  1. frankly i dont really care about england or international in general but hogdson would be a awful choice. england might not be a club but are a big footballing nation that are always ranked in the top ten so the expectations are just as high as it was at liverpool. there are much better manager out there that woud love to manage england so why go for second best Plus he looks like an old turkey necked transvestite. We need someone who looks good in a blazer ffs
  2. Not true. He had his hands above his head, obviously in the classic fighting crane style popularised by Karate Kid. They had no option to take him out before he committed Jihad on their asses with his deadly hands of death. Or something.
  3. I don't really care. Probably someone clinically insane.
  4. He must be a nightmare to do business with. He seems to lack class as a human being from what I can tell. He probably won't relinquish his sweaty trotters on the club unless he pulls a fast one on someoone, so he and Dekka can slap each others backs and high five all night long.
  5. If he doesn't invest in new players who can improve the team, we won't be challenging top 10, we'll be in a relegation fight. It's well known that promoted teams find it much tougher to get results second season up, when other teams have worked them out. I think we need new talent to give us that momentum. Of this season's players, only Ben Arfa is going to provide something different and he is returning from a serious injury. Gosling is an Everton reserve so needs to develop and who knows whether we'll sign Ireland. Our attack is severely toothless and needs major investment. Investment means spending on new players, in particular a mean eyed bastard 20 goals a season spearhead to replace Carroll. Not rummaging in the bargain bin at Lidl for the Shefki bloody Kuqis of this world, not getting a kid with promise to lead the line, but signing the finished article. Preferably with an understudy as well. That's going to cost some serious wonga imo. And that's before you look at other positions that need more depth like left back, right back, centre back and a right winger. Investment doesn't mean money to fund existing wages and running costs. That isn't the meaning of investment imo. It's about securing the future of the club, and I'm shitting myself about this lot dropping the ball this summer. imo we need to spend ALL of the 35 mill on new players PLUS whatever was originally budgeted. And Pardew needs to stay away from mediocre players like Cartlon Cole. Then we might stand a chance of top 10. Otherwise a season of struggle beckons with results similar to recent results but all season. imo. We're fucked then. No player of the calibre we need in the positions you mention, particularly a 20 goal/season striker, will come to us for these reasons; 1: Comparatively shit wages. Why come here when you can get more elsewhere. 2: "Medals" potential. Look at our recent cup and league history. If they want to win medals, they won't be coming here. 3: European Football. We are way off securing regular European football status. 4: Staff. Dekka, Pardew, need I say more? Play for a puppet manager, who's strings are pulled by a pair of know nowt goons? Nah 5: Diminishing Talent. By that i mean that any player in the team who shows potential will soon be sold ,and replaced with Lidl versions. Why the fuck would any decent player join a club like us? Cheers Mike- 5 year plan on course. Nail on head, Mr Fist. I guess we're heavily reliant on Graham Carr to unearth the next Solskjaer unless the next Shearer is lurking in the reserves. Unless Fat Mike squeezes his corpulent sausage fingers into his too tight trouser pockets and pulls out a wad of readies to tempt a Huntelaar or similar to SJP. Still you never know. I'm not reaching for the Prozac as it's up for grabs in the summer but I'm a little sceptical about opur prospects. Maybe the best we can hope for is an early sale in the summer to a spendthrift minted Indian, so we can become footballing GODS and catch that rocket to the stars baaaaaybeee.

  7. I'm sorry mate but you know nothing. Leazes is the fifth best poster on here. In the last 4 years good posters like Leazes have gone and been replaced by inferior posters. This board has been dropping down the posting list for years now, who is to blame for this? Who is repsonsible for the loss of profile and the decline in interest? The lack of ambition of the current posters is there for all to see, in fact I pointed this out 4 years ago and the likes of you refused to admit that I was right and you were wrong.
  8. Can I just say, if we do have new owners, they can never be as wonderful as the previous owners
  9. To be honest I think an analysis of his record is a little unfair given his teams have played half the season with no strikers.
  10. This is the crux of the matter. One man's fun is obviously another's embarrassment. For my money, once we're inside a football ground a lot of our rational behaviour stays outside. Berating the ref/other players like we're in a pantomime; Clapping like seals; Jumping around like idiots when a goal is scored; "He's a dwarf..."; ".....he wanks his dog, y'know"; "He's got a bomb....."; The cry of the banshee in the scoreboard; That bloke who sat in the new stand who wore the clown's hat; Butcher's coats; Skinheeds wearing dresses; "Shoes off if you love the toon"; "Pogo if you love the toon" etc etc etc etc etc. I wasn't at Anfield but if I had been I'm sure I would have joined in having a go at Carroll - just for the hell (fun) of it
  11. I don't think it's beyond the bounds of possibility that he had become a marginal figure in Al-Q and was simply tossed to the USA by the Pakistani govt for political reasons. To avoid the prolonged nuisance of a show trial, further martyrdom and accusations of human rights abuses and deciding that as a peripheral figurehead he had nothing useful to tell them anymore, maybe they just wanted to execute him in revenge for 9/11and claim it as a victory over Al-Q. Or maybe Pakistan demanded that he be killed in situ as a condition of agreeing to the operation. Then having ensured it's him they dump his body at sea to ensure there is no martyred body for prolonged mourning and as a shrine for future jihadists. This seems more plausible to me than the conspiracy theory alternatives at the minute.
  12. To be honest I think ex-players are always going to be booed by the fans (especially the away support) unless they were special players for us like Sir Les. It's all part of the matchday fun, I thought it was quite funny
  13. "I'm not a racist, one of my favourite players is black" 'Chieoke Tiotoe'
  14. You've not convinced me there I'm afraid He's performing complex psychometric assessments of fans happiness through hours of dedicated listening to TalkSport. The nature of the experiment has turned his brain to mush.
  15. You've not convinced me there I'm afraid
  16. How the fuck do you know how Birmingham fans feel? Or City fans for that matter? Do you live in Birmingham? Do you got to their matches? Or do you know a representative sample of supporters? I'm sorry to be rude but it sounds to me like you're massively generalising out of your arse
  17. You should go to an air show, I hear they're very good
  18. Good. It's 10 years overdue. I expect he'd have been caught years ago if he wasn't protected by Pakistani officials. I wonder what happened.....perhaps one of his flunkies forgot to hand over the protection money on time.....
  19. I tell you an even more depressing stat, we've scored 4 goals in 10 away games under "Pards" what a massive difference he's made eh? 4FS. I'd be a bit harsher on him if we had a decent cutting edge up top. Lovenkrands and Ameobi must be the worst strikeforce in the premiership. Expecting them to create chances is like asking someone to walk to the North Pole in flip flops.
  20. I assume the similarity is 1. Both have a mohawk 2. Both are members of teams with lightweight characters that don't threaten anybody
  21. His birth certificate says 28 but his real age will be 35+
  22. We don't deserve to be behind. That said there was no threat at all on goal. Guti's played well but there's been nobody to aim for.
  23. We might as well have no-one upfront at the minute. Has Lovenkrands even touched the ball?
  24. Looks like the shit shola turned up today
