  1. Scary thing is it could happen now Bruce is here.
  2. Look at Rondon he couldn't be happier
  3. A.C. Milan interested in Schar & Fernandez
  4. Bob Concur trying to convince us I watched them train and he (Steve Bruce) has them up and running. There was a bit of old school running in pre-season. It may prove successful.” Who is anybody to criticise his style before giving him a chance? “Steve has been appointed and it’s done and dusted. “Sadly, Rafa Benitez has gone and he made his choice, whatever you can say about the circumstances it is history now unfortunately. “Steve has come in and he knows he wasn’t first choice – at the end of the day he is the guy who had the gumption to take on the challenge. It is a massive challenge. Everybody knows it is a very difficult job and regardless of what people might think, you have to get behind him now. “I wish him success. “There’s no magical thing about this, he is the boss, let’s get behind him and support him.
  5. I like the "I will have control who we bring in" yeah right you'll have what your given
  6. From Bruce's presser today... I don’t really want to go into specifics…but there are have been a couple of things that have been written. “The big one (claim) is – I am going to sit here and be a puppet. That will not happen and I am in charge of transfers. “It is just like most football clubs, I will have the final say on transfers. have read all kinds of nonsense that I won’t. “I will work hard to make sure I work with the chief scout and the policy is like most other clubs, identify players and making sure they fit in. “I will have control of who we bring in. “We want to make a couple of acquisitions at least… “With the loss of Perez and Rondon it is where we have to immediately take a look. “Make no mistake, we are active as we speak and hopefully we will get them over the line. “I couldn’t refuse it (the NUFC job). I regretted it some ten years ago, whenever it was, and kicked myself – why didn’t I do it? So when the opportunity came, I was determined to grasp it and give it a go. “Make no mistake, I’ve come with my eyes wide open. I understand I’ve got big boots to fill, but I’ve been around the block a long time and to be given the opportunity… I’m delighted.” Showing no loyalty to Sheffield Wednesday and walking out on them: A contract is a contract and it also applies when a manager resigns. “I am disappointed as I thought it was in hand. “It is the challenge of managing Newcastle United (that was my motivation) that was the overriding factor for me to be as selfish as I was.”
  7. Rafa didnt want The Linton Kid
  8. There's talk of this Joe Linton kid costing €53 million (£47+ million) it's ridiculous when he only scored 7 league goals last season
  9. Apparently Bruce has said Gayle has a calf injury he didn't specify how long he'd be out. This means Newcastle will start with Muto the lone striker against West Ham again on Saturday morning
  10. This from The Mail Newcastle United stars Jonjo Shelvey and Karl Darlow were involved in a 3am street fight where a rival was punched and kicked after alopecia-sufferer Shelvey was allegedly called a ‘bald c***’ in a takeaway after a pub crawl, MailOnline can reveal today. The fracas in Morpeth, Northumberland, kicked off when the millionaire midfielder responded by telling his abuser: ‘Go back to your council house, you peasant’. The fight came just ten hours before the squad flew to China for the troubled Premier League club’s pre-season tour, which began with a 4-0 thrashing by Wolves yesterday. In exclusive footage of the bust up, goalkeeper Darlow, wearing a black hoodie, shorts and white trainers, appears to aim a kick at a man who had been shoved to the ground after punches were thrown. Shelvey, who is wearing a white cap and designer ‘slider’ flip-flops, tries force his way into the brawl before being pushed back to the pavement in the early hours of Saturday morning. Newcastle’s highest paid player, who earns £70,000-a-week, had been in a takeaway when he was allegedly verbally abused about his lack of hair. A source told MailOnline: ‘Jonjo Shelvey was in the takeaway when a group of lads called him a “bald c***”. He laughed it off and said, “‘Go back to your council house, you peasant”. But a friend of Karl Darlow has then got protective and weighed in with a punch. It would appear Darlow has also got involved in the fight. Shelvey is now getting some grief from the lads involved, although he was not involved in the actual altercation.’ Shelvey and Darlow, who are currently in China, had been drinking with friends including fellow player Jack Colback in the Black Bull pub. One woman watching the fight from across the road yelps and says ‘that was cheeky’, referring to Darlow as ‘that keeper guy’, after he aims a kick.’
  11. Ashley knows the art of deception. Popular manager leaves announce there's a takeover. Appoint a shite manager on a 3 year contract & the takeover fades into obscurity
  12. Charnley Steve has a deep affection for Newcastle Unitedand we are very pleased that a coach with his vast experience and connections to the club and city has joined us. Steve knows what this club means to supporters and to the region and he will put his heart and soul into leading our talented group of players with the full support of our staff. “The hard work for Steve and his team starts immediately and we will be fully prepared for the challenge of a new Premier League season. “I would place on record my thanks to Ben Dawson, Neil Redfearn and our medical and support staff for the way in which they have worked together to oversee the start of our pre-season preparations.”
  13. This from Sheffield Wednesday "The Club is disappointed to learn via public statement issued by Newcastle United that it has appointed former Sheffield Wednesday staff Steve Bruce, Steve Agnew and Steve Clemence. Regardless of the fact that the staff resigned from their positions with the Club on Monday, there remains outstanding legal issues to be resolved between the club and the staff and Newcastle United. “The Club is currently considering its position and taking the appropriate legal advice. “No further comment will be made by the Club concerning this matter.”
  14. Colback starting & the shirt looks like it has SD on it's in Chinese writing so may not say that but its definitely been made to look like it
  15. Well this should knock a few more thousand off tickets sales now its official. 3 years for ffs I guess this means the takeover's off.
  16. NUFC 360 @NUFC360 · 1h Bruno Genesio will not become #nufc manager. His agent, Pini Zahavi, said he was the preferred choice of Peter Kenyon, who came close to taking over the club. Ashley has taken the club off the market, does not want to sell and will appoint Steve Bruce instead. [L’Equipe] There we go
