back – with enthusiasm; “Papiss (Cisse) looks rejuvenated and there is a bit more enthusiasm in him. We’ve been missing his quality and he is very important.” Most important thing is a win…; “The most important thing is that we win the game on Saturday. We need to for the fans and the whole club, I hope we get it.” Don’t leave the back door open; “Emphasis will be on us to break Leicester down but not leave ourselves open to the counter-attack. We have to be wary of that.” This from Pardew's press conference today.

With out sounding like Pardew this is a BIG game if we dont at least get a point (you would hope for all 3) Everton are at home to Villa and if they get something and we get nothing a gap opens up. If Everton draw and we get nothing its a 3 point gap with Everton. If we lose and Everton win its at least a 4 point gap with other clubs before the results come in.

My favourite Hillage album was the L album.

Alan Pardew - Poltroon sacked by a forrin team
trooper replied to Kid Dynamite's topic in Newcastle Forum
Alan Pardew has warned Leicester City that Papiss Cisse is in the mood to inflict more damage to another Premier League defence on Saturday. The Newcastle boss is back on the training field with his squad after the international break and will hope Cisse is fit enough to play a part against the Foxes after starring for Senegal against Tunisia. Cisse has netted four times in three games for Newcastle after coming back from a knee injury and Pardew feels he is ready to add to his tally in the next few games. He said: “You need to have somebody who can score goals in the Premier League. You need that cutting edge and somebody who is going to deliver for you. “He’s got that (at the) moment when we need it.”Cisse was fielded in an unorthodox position at times in the last two seasons when he was used as a right winger for the first time in his career under Pardew. Now, though, Pardew believes Cisse has a big part to play in his preferred central role. Pardew added: “I said that this team will benefit Papiss and Papiss will benefit us. Hopefully that continues. “It’s four goals and it’s good going for him.” If we play like the last 20 minutes of the Swansea game we should be ok get the ball up the wings and whipped into the box for Cisse. If he gets the service he'll score there's no question about that.- 10610 replies

Loved Hillages solo stuff seen him a few times in the 70s at the City Hall. He did one show where there was only downstairs seating as the show was in quadrophonic a new thing in the 70s.

I would imagine the early Gong albums were made under the influence with titles like Flying Teapot, Radio Gnome Invisible & Pot Head Pixies.

I wonder if Shearer gets barred from SJP for saying this it ? wouldnt surprise me.

Again the cost to Ashley of these free tickets was a mere drop in the ocean. I think he got the lip on about season ticket holders chucking it in and decided everyone would pay just his way of being spiteful and vindictive.
-
Yeah he has to pay like everyone else now. Ashley stopped ALL free tickets in April this year as part of a cost cutting exercise even Carvers family have to buy tickets now.
-
Im exactly the same as the fans at the minute - Im one of them. I pay for my ticket and Im the same. I am entitled to my opinion. It hasnt been pleasant watching to be honest. Its been poor. With Newcastle in the bottom three going into the dark evenings Shearer feels that the problems at United havent just unfolded overnight. He said: It has been poor since January this year, The quicker we can get out of it the better. But he feels a tough scrap against relegation could lie ahead. He said: I dont hold too much hope for us this season. I think it could be a long hard season for us. Pardew will prepare his players for another crunch fixture on Saturday against Leicester amidst a backdrop of pressure with sections of the Toon Army still on his back. Now Shearer believes there can be no excuses going into the battle with former Newcastle coach Nigel Pearsons newly promoted Foxes. Shearer said: Nobody can make any excuses. The simple fact is we havent been good enough. You can make whatever excuses you want. Injuries, too many games or confidence. Put all of that to one side, the simple fact of the matter is we just have not been good enough. We havent been unlucky. We havent been ravaged by injuries. We havent been done by dodgy decisions. We just havent been good enough. Its simple. Thats the harsh reality of it. Things have to improve and they have to improve pretty quickly or we could find ourselves in a hole.

Now Tim Krul has injured his elbow in training, the Newcastle keeper instantly sent home to Tyneside and he misses the Iceland match on Monday, Kenneth Vermeer replacing him.

Thats just it though mate I dont think he's that bothered he probably thinks he'll sell us cheap and quick if we're in the Championship it'll be his final kick in the nuts to us. I think he'd take the financial loss (its nothing to him) if it meant he got his revenge by leaving us in the championship.
-
Zero, zilch, nothing as I think Ashley's done with us. Any further investment will be either at Rangers or Oldham I just can't see him bothering here.
