What is the best thing about where you live?

Funny thing about that remark-sums up how different Yanks are to Brits about distances. A two hour drive is considered a hop to the neighbouring town cos the USA is so big, here tho two hours would get me from Manchester to past Birmingham and I think of that as a right mission. Even London on the train is 2 hours 5 mins and I think of that as the other end of the country. Not saying I wouldnt bother going to NYC if it was only two hours away (obviously) but funny how you have such a different perspective on scale. -

The mile long stretch of Curry Houses. Got the original curry mile in Rusholme. -
Needs Wacky to take him on some sort of midget boot camp tbh.

I would subscribe to that view to a degree, however the fact that you're just as likely to see other teams tearing us apart by running stright through the middle of our defence leads me to conclude that the CB's are still utterly fucking sub-standard. PS I know we don't have a Makelele type etc. either but then only one or two teams do have a player of that calibre in that position. The excuses have to end somewhere.

Unfortunately it looks like being Shearer. I love what he has done for us but he isn't a proven manager at all. I guess it will depend on who he brings in as his 2nd in command. Doesn't need the agro and imo would be mad to take the job next anyway. At the same time I could see it happening. Worst thing that could happen IMHO. Not necessarily the Shearer appointment per se (which I dont think would be brilliant), just the circumstances. Can virtually guarantee the circumstances of a Toon managerial change-over these days: Previous manager spends big, loses the dressing room, we're in relegation zone/hovering above, new manager appointed, does 'fantastic' job (achievement lauded by press but basically just boils down to getting an under performing team to string a few results together), initial impact wears off but Chairman persists, throws big money at him to spend in the close season (fans dancing in the streets at this point), signings dont really improve team, loses dressing room, go back down to relegation zone/hovering above.......bring new manager in and start again. I think it's basically been that way since the Keegan/Dalglish changeover. Dalglish actually got an excellent team which did just need tweeking to be taken to the next phase. I'm fucking desperate for us to appoint a manager in favourable circumstances but can't see it happening. By now the place is just jaded to fuck.

Couldn't have Campbell in the same team as Scotty Parker alleged FACT! Would be mesmerized by his buttocks-two hard boiled eggs in a handkerchief tbh.

Film/moving picture show you most recently watched

Almost went to see that at the cinema when it was out, out of sheer desperation more than anything else. It sounds GREAT. Seriously mate-if i'd had a gun, I probably wouldnt have shot myself, but I'd have at least pistol whipped myself to sleep. -

Flightplan. Awful. Just fucking awful. -
More drastic action required tbh. Attach crocodile clips to his bollocks and wire him up to a car battery. Given could then shock him at the first sign of trademark narcolepsy/becoming distracted by crisp packet floating across the pitch.

Aye, I saw that in the pub and thought it was a disgrace tbh. Bramble then goes and has one of his worst games in a while after I thought he might have finally turned the corner. Coincidence? I think the problem is simply that you can't teach concentration. Unfortunately. Should have terminated his contract tbh-persisting with him has merely meant that we've continued to put off addressing the major defensive problems. Couple of good games and we're giving him a chance again and convincing ourselves he's going to come good. Not gonna happen. Isn't good enough.

Less of the old young whipper snapper. Happy Birthday Alex. I guess if you've taken the day off we won't be hearing from you. Maybe you should get a computer for your birthday! Arrested for arson tbh. The seventy candles on his cake had two fire crews occupied all morning. Happy birthday you old slag!

Fair play to Chris Colemn with his aftermatch assessment. Good luck to Jimmy Bullard on his recovery. Pretty much the sign of things to come for the season scorewise tbh.

On mature reflection, Scott's shoes have got to be up there somewhere.

What'd happened like? Had fish sold him double glazing?

Saying that I recently got 40 pages into a book before realising I'd already read it and it wasn't that good the first time. 195328 I've done similar with films, never with a book though. 195339 Rob's done it with his diary, the senile old get!

How's that me tel't liyke? Just gans to the forums mainpage. Btw I'm not defending him, just curious to know how he's ended up banned for so long as I GENUINELY HAVE NO IDEA!. I do find him funny though in spells I admit.

CF certainly seems to polarise opinion on here. Some reckon he's a fanny while others seem to think he's a complete cock.

Books are for nerds tbh.
