I agree. Would've given Cabaye a lift too. However I think the biggest mistake was making do with Simpson, I can't believe they can't see how poor he is.

I agree Billy. He also got caught out of position up the pitch and I don't recall one decent cross. He also rarely tackles just allows the player to run at goal. We'd massively improve as a team with a decent RB imo, I wouldn't even offer him a new contract tbh.

We give the ball away too easily; no point Cisse and Ba being on the pitch together; Jonas and Simpson cannot cross the ball to save their lives; Simpson is a liability going forward and back; Tiote is a shadow of the player he was 2 seasons ago. We're especially poor in midfield. No cohesion and their players have way too much space to run at goal. They're happy for us to play the ball out wide because we have zero threat there. Cisse on the right isn't working. Tiote and hba are giving the ball away too easily. And we're brittle at the back. Pardew needs to change either the system or the personnel IMO. If we're going to persist with 4-4-2 maybe take off cisse and put on a winger and push hba upfront
