  1. It's scary to think we face Man City in 2 weeks there doesn't seem to be any team spirit on the pitch it's nobody's interested.
  2. Rob Lee spot on it looks like a training game
  3. We are going to get murdered in the premiership if this is what we've got.
  4. Fuckin' hell get him signed now
  5. Can't help thinking Pardew's trying to convince us that Perez is THE striker.
  6. Yeah he's getting a bit cocky with the professionalism phrase the blokes a dickhead no change there though.
  7. Pardew has finally opened up on the Hatem Ben Arfa situation at Newcastle United. The playmaker has been axed and is training with the reserves at Benton. And after leaving him out of the squad for the Schalke 04 Cup this weekend, Pardew has suggested that Ben Arfa’s lack of professionalism has cost him a place in the Toon squad this summer. “It’s a simple situation,” Pardew told BBC Newcastle. “We have a professionalism and a level of commitment to our work that he needs to fall into and until he falls into that he won’t be part of the first team. He isn’t at the moment and he’s injured today, ironically, but he’s still part of the club.” "We have a professionalism" bit rich coming from someone who was banned for misconduct last season.
  8. Alan Pardew says that Newcastle United have thrown the towel in on signing Loic Remy. The Queens Park Rangers striker has returned to his parent club after failing a medical with Liverpool – but Pardew has indicated that he is no longer chasing last season’s top scorer. He said: “I think he’s had plenty of chances to come to us. “We made it very clear that we would like to have him and it hasn’t really happened and therefore sometimes you have to say where’s the line drawn for us as a club as we have our own respect and our own professionalism. “So maybe that one has gone away but like all transfers they’re never, ever over so we’ll keep our finger on the pulse.”
  9. It seems like there's no backing down from both sides
  10. I think we're all starting to realise there is something more than Ben Arfur being a couple of lbs overweight.
  11. What did happen to Marveaux anyway? Similar thing as Ben Arfur made to train with the reserves he's now gone out on a 12 month loan to Guingcamp.
  12. Can't help but think the lack of ambition statement by the club has done us no favours either.
  13. Hatem Ben Arfa’s Adviser, Michael Ouazine; “It is incomprehensible. We do not know what the problem is, in the past Pardew has said that Hatem was extraordinary. “We are now in a situation where there does not seem to be a solution. Hatem simply does his job and trains well, he is enjoying training with the reserves where he has a great coach in Peter Beardsley. “It is harassment, humiliation (referring to 10,000 Euros fine for HBA coming back allegedly 1.5 kilos overweight), we will challenge that fine. “We asked them (Newcastle United) to give us all the players’ physical records. Hatem went on holiday with a personal trainer, he worked to prepare for the season. 1.5 kilos? Yes, but it is a poud of muscle and 500 grammes of fat. He lost 2% of body fat and so we challenge this fine.” Jean-Jacques Bertrand (French lawyer specialising in Sports Law); “There are two things. The principle of the punishment and the scale of it. “What procedure was followed? If we were dealing with a situation that clearly impacts on performance, and it was certified that he was the only one overweight…I do not imagine for one second though that upon returning from leave, out of 25 players only 1 is overweight – and we talk about 1.5kg, not 5kg. “The nature of the fine for me is abusive, but in addition, the fine is part of a broader context of successive measure to harass the player. “We have learned the homeowner has not received rent for three months. So we checked his payslips to check that there was always the rent deducted from his salary. The club has now paid the owner the rent collected from the player’s salary.” Hatem’s advisor Michale Ouazine again; “Hatem is able to go after his contract ends; 6 months, a year, that’s not a problem. “In two months Pardew may be far away (from Newcastle United). Hatem loves this club and he is idolised by the fans. “Hatem can only stay professional, when the events are beyond his control and not his doing. “The elements are unfavourable at the moment, there is no dialogue, no talking to him. You saw how they treated Marveaux… Lyon is his first club…but it is very difficult financially because Newcastle want a lot (of cash).”
  14. It's not easy getting a striker when the clubs been run on a shoestring budget we're just about even money wise with the players we've got in and the sale of Cabaye & Debuchy. They dont have to break the bank either there's plenty of money (TV, WONGA) to spend.
  15. With a little over 2 weeks until the Man City game and we're still fannying around trying to find a striker
  16. Even Pardew couldn't think Perez was THE striker we need just because he's scored in a friendly.
  17. Ayoze Perez has been signed for now. “We know he has some development in his body , he is still quite frail compared to the physical specimens you have in the Premiershipm but he has shown quality and had one great chance tonight which he finished in style. “He has shown that in training, he has got real flair and I think he is a player our fans are going to like. “Hopefully he will have more of an impact than we are hoping for…if that makes sense.” Looks like we've got our fret fanks Al fanks mate.
  18. Good luck Stevie hope everything goes ok.
  19. We're tramps, and these arseholes licking his arse "oh look at the £30m he's spent this summer :-D", we've generated £32m with Cabaye and Debuchy. The club is dead, and Pardew coming out with statements like the champions league is our target, really?!? You better ask Mike what the real target is. Scumbag club. Spot on Stevie nowt's changed.
