  1. Sat drinking G&T on a roof terrace in a little village in southern Spain after an evening of tapas, wine and music. Bairn is sleeping, my dad is hilariously merry and all is well
  2. Not at all! My mam and dad get loads in their garden and they're in bloody Washington - they're everywhere! Good to see that your family take the piss as much as we do CT - that was class
  3. That sounds lush and at that price even more so. Enjoy
  4. I haven't seen him since last Thursday man, it would be really fucking harsh for him to come home today to be met with the news that mam is swanning off to Spain for a week without him Even my dad is coming with us - god forbid we should head off to the sunshine without the local sun-worshipping black man.
  5. Just watching the immediate aftermath of a bomb that has gone off in the middle of Bangkok in the last couple of hours. Grim
  6. I didn't say I was taking him with me, just that I hadn't told him about it
  7. Going to the south of Spain in the morning. Haven't told the bairn yet...
  8. No you bloody weren't. Wouldn't set foot in that pretentious shithole (We were in the Vineyard)
  9. Oh, and I did watch the entire last season of The Flash. Had to record it for the bairn each week.
  10. This, definitely. I do, however, have a huge knowledge of Marvel, Transformers, Spinjitzu and other random boy stuff than I've ever had before. Not sure I could tolerate the girly shite they churn out these days, so I feel quite lucky to have a boy.
  11. The Riverside and the Havelock were my underage drinking establishments locally, followed by 6th form parties at the Ritzy where we would go to Dobsons beforehand for trebles of some meths & diet coke for about a quid. Drinks of choice would be Taboo & lemonade, Malibu & coke, Pernod & black, cider & black, Castaway, Hooch and Diamond White. Not all in the same glass.
  12. The role of 'possibly providing little bit more light than the streetlights are already providing' As a self-confessed space/meteorology geek, who has been unable to see the meteor shower for the last 2 nights due to the CLOUD, I'm suitably admonished.
  13. At least I'm not making the same recommendations as him
  14. It's still absolutely pointless trying to view the brightest meteor shower with even the faintest covering of cloud.
  15. It's been a Minchella's at the beach kinda day. Lush
  16. It's the clouds that matter when trying to view a meteor shower man, not the moon!
  17. Thanks. Thought I'd be clever and headed for Rosetta Stone, without realising I'd have to fork out £149.99 for the privilege. Ferk that!
