I haven't watched the video cos I was still in a huff this morning, but I think he's largely right in what he said there. Gordon in particular needs to up his game and start giving Woltemade some options beyond him and heading towards goal. Too much of the time he's static.

No I'm talking about the XBOX 360 game Dragon Age II which is on Game Pass. I haven't done any of the DLC. I was able to do the thing where you load your old saved game from DA Origins into DAII though, which means all my choices in the first game are factored into what's happening, which is canny. Graphically and on the combat, 2 is a massive step up on 1. As is the map, so you've got a much better idea of what quest is in which location. Also all the codex stuff loads directly on screen so you don't have to go digging through your journal to find the document you just picked up. Not sure yet if the actual game will be any good, but it's started out OK. And we're still in the era of gaming where all the lasses have got enormous tits and cleavage. Even your own mam in this latest one.

When Potter got sacked on Saturday, Sky's Soccer Saturday was on live so obviously they took the opportunity to hear the thoughts of the football sage Paul Merson. The slack prick spent the entire segment referring to Nuno as "Nunez" and NOBODY put him right. There's a 12 minute YouTube video showing the segment and the silly twat hears other people calling him Nuno and STILL sticks with Nunez. Just get that idiot off the telly. He's an embarrassment.

Re the lack of a review for Gabriel. What is the rule there that prevented them looking at it? I understand Woltemade's comments after the game saying he could have gone down, but that's not how he likes to play, but it makes you think maybe you should just go down, etc. But there shouldn't be any difference between him going down and not. As soon as it was brought to the ref's attention, why can/does he not radio the twats in the van and get them to tell him what happened? Is that not allowed or is he just not competent enough to think of it in the moment. Cos if it's not allowed, then incidents off the ball that the ref doesn't see are basically unpoliced, and that can't be right.

I think we could have got the same money for him earlier in the window like, and I'm not even really arguing Wilson's thing that forcefully. Just looking at the situation we find ourselves in and wondering whether things could have gone differently. I think Wissa has killed us more than Isak though really. It's probably accelerated Woltemade's integration though. We could really do with telling all the international players to fuck their duties off for the next two weeks, and just get on the training ground.

Totally agree. He's an absolute disaster with the ball at his feet. There was a moment yesterday where he was played the ball and there was a fairly straightforward ball up the line, and a square ball to (I think) Botman. Relatively little pressure on Pope, and he executed his trademark slice out for a throw in. We gain more than we lose by swapping him out imo. Ramsdale is a good shot stopper too and his comfort on the ball is Messi-like in comparison to Pope.

I think we've probably arrived at the moment where our first choice CB pairing is staring us in the face. As much as I love Schar and Burn.

I read an article by that mackem wanker Jonathan Wilson yesterday. A lot of it was his usual boring shit, fed through his mackem filter, but one thing he said which perhaps was right was that we should have just let Isak go earlier in the summer. He fucked us with his behaviour, but we've exacerbated the damage by allowing it to shape our whole summer and damage our start to the season. I wonder if there might be some truth in that. Mind, what has hurt us the most is Wissa's injury and that was no one's fault at the club.
