  1. Well done! You're obviously even geekier than we thought!
  2. Welcome to the world of anaesthesia. I can put you to sleep in an instant and only wake you up when I'm good and ready. You won't feel a thing
  3. Hey Fist. We could do a rapid sequence induction with a bit of Thio and Sux. A bougie to hand if needed. Intubate with a size 4 McCoy blade and a size 8.0 ETT. Fentanyl on induction (obviously) and we'll use Desflourane inside. TAP blocks at the end and Bob's your uncle
  4. Ah okay. The gasman that does our carotids does them awake normally. I could fancy doing some neuro but they don't do any at our place at all.
  5. Corned beef, sausage and mince. And they're just your fingers
  6. Starts in 15mins on BBC1. Quote of the series so far in one of the trailers.. "I have many fingers in many pies and I have as many talents as I have fingers...." I hate them all already
  7. I've never done neuro anaesthetics. Do you use local and sedation until they get to the brain or GA and wake them?
  8. Boooo I hate going to bed on a sunny day.
  9. What's your plans kids? I think that ironing may have to take a back seat again today while we go to the beach.
  10. Uncharacterisically productive but a bit bogged down with some personal stuff. Finished work at 8 and have hoovered, mopped the kitchen floor, scrubbed the kitchen, had a toy clearout, done some paperworky stuff and am just sitting down with a cuppa. Got a pile of ironing to tackle but can't face it at the mo. Think I'm ready for a proper holiday away from everything.
  11. If I know it's going to be like that then I make sure I'm working that night with no chance of swapping shifts whatsoever
  12. Just finished watching the final and I'm chuffed to bits with the result, although they were all pretty amazing
  13. You're mistaking me for a pretentious ponce Watching the Masterchef final atm then will hopefully sleep through the football and get up just in time to go back and do it all again tonight. Hopefully will have a patient that doesn't try quite so hard to die this evening
  14. Sod you lot! I made my own bacon and egg sarnie Should really go to bed soon but have got post-mental night adrenaline going on..
  15. Tacky hen do's are my worst nightmare. The best one I've been on was a weekend in London where we went for dinner on the first night then to see Dirty Dancing the musical, then the second night we went to Soho where we had our own little private upstairs bar, cocktail-making lessons (and tasting!) then just drinks and dancing between ourselves. During the day we did a bit of touristy stuff, wandered round Covent Garden and generally had a lovely time. The weather was glorious too which was a bonus.
  16. Get your pyjama-clad backside of your chair, put the tv remote down and go and get your own!
  17. What a bloody night. Can someone get me a bacon sarnie with brown sauce please? Ta.

    Pet Hates!

The price of passports! £120 it has cost me for my renewal and the bairn's first one (which only lasts 5 years but isn't half the price )
  19. Not so great if there are any old people in the audience though
