  1. Aye I've got a course for this thing. I find the same as you, you're much better off something structured than trying to dot around on YouTube. There's a lad on YouTube whose channel is called Seed To Stage. He has a bunch of courses on his website which aren't cheap but I find him to be really good at explaining stuff. Actually, sonic academy is really good too. They've got specific Ableton courses but they've also got loads of "build a track from scratch" stuff in different styles. There's a bloke called P-LASK that does all of his courses on Ableton and covers mainly house music, and he's a really good teacher. Allows you to learn as you're actually making something, which always makes things less dry than just "and this is an instrument rack. This is an effects rack". Your best bet on there is to just do the £10 a month sub and then you've got access to all of their courses. Blufmunkey is another really good teacher on there, who focuses on Ableton. When you've finished with all that, Mr. Bill's Abletoneer thing is good. He's like an Ableton savant though and can move quite quickly, but he's unreal. But I wouldn't try and learn the basics from him.
  2. Been on it this morning for a bit. Just settling down to it again. I'm telling you, it's hours of fun.
  3. There's worse than that on the list for this antibiotic. Mental health problems, including suicidal thoughts for one - it specifically says you will not realise this is happening, so it's essential you inform friends and family you're on these tablets, so they can spot the behavioural changes. Also tendinopathy. It also helpfully says that some of this may be permanently disabling and may not even come on until months after you've stopped taking them. I mean fucking hell. When I told the doc what was happening to me, he tried to convince me to just stick with them, until I pointed out that this side effect was one of the ones in the bold boxed off section on the guidance, which specifically said stop taking them immediately and contact the doctor. He then goes "well hopefully the thing with your hands and feet clears up then". Aye hopefully.
  4. Came off the last antibiotics cos they gave me pain in my hands and feet - as if I'd been out having a bare hands snowball fight for an hour, that sort of hot, itchy palms feeling but in the soles of my feet too. Lovely. So I'm now on a different kind. Not as strong and, on the doc's advice I left it a couple of days to see if symptoms returned. So I'm not exactly back to square one, but definitely no longer feel fixed.
  5. I think it trivialises alcoholism when you lump in people who just don't know their limit on a night out. Or who like a binge both nights on a weekend. Anyway we're not gonna agree, and it's not really the point.
  6. Going over the top when you have a drink is not the same as being an alcoholic. If you're not addicted, you're not an alcoholic. An alcoholic spends a week in a hospital bed being pulled back from the brink and goes home via the off licence. We're not talking about someone who doesn't trust themselves not to go daft on a night out.
  7. I think the unfortunate, uncomfortable truth is that genuine alcoholics can't just have the odd one or two and be in control of it. And if you set out to try and do that, then the inevitable outcome will sooner or later be another three or four day bender that started with the intention of just having one or two and being in control of it. Complete abstinence has to be the goal. Even that comes with no guarantees, but it's at least an acceptance of the reality of the situation. Apologies if I sound like a pontificating cunt, but there you go.
  8. Alan Brazil's up in arms, but I suspect that's cos it's interfering with his beer money.
  9. If you're talking about Ferguson, he's already been sacked. His ambassadorial role comes to an end at the end of this season. Another of Big Jim's cost cutting initiatives.
  10. There's a charity called the Association of Former Manchester United Players that looks after players from previous eras who don't have the sort of money the modern players get. They haven't received their last two quarterly payments from the club (it usually pays 4 x £10k per year), and when they've got in touch they've been told the club is ending its association with the charity. They reckon they might fold now. Ratcliffe is an absolute scumbag. I bet this isn't the only community related thing he's pulling funding for. They deserve fuck all success under this bloke.
  11. They haven't got a load of PSR headroom, I don't think. The Man United journos at the Athletic were talking about them being quite tight up against it now after putting all their eggs in the Dutch Genius's basket. They've got saleable assets though. If they got rid of Rashford for decent money, that would be all profit.
  12. Possibly. But we wouldn't have seen it this season. Howe trusts Murphy and the kid is raw as fuck so would be unlikely to have seen much game time at all. £30m for a lad that was a totally unknown quantity in the PL was good business for us.
  13. We got £30m based on potential alone too. If Brighton tried to flog him at the end of this season, I'm not sure they could get £30m for him.
  14. Promising youngster that may or may not make it at the top level at all, never mind at the level we want to be at. It'll be a shame if he ends up that good, but it's overwhelmingly likely that he won't.
  15. Posts in the key of wykiki: The media darlings are being held 0-0 at home to Brentford. That's Lineker's weekend fucked.
  16. Aye don't have another one today, and I think it was Meenzer suggested a group last time. Look them up. This will be much easier with other people that understand what you're going through.
  17. Watched this poor cunts video when we battered them last season, so the algorithm has served up a repeat. He seems a canny kid tbf, pretty balanced about them and us, not like the knobs on that forum. I wouldn't be watching if we hadn't clouted them again though.
  18. The way people went on about him 6 month ago, you would have been mistaken for thinking he was the next Jack Clarke. He's decent for his age, and is currently horribly exposed playing at a club with that profile and in that much bother. There's another 10 PL clubs he'd have a better chance of building a career at, which is a pretty sad indictment of the current state of that lot. I just think on NYE everybody should raise a glass to Jim Ratcliffe, Dave Brailsford, and the sadly departed Eric Ten Hag for the entertainment they've provided in the last 12 months, and the entertainment they're sure to continue providing in 2025.
  19. Apparently Emery was ranting on in the tunnel and Tindall, fucking knowing how annoying it would be, just kept shushing him. That's what kicked it all off cos a load of their players reacted. Lovely stuff. That's according to Hope's YouTube patter.
  20. Yeah but only one of us thinks it's their job to audit and log every post on here, so YOU get to FUCK OFF.
