We must have a plan B thats another one slipped the net.
-
Still think £8 million is awfully cheap for him yeah I know he's nearly 29 but he's the finished article and a world class player. Can't help but think he may have had a Cabaye moment and the club promising he could get away after the WC.
-
That would be splendid Mr Fish.
-
Of course if he stays Pardews got a whipping boy for if/when it goes tits up.

Probably weighing up all his options.
-
Most other clubs usually have a plan ie have replacements lined up for out going players something our lot dont seem to bother doing.
-
The club want to stop these lengthy contracts as they mean nothing at all may as well have a 12 month and we'll see how it goes. De Jong snr supposedly on a 6 year contract you can guarantee if he's any good he'll be off in 12/18 months .
-
I think we all know its a forgone conclusion that he's leaving hopefully it'll be for a lot more than £8 million.
-
If that figures correct it feels like he's being given away. With the amount of interest I expected a bidding war having said that he was never going to stay once Cabaye got away.
-
Still need some fret up front Cisse's return isn't until mid September at best and lets face it he couldn't buy a goal last season.
-
Of course they will it means fuck all stupid me. They should say they'll stay until they get a better offer it would cut down the paperwork.
-
Will the club just let him walk even though he still has 4 years on his contract.
-
I think somethings been lost in translation.
-
I suppose we've got to wait until the big lads come back from the WC to see what kind of a squad we have. But we still need the finished article strikers.

Cheers mate like Mr Gloves I wouldn't mind knowing what this is worth to Oldham sponsoring the shirts, taking over the club shop, renaming the ground. He hasn't bought the club (yet) but the talk is now the young 'uns will be sent there to develop them.
-
The price for the new stand is reported to be £6.5 million.
-
If you look on Oldhams site they're building a massive new stand the money must have come from somewhere to finance that.
-
No idea mate but they might as well rename the team Sports Direct Athletic

Oldham Athletic have agreed a record five-year sponsorship deal with Sports Direct and kit suppliers Sondico.6 SharesShareTweet+1EmailBoundary Park, home of Oldham Athletic Oldham Athletic have agreed a record five-year sponsorship deal with Sports Direct and kit suppliers Sondico. Boundary Park will now become SportsDirect.com Park, with the retail giant the new name on the shirts. A new club shop will open within the new North Stand. Latics Chairman, Simon Corney, told the club's website: "This is a landmark day for the football club. We are delighted to enter into a partnership of this magnitude with Sports Direct. A lot of work has gone into this deal which see's Sports Direct become our front of shirt partner and Sondico become our technical kit partner for the next five seasons, as well as the renaming of Boundary Park to SportsDirect.com Park. "There is a lot going on at the club, with the construction of the new stand and the opportunities this affords us. We have a dynamic young manager who is looking to assemble a squad to build upon the excellent finish we enjoyed to last season."

You'd like to think that wasn't it on the incoming front. If we are to get another one or two I'd like to think we'd get them in sooner rather than later get them training together.

So we need a striker to play in midfield to even things out or Krul's replacement to play centre forward.
