It was a bloody awful game that we struggled to beat a mediocre team in extra time. At half time I was going to turn the match off but my curiosity got the better of me. Rivierie's goals were overdue I'm still not sure about him hopefully this will boost his confidence. I doubt that last night's team will progress against Man City so it'll suit Pardew & Ashley (the cups aren't a priority). Also the extra time last night has now given Pardew the perfect excuse against Stoke if we are beaten. An awful game by an awful team that has relegation written all over it fanks Alan & Mike.

I can't really see many people getting much enjoyment football wise this year. I do understand it's about the whole day having a couple of drinks with your mates and a bit of banter. But I could see more enjoyment in going the pub with your mates having a bit of banter and not paying for the privilege of watching the dross that's been served up this year.

Pardew showed a masterclass in substitutions last week by taking off Sissoko. Then replacing him with Sammy Ameobi in the 89th minute when we were 0-4 down against Southampton pure genius.

We dont know who the people are behind SPDC but we do know they seem to be very organised, professional & knowledgeable. They seem to be able to do the ground work of informing & organising but ultimately it's the fans that are going to have to bite the bullet (for better or worse) and carry things forward.

If the protest in the ground didnt work would the SPDC group consider a peaceful protest outside the ground. Again informing the local council, police, tv, radio and newspaper media. Maybe's people were scared to protest in the ground through fear of being ejected or refused entry to the ground.

It was obvious on Saturday the more vocal supporters have left the ground.

The good thing is they aren't disheartened.
