At least we can pronounce the name of the place we live. It is a shocking state of affairs when you are more likely to understand the word if an American is pronouncing it.

Merry Christmas everyone, I hope that you all have a great day and that your plans all go well.

To be fair, Man U post Ferguson is definitely up there.
-
Not even sure how to look into getting it. Happy for PM for anyone with advice.

Sad times. Being from Newcastle, I liked the sound of global warming as well.

From what I have look into, he has not said anything single thing against LGBT. -
I was worried that Man U might be able to be turned around, like Chelsea seems to have done. This shows an immense level of toxicity at the club. I will continue to enjoy.

I think it is double standards. I 100% agree that religion should not be shown in sport as it is not the place. I don't think players should be wearing a poppy or a rainbow either. I am all for both causes but both are political and shouldn't be forced on people. -

I don't think the message showed homosexuality. He still wore the arm band which he didn’t have to do. Maybe it was his way if saying the two are not mutually exclusive which they are not. I think this is the thing with forcing people to wear something. -

Can I ask what is so bad about what he did with the arm band? At least he wore it. I cannot stand the push of anything whether it be everyone having to wear the rainbow armband or everyone having to wear a poppy. I think it devalues the original message when people are expected/ in many respects forced to wear something rather than make a conscious effort to support a message. -

It some respects, it is good to reflect on Gordon and how he is playing. It is also good to compare him to people in the past and ASM is the natural choice as he was replaced. Gordon was an odd signing for me, I wasn't keen. He didn't seem to stand out as a great player for me. If anything, I thought he was a cheat who just like to dive. Like ASM, he seems to be really keen to engage with the fans. They both seem to be keen to share some of their wealth. I remember being impressed with a video of him supporting a food bank in Liverpool. It seemed like a genuine support rather than a PR stunt (he knew what to buy for a start). He seems like a human. If we are going to compare him on his performances to past players, as well, then he also stacks up well. There could be an argument that he has had his purple patch and this is his level. I doubt it. However, if it is his level, unlike Miggy, he still offers a lot in every game and clearly makes a positive difference in each match. -

What do you get out of this? I don't get it. If you are an NUFC fan, what joy do you get out of belittling players from a team you support? If you are not an NUFC fan, what joy does it bring you to pretend to be one? Either way, it just seems a bit desperate. -

That was the first thing that I thought of when I saw his name! -

Interesting how someone banging a pointless drum taints my memory of ASM. ASM seemed a decent bloke. I think he offered us a lot and I thought he would be the player who we would still be playing, not Joelinton (I think it is safe to say that I must be in the majority on that thought process). I liked LTA when they first started posting and I didn't mind an alternative view but it just feels like a piss take now. Not genuine. Noone could possibly be unable to see what Gordon offers us. Even Wiki's despise for Longstaff has its limits. I never understood the hype Lampard got. I still don't get it. I far preferred watching Joe Cole. The stats prove I am wrong. His career proves I am wrong. No point me saying Joe Cole was the better player. He clearly wasn't even if I still would have preferred him at NUFC ahead of Lampard. It feels like there is only fun in offering the complete alternative to stoke an argument or upset rather than to try and spark a debate or provide some insight. I don't get it. -

I have no recollection of Bernard being on the wing. I remember watching him in the intertoto cup when he first signed. -
Unfortunately, we are now at a point where what we got last night is as good as it is going to get for the standard of refereeing. Do I think it is acceptable? No. However, in the scheme of things, it has been the best we have seen in a while.
-
Even with these decisions, he did better than we have had for a while. As soon as I see the name Pawson, I know that there will be several clear decisions not given against us and at least 1 player who should have been sent off at least twice. I also think that, once again, VAR has done us over. I think he was going to blow for the pen (it looked like he was going to blow) then decided to let VAR make the call based on a clearer view which is not acceptable.
-
I don't think I could have coped with the extension on the Howe out thread.
-
The ref had a good game, regardless if Slott saw him at half time. Made similar decisions on our pen and their shout. Final whistle was dubious but overall a decent performance.
-
He is literally going through the Liverpool manager tick list. I wonder if it is part of their interview process?
-
I really liked Klopp. I was wrong.
-
Yes. Seems like a typical Liverpool manager.
-
This second half has made me ridiculously angry.

That final whistle was a piss take
