  1. I assume from that that you think it's a big achievement? I think what I always thought, that it was possible. I've just enjoying all the revisionism that's going on is all. I'm assuming you're referring to the fact that people expected us to get beat, and then aren't all that impressed when we manage a draw? In which case you would do well to consider the context that the statement was made in - i.e. We're getting outplayed and beaten by the teams we need to/should be beating, and in that context achieving a result against Chelsea is no big deal. Now who sounds like Albert Logic? *Ahem* "Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz" is the "appropriate" response I think? Aye fancy wanting someone to take a comment in the context it was written. I'm a veritable Dr. Spock.
  2. I still like him as a player, but think that it would be the best for both - player and club. He is too much a hate figure for a lot of fans to ever win them over. And for the club he is a luxury they cannot afford. And he hasn't given a fair return for his horrendous wages in the last couple of years. And at the age of 28 he isn't a prospect anymore, so to get at least a transfer fee in return wouldn't be too bad - if only he could get decently replaced, something I am not too optimistic about. But watch him go to a club like Spurs and become a cracking player for a couple years... Sorry, that bit about him being a hate figure is nonsense imo. In actual fact, he is one of the most over-rated players in the history of football imo, but if people did "hate" him, so what? I that contributing to his poor overall play and chronic lack of goals? Says the ultimate Dyer hater. I wouldn't say I hate him, I just don't like what he represents as a person and don't rate him that highly as a player. He had a decent deason about 5 years ago, that's about it. You were advocating the death penalty when he pissed in the street iirc.

There's a thing called Camtasia which I think has a free trial period. Worth a look.

  5. I think any other club would get £5m for him. With our track record in the "Players out" column, I expect us to sell him on for next to nowt with the "Wages are an issue" excuse being used to explain the low transfer fee. When in actual fact, we shouldn't be bearing any of the cost for the fact that Dyer doesn't want to take a pay cut, and the buying club want to revalue the fee downwards on account of his high wage demands.
  6. It's just in the rumours bit on True Faith - I saw it posted on NO. Apparently Spurs are interested. Don't know what to think about it - if it's true, I think he's taking the piss after basically giving us almost a season at full fitness. But at the same time, he's been here a canny few years and we've got gradually shitter, so if he thinks he can move on somewhere better then that's fair enough (Spurs is somewhere better imo). Getting £80k per week off the wage bill won't hurt either.
  7. He was a wee bit before Islam, so unless he was also a time traveler that would have been difficult. His only real connection to Islam is the cunning way they integrated most everything that came before, whilst either slightly or completely marginalizing it (as do many religions but Islam is a masterclass). Although he (the historical version) doesn't have much to do with England either, but then neither do many patron saints (Do you think St. Andrew was Scottish? Although St David was "welsh"). zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz Seriously Fop, do you not see how much of an Albert Logic you are?

They're everywhere. It's like an infestation of human vermin. Speaking of charvas, I was in Tesco yesterday when this woman popped her head round the corner from one of the aisles and shouted for her little daughter who was in the next aisle along. Her name? "ARMAAAANIIIIIIII! GET HEYYAH NOW!" Armani ffs. Stopped me dead in my fucking tracks.
  14. They had the stats on the radio this morning, and Man United have had 4 penalties given against them this season, 3 at OT. Chelsea have only had 2 given against them. Man United have been given 4 penalties to Chelsea's 3. The O'Shea one on Saturday was defo a penalty though so I can see why he's crying a bit, but they should have wiped the floor with us yesterday and didn't look all that interested - you would never have thought that they needed to win to stay in the title race!?
  15. If Ameobi had scored the same amount of goals people would rightfully still point at the shortcomings of his game... Exactly. Fucking hell, it's not even like it's unfair criticism. The people who want his critics to be quiet all basically concede that his touch and movement are poor. It's like "Yeah his touch and movement are pretty bad a lot of the time, but do we really need to talk about it? Can we not just keep talking about how shit Bramble is, or about Parker's pirouettes? Let's focus on criticising others and leave Martins alone."

I just don't see what purpose they serve other than to act as a public nuisance. The whole IM LISTENIN TO TEH RAVE ON ME FONE!!111 shit does my head in as well. In the shop next to my house the other day this twat walks in with his too-small-for-his-head cap on and his phone blaring out what seemed to be the Alvin and the Chipmunks theme tune. Me and the shopkeeper were both staring at him with a sort of "Are you gonna answer that, dickhead?" look on our faces. It soon became apparent that he was just playing songs through it and apparently thought we'd all like to hear how shit his musical tastes were. Just. Die. Please.
  17. We should have the day off tbh. Not cos I'm patriotic or anything, just cos I like days off. We didn't even get an extra one when the queen mother pegged it, did we?

They are absolute scum and they're growing fast. Nowt you can do about it, but I would back a mass exportation to some bitterly cold island somewhere for them to break rocks all day. Or national service. Or Siberia.
  19. Difference is though that those 7 or 8 players get roundly slated by everyone, whereas Martins either escapes criticism or is jizzed about by people who have his picture in their signature and genuinely think he's one of the best players in the world (see the thread where the majority voted that they wouldn't swap him for Rooney ). Someone (with a brain) needs to act as a counterbalance to that, and that someone is me. Now pop another tampax in and shut it, you beardy kebab muncher!
  20. Fucking hell, I have a go at the lad for his poor movement and touch. When it improves, I'll stop. We're an awfully sensitive bunch, aren't we? On this occasion I was responding sarcastically to a player who aside from a few good games, hasn't been all that great, and has looked downright woeful at times, saying "the best is yet to come". I didn't realise you and 2J were menstruating or else I'd have kept my mouth shut. Just saying you seem to have a go a LOT. Sometimes seems like Martins is to you what Kieron Dyer to Northern Monkey Worse than Simon Cowell tbh. His touch and movement seem to be shit a LOT.

  22. You used the c-words, Catherine. Asterisks or not, that's a c-word. I know a c-word when I see one, and that's a c-word.
