I think there is a massive disparity between playing 90 minutes at International level as there is to playing 90 minutes at Premier League Level. Styles of play are vastly different and demand different levels from the body.

Eddies play shit n win or play well n lose mags vs Cole Palmer

I think we are just in a transitional period right now and it is difficult to face. Problem is that we are in the transition at board level as well as the playing staff. I love Schar but he is ageing which is why Howe looked for the replacement in the summer. Burn was never bought to be a first team player- he wasn't even a first team player at Brighton. The midfield seems to be suffering from the weakness behind it which then impacts on the top as well. I think Howe is still getting more out of the players than we saw before the takeover. People may say that is not hard, but it is also hard to measure. I am interested to see what happens in January. I would be shocked to see Howe go. Things are not going well but likewise it can be seen how much difference there would be with two competent (due to age) cbs in the team. We are still at a point where most of Man City's or Chelsea's second team would start for us. The fourth place finish shows what happens when things swing your way and, to be honest, if a few things had went our way we would be further up the table now. -

How much time did that take to give? If it is that hard, it is a bloody goal. -
I just don't understand that fantasy. What is wrong with them imagining winning the lottery. Maybe Sunderland winning the Premier League, it is a fantasy, why not say the Champions league? Maybe bumping into you celebrity crush and marrying them. I don't know. I don't really spend much time with fantasies, but surely that is bizarre. I don't get why I would want to see a family from Sunderland tooting their horn at some sheep.

I guess a keeper wouldn't have the opportunity to produce the same level of performance as Gordon did yesterday. I also don't think a keeper does always get the blame in a situation like that. It is normally the defence that get the criticism for forcing them to have an amazing game and be in the position to make the errors. I am thinking of how me and many others viewed Dubravka.

I find Pickford an odd one as he doesn't seem to be as bad when he plays for England. I do wonder if it has something to do with the clubs he has played for and where he is from. Sunderland with the biggest chip on his shoulder then Everton who seem to somehow be worse. Maybe that is a step too far. When Henderson left Sunderland, he went to somewhere normal. Maybe that is why he doesn't come across the same way.

Gordon had a great game. I said that he should not be taking the pen when he stepped up. You could see that he was not taking the pressure well and the shot was really poor. It was clearly a poor shot rather than a good save. His header was bizarre at first glance but I thought the replay showed that he was in front of the ball. I think the 1 on 1 he took one touch too many but he is not a CF. I think he had a great game. With a striker we win this. I think Osula would have been better in this game than Wimbledon. I found myself frustrated with Howe for a decision he made, not playing Osula. However, each time I have found myself frustrated with Howe for not using x player e.g. Hall and they come in, they seem to not be ready. Then we see them develop into really solid players later on. This makes me feel Osula will more than likely be a solid player for us but he is not there yet and playing him would be detrimental in the medium to long term with no clear short term win.

Didn't Iran do this a few months back as well?

Anthony Gordon Handsome Winger Man

I think it was implied that I didn't know anything about football (unfortunately accurate 🤣) when I said that other people were also not playing well. -

Has he not just had a kid? If that is the case, could this not more be a factor? Didn't Bruno go off the boil for a while after he had his first kid? Wasn't someone on here fuming that he wasn't doing well but brining his kid on for laps of the pitch? -

I agree with him not giving his all but I don't agree that others are giving their all. -

I don't think he is doing well but I don't think Isak has done great this season so far either. I am not getting why Gordon has been singled out, on here, as much as he has as most of the team seem to be on the slump. Bruno poor, Joelinton poor. Only consistently decent performance seems to be Barnes.
