  1. This so called 'team' started going downhill when it was announced that maybe 10 would be leaving at the end of the season. So in retaliation the whole squad decided to stop playing. I am rather tired of the sympathy votes that Raylor and Jonas get. Yes they both had serious illnesses but they should only have come back if there was absolutely NO ONE else fit to play. Willo and Janmaat get sent off because it stops them getting any more hassle. Sissoko is nothing like the player he was and that goes for the likes of Krul and Colo. I would love to know what goes on in training. Does Carver practice on getting set pieces right? If he does, then that shows what a shit coach he is. Why were De Jong, Abeid and Cabella on the bench? They need a minimum of 1 point to survive from West Brom, QPR and West Ham. Will they get it. The odds are well against it. That was the most embarrassing team I watched all this season.
  2. If McLaren does get the job of Head Coach he will want a fresh start and could bring in a number of coaches from Holland, where he has excellent contacts.
  3. Keep: Janmaat, Hiadara, Abeid, Sissoko, Colback(?), De Jong, Perez, Aarons, Saylor (back up) Get shot of: Armstrong, Raylor, Krul, Elliot, Dummett, Willo, Colo, Gouffran, Anita, Obertan, Sami, Tiote, Riviere, Cisse Sign: Adrian, Bolasie, Austin, Berahino, Vlaar, Dier + 9 others. Any suggestions.
  4. One thing is for sure when Carver gets binned at the end of the season. I doubt with his record that another club would touch him. Take early retirement at 50.
  5. If Janmaat is shite then why are Southampton who have a Dutch manager, planning a double bid for him and Krul in the summer.
  6. Carver said that managing Newcastle was the hardest job in football. Wrong JC. It is only the hardest job if you are a clueless and tactically inept coach surrounded by even worse coaches. The medical staff seem to take months and months to get injured players fit. You keep playing dead beats like Gouffran, Obertan and Riviere.
  7. No. Once and for all and this being a televised game it will show the world what the vast majority of fans really think.
  8. He signed an 8 year contract extension in September 2012. He had already been in the job for 2 years.
  9. Pardew and Klopp had one thing in common. They both had 10 year contracts and neither stayed the course. If there is one football manager who loves a challenge it is Jurgen. If Ashley offered him a 10 year £5 million a year contract you never know.
  10. I will never understand how a highly intelligent person like Sir Bobby ever rated Carver. And the same goes for any player who rates him. He is totally and utterly useless and the new Manager's first job should be to get shot of the lot of them.
  11. Shields Gazette report that Carver said we will have to carry out due diligence on future signings as there is something not right with the current crop of players. Good time to come out with that just before the Liverpool. game. One thing for sure is that Carver won't be carrying out the due diligence as he won't be anywhere near SJP next season. He should count himself lucky that Ashley/Charnley did not carry out due diligence on himself.
  12. I find it laughable that a shit coach like Carver can judge an Italian international footballer. Coaches like Carver always go for the lowest common denominator, examples being Riviere, Gouffran, so if the team play badly it is always down to the players and not him.
  13. Vukic says he wants to leave Newcastle and play in the SPL.
  14. Carver strikes me as a person who because he has always been a No. 2 feels he has never been appreciated or even heard about the work he has done. Now he gets the chance to be a very temporary No. 1 and can't stop the verbal diarrhea crap that is coming out of what passes for a mouth. I can't see McLaren or anyone else keeping him on after this season.
  15. And he was back in the Italy squad for the England game.
  16. It was so obvious that not one of the 14 players was playing for Carver or the club or the fans. I am sick and tired of other Managers/coaches coming out and praising Carver I am sick and tired of being told to give him a chance because he is a 'Geordie'. Who cares? That is the worst away display I have seen for over 40 years. I now see media reports where he states we could be in a relegation battle. I expect him soon to start blaming Pardew for all our problems.
  17. We could win if Carver remembers to tell the players not to punt the ball high in the penalty area when you have a 6'7" goalkeeper in Pantilimon. If you watch the goals they have conceded over the last 6 games, 90% have been scored when the scorer shoots low and hard.
  18. I agree with your comments but surely it is down to our 'outstanding' coaching staff to help him improve his touch and link up play. As for our best players I would consider Janmaat, Sissoko, Perez who has loads of potential under the right coaches and Cabella who is at last showing what he is capable of. It is fairly obvious that any scouts who recommended Riviere would have known he only scores goals for Monaco when he is not the lone striker.
  19. For a start Hazard and Silva are not centre forwards. Costa, Kane, Aguero, Austin and Giroud who are centre forwards have scored more as have Sanchez and Berahino.
  20. My point was that 99% of players always quote winning things in the CL as their excuse for moving and not the money. Cabaye said that when he moved and he ended up playing only 7 games in the CL over 2 seasons and has said he will be having talks with PSG over his future at the end of the season. Harry Kane who imo has more potential than Sterling has signed a new contract on £45k a week, a quarter of what Sterling is looking for.
  21. I wouldn't class Tiote, Krul or Cisse as 3 of our best players. They were at some time in their time at SJP but each for different reasons no longer are. Cisse has dodgy knees, Tiote can rarely control himself and is guaranteed to get 10 bookings a season and Krul seems to lost a lot of his instincts. His positioning at set pieces has become poor and his kicking has never improved.
  22. Sterling is only 20 and has achieved nothing in his career so far, but his agent feels he is worth £180000 a week. Sterling does an interview on BBC without his club's permission and maintains money is not the problem, but that he wants to play for a club that wins honours. So why did he sign for Liverpool in the first place. I reckon a 20 year old guy in a full time job probably earns £16/18 grand a YEAR. That means that guy would have to work TEN YEARS to earn what Sterling wants in a WEEK. The argument usually is footballers have a short term career. That may be correct but if Sterling never got a rise and played till he was 35 he would have walked away with £140 MILLION before tax etc.
  23. Or maybe Jonas stayed because he knew no other club would pay him 60 grand a week.
  24. He will do what Tesco has done which is put staff on 8 hours a week contract, so when they go on holiday say for 2 weeks they only get 16 hours holiday pay
