  1. Played with him mate, and he is a total cock. Dislike him much. Wish was playing against him so could of kicked the fuck out of him. He's never played for a foreign team so I don't believe you. went to canada didnt he? Shit, aye. I knew he played for Vancouver anarl. It was meant to be a tongue-in-cheek reference to loonyToon's pidgin English tbh. I assumed that was the point you were making like but I thought it was a funny way of making it.
  2. 1.59 = one of my favourite goals ever.
  3. And Melbourne Knights according to wikipedia. For an impressive two games. Was never aware of that like. Learn summat every day.
  4. Dunno but I always thought it was after he'd had his spell trialling at Man U. Wasnt kept there and went out to Canada? Could be wrong like
  5. Vancouver Whitecaps. I don't imagine loonyTOON meant professionally anyway like (whether he's making it up or not)
  6. I tell you a geordie who I've heard universally is a fuckin absolute cunt in person. Bobby Charlton. Apparently he knows no other way. Don't even get me started on him and his fucking whip-over. And I don't even care if I'm wrong, I cannot stand the bastard. And his brother couldn't be more sound.
  7. just throwing that out there.
  8. There's an outside possibility that, as a public figure meeting countless hundreds of people on a weekly basis, he's probably likely to have been in a bad mood once or twice in the last 30 years and there might therefore be more than one opinion of him.
  9. Who's your ITK like Alex? His gran's cousin has been on the bush telegraph again.
  10. 2580 no such number from a landline Not going to happen then. A mobile service only I believe. You might be able to get it working through your PC. Have a look at www.shazam.com. Can't say for certain as the site is blocked for me at work. got it from mobile, and got the song too. Cheers What was the track then? We've all followed this from the beginning.
  11. Is this going to involve a scenario in which a 56 year old man sings the Beatles "Help" to some spotty teenager down a mobile?
  12. "Shall I tell you about his life. They say he's a man of the world."
  13. "This glass of white wine's got a bit of a head on it" *fizzing away like buggery*
  14. He didn't have a photographic dossier with him at the time. Just a couple of crude renderings.
  15. I guarentee if we were bottom at christmas knobs like you would have slagged Houghton and blamed Ashley for sticking with him. He`s made a decision so deal with it and stop fucking crying until you know what is happening and as for the 5-1 I loved it and the Villa game and the Arsenal and Chelsea games but it doesnt wipe out the utter shite either So you mean in an entirely different set of circumstances which just simply don't pertain here, the reaction would have been different? Are you off your fucking head here coming out with this stuff?
  16. Initially I thought this was a stunt to avoid spending money in January. But, if this was the case, he'd have done it in January. Our next games are Liverpool, Birmingham (away), Man-city and Tottenham, so if the post about forecasting results is true - the timing interesting. None of this suggests it was well planned, but I guess what I'm trying to say it we have to wait to see which manager is brought in and who arrives in January. They wanted it done and dusted in October though, until the 5-1 and Arsenal results made it impossible. Assuming, for argument's sake, that's true, what a fucking stupid time to bring a manager in that would've been. Lets not get too hysterical though. Hughton was the caretaker who did well and was given a years contract to allow some sort of stability while fighting promotion. Since the start of the season they havent obviously liked what they've seen so when would you have sacked him? I asked really nicely too.

Please pay attention to the above post and then don't contribute any more to this thread.
  18. What does that prove in relation to the current situation? Got us automatic promotion by all accounts. Perhaps Ashley's not planning on appointing a replacement at all and saving money with some sort of players co-operative.
  19. I get random texts every other week saying 'Alreet, I'm so and so's mate and he says you play in goal.' My Mrs says I should start charging for whoring myself out. Haha its cause your a rare breed, no-one else wants to stand still for a full match and have people constantly blasting the ball at their nads from 5 yards lol! I've got legs like a heroin addict mate. I once broke my finger a minute into a game and played the rest just thinking I'd bruised it (clean sheet as well). Took my glove off at the end and it was pointing the wrong way, still doesn't bend properly. Also played with concussion after being hit in the head at point blank range which in turn jerked my head back onto the post. You fucking play like you've got concussion anyway.
  20. You're a good lad and all that Parky, but that's pish. The performance at Arsenal was one of the most committed I've seen off a toon team ever. That's only 3/4 weeks ago. And the performance against WBA was shocking and that was 3 days ago and the one agaist Bolton was a week ago, things were slipping and thats a fact Read Alex's post above. I did then I read the shit you posted What that it was 3/4 weeks ago we produced one of the most committed showings I've ever seen you stupid cunt? Well we did. The reasons our form suffered are obvious. Eamonn to that.
  21. Parky and jaythesouthernmag guilty of goldfish memories here tbf. Nobody ever won owt with that sort of approach to buidling a football team.
  22. I used to play for a team at the rec when I was 16-21, called Youngs. There was four divisions on a Thursday night we were always in the first all our team were mid 30s (crack was brilliant), and the standard was the best I've ever played in. There was a ref called Trevor, is he still there (?). He got sacked but reinstated after he broke a players nose who happened to be a male model for calling him a tool he was a right twat though this Trevor. I used to play in that league, about 5 years ago. I played with some right tossers like. We went from the 4th to the 1st in successive seasons but then when we got to the 1st it was full of older guys who'd played together for years who just fucking owned the division. We got a couple of whippings and the tossers from my team didn't like the fact they were out of their depth and started getting mysterious long term injuries so we pulled out. Me and another lad from the team moved to another night with some lads we knew and that core team has stayed. Trevor is still there and even though he can be a right tosser he tends to be alreet in the main. Doesn't take any shite and books people whinging and persistant fouling, which is something a lot of refs won't do. I used to get booked once every 3 games off him for moaning and the rule then was if you got booked you missed the next game. There was a player called little Tony in that first division, he was the best i've ever seen at step overs, you knew exactly what he was going to do but he did you every time. Watch the ball, not his feet.
  23. Aye, in a nutshell. And whichever it turns out to be, it's entirely without prejudice to the views expressed about the manner of the Hughton dismissal. He's done nothing but benefit the club in spite of his employers ways and has been treat shabbily for his efforts (and over a long period it seems)
