  1. just a little thing here.... my little rag tag bunch of weary, mostly old, fellow renault travellers who were occupied with their painfully cramped conditions or mobile phones fell in to complete silence when howe's post match interview came on 5live. my ashley imposed exile included the benitez era so I can't really comment, but I'd be astonished if his post match interviews commanded as much attention as those since keegan or robson. he's articulate, eloquent, thorough and so very, very obviously knowledgeable about his job. love the bloke.
  2. we were by far and away the better team when we played man utd at our place back end of december when howe had only just got his feet under the table. think there's every chance we could finish above them as it stands but with a couple of upgrades on almiron and wood I'd think it was a certainty.
  3. fries my brain still that man utd wanted £8m to loan this then nearly out of contract twat for a few months last season. I mean, I don't really need many more excuses to hate the manc cunts more than i already did, however I hope ten hag is an unmitigated disaster. they're undoubtedly the club out of the sooperdooper 6 we should be targeting to overhaul first.
  4. think we'll beat brighton by a hole in one, two birdies and an eagle.
  5. just mild curiosity... obviously missed the disappeared wykiki match thread mystery the other day. what happened there then? wasn't he at the match yesterday? hope he enjoyed his day out!
  6. ps.... abundance of saudi 3rd kits on display. this made me smile, really hope there was one or two rtg's out shopping in their regional capital yesterday so word gets back to the sportswashing thread. exile needs his sunday morning apoplectic meltdown.
  7. 5 of us made the journey up yesterday, arrived in a sun drenched newcastle just gone 11. couple of beers outside the union rooms or liberty house as it is now, not really my kind of place to be honest, but hey, I wish them well. head off to rafferty's (forest supporters had made the bars across from the train station pretty much their own, but not a hint of any bother I could see) to pick up a brighton ticket and confirmation of a wolves one too and then off to the percy. really enjoyed the match, was never in any real doubt we'd make the breakthrough, joelinton (first half especially) willock and bruno all superb. on another day 4 or 5 could've been the outcome tip of the day.... 5 blokes in a renault captur is a bad fit over an 8/9 hour journey, never been so pleased to get out of a car so much in my life as I was last night. don't be tempted to do it!
  8. hat doffed to you @Polarboy, there cant be a kid anywhere in the world, no matter how many times he's even kicked a football, that you aren't aware of. is there nowt to do in donegal?
  9. they should've made a one for keegan before either of them two in fairness. no disrespect to robson, I loved his time at newcastle but his achievements pale in to insignificance in comparison to how keegan changed the fortunes of the club...... twice.
  10. you got ginger dread pubes then? that's uber cool.
  11. I like a bit of twat in the team, he'd be our new craig bellamy, which is ace as I'm sure @Craig will agree!
  12. I remember being on the mushrooms in the travellers rest in sunniside in the early 80s and the 'defender' machine had just come out. little fucking ufo things were flying about all over the pub, god only knows what the experience would've been like if the traveller's had been decorated owt like that!
  13. probably spin you out a little bit wandering in there on the mushrooms.
  14. there was some daft cunt on their weekly setting out the boundaries of where newcastle's support is allowed to come from claiming that native newcastle folk hate co. durham mags. weird really when about a third of the lads on monty's infamous away day 80s buses were nutters from the kings head in stanley and the bridge in chester-le-street. they really do invent utter shite and convince themselves it's fact.
  15. oy @wykikitoon got to be heading towards time for a forest match thread surely? i had something in mind but've been loathe to post it since starting the everton away one last season and being partly responsible for the horrible cunts stopping up.
  16. spent a bit of time in the campervan driving round asturias drinking shit loads of the local sidra. as far as I'm concerned this practically makes me a separatist.
  17. still gutted I didn't get to that game, blew both me budget and the goodwill from the wife a month earlier in antwerp. still, wasn't a bad one to go to!
  18. love the way you managed to drop in a classic from the stereo mc's there! but back to the matter in hand.... the fuckers are beyond tragic, the top man of the bilbao black cats mocking a connection between two sets of supporters 1,200 miles apart and yet the pitiful cunts think they're besties with norfolk because they shared a few london pubs with norwich supporters enroute to losing to them at wembley the best part of 40 years ago. they're desperation to be liked is embarrassing.
  19. which country are you supposed to be in then to watch the.live stream?
