Alan Pardew - Poltroon sacked by a forrin team
trooper replied to Kid Dynamite's topic in Newcastle Forum
“If you don’t make the Champions League then the big teams come for your players – look at Southampton. “We are pushing every year to try and build to hopefully get to a stage where we make it without losing our players. “We have pitched in and signed players that we think give us a chance to push for Champions League. We’ve already shown we are much better covered offensively than we were after Yohan Cabaye’s departure. “We have options, more options to come in and it is going to strengthen my hand to tactically change the team.” So a few weeks ago we were told the cups and europe weren't a priority now we've signed players to give us a chance at the CL.- 10610 replies

Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa is set to go out on loan from Newcastle United, if the club pay a sizeable part of his wages. RMC radio in France are reporting that Newcastle are in talks with Yoan Gouffran’s old club Bordeaux but it is taking time to haggle over the proportion of Mapou’s wages that United will subsidise. Yet again against Sydney FC on Tuesday, the one-time youthful title winning captain of Montpellier found himself filling in at right-back, whilst this time Steven Taylor partnered Coloccini in the middle. Last season the defender only started 17 Premier League matches and was never given a proper run in the team at centre-half. If indeed Mapou goes out on loan and United pay for the privilege, it will be a crazy situation when United have such a small squad of capable players yet one who was such a great prospect when he arrived, isn’t given a proper chance to prove himself at St.James’ Park.

Could be the final piece in the jigsaw for now.

He's going to be getting £60/65,000 a week for a year it seems madness not to give him a number and use him if required.

The ultimate tribute the club could do is sign two marquee strikers and try and win the league or FA cup or even try for a place in Europe. Then if we did win a cup or qualify for Europe dedicate it in the lads memories -
If he doesn't have a squad number would he still be eligible to play (highly unlikely I know) if called upon.

Thanks Meenze

Sorry I cant translate the article above but according to The Mag it mentions he was offered an extended contract on less money and he hasn't been given a squad number. If anyone can translate it I'd be grateful cheers lads.

RIP lads condolences to families and friends. -
Thats what I mean but there's more to it than the weight issue there has to be. It's been pointed out he could drop that in a week no problem but Pardew seems to have gone way OTT. Made to train with the reserves, not in the team for the Oldham game, fined €2,000 & told he wouldn't be going on the NZ trip I'm beginning to think there might be some truth in the rumour he chinned Pardew.

If he was only 3lbs overweight he must have been losing it because he looked a lot heavier last season.
