  1. I have to say this cos it gets on my tits....Rangers and Celtic hardly EVER get mentioned on here, why? Because NO ONE cares. You are two clubs built on bigotry, who had never averaged over 40,000 in one season before the 90s. Newcastle have an infinitely more loyal larger LOCAL fanbase than both, and me personally I look down my nose at them. They're IRRELEVANT. I have more interest in Boro and Leeds than talking about them. As for the pro-Celtic bias, it's a given that both sets of fans are complete wanks, there are some gooduns from both sides, but bigotry is something that will never leave the west of Scotland, because it's so much a part of the culture, it's more intwined in the Scottish ethos than getting critical drunk even. There is no Celtic bias, because not one person cares, both are looked down at by the majority of people on here, and so they should be. All I once said about Celtic was they have marginally less wanks than Rangers, in my experience. You can't have it both ways. You are a catholic and you favour the 'tic over the 'gers. That's just the way it is.
  2. That's only because they didn't think of it. Don't try to make the IRA scum to be better than this. They are all the same. naa - they didn't shoot school kids deliberately - killed a lot of kids in collateral damage but never went out deliberately to target them Mind you this guy is right wing, claims to be a christian and doesn't like Muslims - reminds me of someone < < ................ Oh, that's OK then, you stupid cunt. Fuck off.

  4. I wonder if we'll see Ben arfa before bonfire night?
  5. Nowt like seeing the spin doctors in action getting the excuses in place before we even know if he's going to be out again. Are Michael Owen and Ben Arfa two peas in a pod?
  6. I thought adriano was at Barcelona so I missed that. The rest of them are a bit of a Dad's army though going back for a final pay day. One thing paying wages, another thing paying a mega transfer fee plus wages.. Bit like us.
  7. I was going to pay on the day till I found a perch I liked, (not James, obviously), but am tempted to not put a bean in the club whilst the arrogant bastards are here. I hate the Alright Jack attitude that stinks this age we're living in right now. Solidarity? Don't make me fucking laugh. Aye, it totally pervades society like and it's a proper bugbear of mine. Its the reason I wrapped in my union membership years ago. If you weren't in a union capable of bringing the country to a standstill, my "brothers" didn't give a rat's arse.
  8. I would have been more surprised if the deal went through. Let's face it, in economic terms, they are a mickey mouse club trying to play with the big boys. I suppose any publicity is good publicity.
  9. Smiling didn't make Viana any better than Luque.
  10. You have to wonder if anybody at Newcastle has actually seen any of the foreigners we've signed over the years play. If they had, I doubt if we'd have signed one in five. Thank God we've now got the best scout in the world working for us. At least, so somebody on here thinks.
  11. Substitute Boumsong for Guivarch. Or Marcelhino. Or Bassedas. Or Viana. Or Andersson. Or Pistone. Tell me when to stop. While I agree we've had home born players who have turned out to be shite, most of the foreign ones at Newcastle have done so spectacularly. Solano, Robert, Ginola etc tbh Obviously we're gonna have more foreign flops than english mostly because weve had alot more foreigners in recent times than homegrown players I think your etc,etc is a bit thin after those three. Even Hamann, although not a failure, kicked us in the teeth and basically told us to fuck off. Asprilla next? Don't forget the Robledo brothers.

  13. Coincidence. He probably couldn't get a visa either.
  14. Scrap that, target the population (not all, but those who are guilty of it). Because from what I have seen and heard, the Scottish hate us English so much, yet I have no clue where it comes from because in general it isn't reciprocated. Are you fucking serious?
  15. In fact, if enrique is intent on running down his contract I'd rather flog him now. Shop him around and see if there are any takers because he'll just be a distraction until January. If he doesn't want to play for us then fuck him.
  16. I'd rather have Leighton Baines that Enrique.
  17. With reports that pardoo has to sell before he can, hence the loan deal for sturridge, its obvious the money has disappeared dahn to the smoke. Even the staunchest fan of the FCB has to see that.
  18. Presumably you'd say the same thing about Bobby Robson after signing Carl Cort? Don't get me started on his midfield players.
  19. Weren't you saying in another thread that you weren't bothered what Ben Arfa had done in France, it was what he did for NUFC that mattered? Tomasson was shite for us. I accept there were mitigating factors btw but he was still an abject failure in his time here. I agree that he wasn't up to much here but as you say, there were mitigating circumstances. JDT was 21 when we sold him and got our money back. But playing a 20 year old up front on his own out of position and expecting more? Difficult to say with hindsight that it wasn't a mistake to sell him. I certainly don't think that it can be held against Dalglish that he went out and bought him in the first place. As I said, if not for the injury to Shearer things may have been a lot different.
  20. I find it hard to believe that you'd include JDT as a bad buy. Look what he did after he left us as he was just a kid. And Dabizas put in a few good shifts for us. Plus we got our money back on Guivarch. All in all, he bought some shite but his overall buying was as good as any managers we've had apart from KK perhaps. Also remember that it was the boards decision to sell Ferdinand as 6 mill was good business for him. He never did play as well for Spurs as he did for us.
  21. Although Dalglish bought a lot of players most of them were for peanuts. He also bought some very good players for for next to nothing so overall his buying wasn't bad when you look at it. The injury to Shearer did us in more than anything.
  22. Read the post above mine shit-for-brains and, even though english is not your first language, you might grasp that my post has nothing to do with the newspaper article.
  23. That's what happens when you aren't a big club and are only around to make up the numbers. Even the mackems have more ambition than us these days.
