Are you suggesting some fatty solidarity might ensue and Mike force Pards to field him? Surely a man with Pardew's principles would resign immediately.
-
I don't think our cock of a manager has the personal skills to hold out that olive branch, unfortunately.

Regardless of it being pointless, what about the "blip". The use of such word suggests we're meant to see two transfer windows without a permanent signing as a hiccup. Nah. -

A pointless statistic given the blip as well as the other significant variables involved. I personally don't believe the £12m for Cabella figure, either. -
Season Ticket Renewal/Apathy - £25 Half Season tickets

Really? This is brand new information! -
Hopefully we'll sell him pretty quickly. Not because I don't want him here, but because seeing their reaction to us cashing in will be the most entertaining readytogo reading yet

Pards would like to pay tributary to Mike, himless, Lee, Graham for bursting the bank for this signing and allowing the transfer window to flow smoothly. I'm off.

Hopefully West Ham paying £15m for a striker to partner their £15m striker puts our business into perspective a little. -

If anybody was wondering what the major selling point was for us. Was it because he'll fit into the system we intend to play? Nope... It's because....

With our record of developing players, spending £6m on one to develop mightn't be wise

Join the battalion then, you racist!

I'll give it a go, I find applying advice difficult though and usually end up just trying to leather it

The way he defends is what makes him good at attacking. He tries not to give players time to turn and run at him. He gets tight, intercepts then immediately looks to break. It's a style that means he'll always concede fouls. We're worse off for this deal, not sure why people can't see that.
-
Not really. Some clubs replace outgoings with players of bigger reputations. We're doing the opposite.
-
For a reason, man. That people have started being happy at selling one of our best players just because we've actually replaced him is a sad reflection on how low expectations are. I was hoping the protests towards the end of last season were the start of a revolt against these fucking pricks. A couple of cheap signings and people are trying to drawing positives. Fuck the (questionable) positives, and see it for what it is.
-
A simplistic view of it, given the strength in depth France have in that position and given that he isn't an auto-starter for the dutch.
-
I agree there appears to be decent signings coming in, but there's proven decent players going out. So who knows if it'll improve?
-
Because players can look good in short periods. Maintaining form and consistency is what seperates alright defenders from good ones, and that Holland team dominates games possession wise, their defence was rarely under sustained pressure.
-
But that's not what your argument was. You were talking about our signings showing ambition. You'd think them shamelessly spelling it out in that fans meeting thing would be enough for it to sink in, they have no ambition, other than to make money.
-
I'm just wondering when turning 29 became old for a footballer? You base your 'good business' statement on his age, yet (confusingly) go on to say he's at the peak of his powers.
-
That Villa defender looked a top player in the same team. I don't think it's reasonable to draw that conclusion from a handful of games in a different environment.
-
Selling one of the few positives from last season and replacing with a cheaper player, unproven in the league isn't going to improve the dross.
-
Aye, it's still an issue.
