Not sure where to put this and I think it is most apt under the politics. What are people's thoughts on the declining birthrate? I haven't really given it much thought until last night where I saw schools in North Tyneside and Northumberland are having to be shut, they are calling this mergers but they are just shutting schools. I thought about the fact that I am from a family that had three children and most of my friends, when I was at school, had at least 1 or 2 siblings. However, everyone who I am friends with or I have worked with have either had two children, 1 child or they are actively choosing not to have children. People genuinely feel that they cannot afford to have children. I wonder where this narrative came from and what lasting damage it will have for us.
