  1. We might not be a laughing stock but we are also probably not even an afterthought. Neither nowt nor summat. Thats Newcastle now.
  2. At least they had the balls to go in and do the job. I can think of a lot of countries that don't.
  3. Lets hope some other club has more money and less sense than us and takes this useless twat.
  4. I agree that it smacks of a lack of ambition, but if I have to, I'd rather watch a younger player who wants to win than a never-has-been-or-ever-will-be who is here for the money. For example, Connor Whickham or Carlton Cole?
  5. This is almost the same story as Dean Ashton when we were linked with him before he went to Norwich. A good player who was clearly going to get better but we didn't have the vision to see it. I wonder if the FCB will buy him just because of his resale value?
  6. If everyone's fit he's definitely one of the weak links but I think that's a bit harsh. I think Danny Simpson has shown his defensive frailties and attacking limitations, especially in the 2nd half of the season actually and he benefits from playing in a much less crucial position. I suppose where Williamson plays makes any weaknesses a bigger issue though. I think you could argue whoever we have starting upfront is at least as bad too, and that's just as important a position (unless you counted Nolan or, ideally, Ben Arfa playing as a no. 10 / in the hole). Either way you'd still have Shola or Best as the CF. I'd say that ameobi and lovenkrands are as bad as any duo I've seen in my time and both are shite individually as well. So I don't think you'd have much trouble winning that argument.
  7. Wikileaks. Never around when you need them.
  8. As I said before, IMO he's neither. But as he's not a Newcastle player I don't wish him any luck or success.
  9. FYP No, I actually meant a pike. Even though they were normally reserved for heads. Anyway, thank Christ the cunt is dead.
  10. Should've just stuck a pike up his arse and put him on display until the smell got too bad. Some of the old ways are still the best ways.
  11. He's trying to blend in with the clique on here in the hope that they'll all support him and think, aye that qweryto knows what he's talking about. Pathetic really.
  12. Difficult to believe that anybody who appreciates music can look beyond both the quality and quantity of music in the sixties. Along with the first half of the 70s or so, the music in this era has never been matched.
  13. Reports are saying that the situations are different in that QPR knowingly broke the rules.
  14. Only took you a couple of hours to think of that. Impressive. For the likes of you.
  15. You are really just proving my point.
  16. People don't like the truth. Its easier to stick your head in the sand and pretend it doesn't happen.
  17. As we are clearly a farm club for the big lads, this is going to be the norm until we get an owner that actually wants to win. Not much point in anybody getting their knickers in a twist. Nobody at the club is.
  18. Agreed, neither. But why would anybody wish a Liverpool player good luck? I hope the same for him as I do for anybody who is not a Newcastle player. Not a lot at all.
  19. If you can fake walking on the moon, a birth certificate isn't much of a challenge. Beats me why he just didn't produce it in the first place and avoided all of this. Surely can't take that long for the ink to dry.
  20. Most of the liverpool deadweight is underperforming foreign players plus koncheskey and joe cole that couldn't cut it. Given that liverpool were shit for most of this season and they still couldn't grab the opportunity, I fail to see why we would even look at any of them.
  21. A couple of results one way or another and that bit to spare may not be that much. No cup runs. A handful of games that were enjoyable but not many more. Loss of Carroll. People pinning their hopes on ameobi, FFS. A successful season for a club like Blackpool but just an OK season to me if that, nothing more for a club this size.
  22. I fail to see how we've done better than OK.
  23. Makes you wonder if there is more to some of these penalty misses than meets the eye.
  24. Fuck off man. Eloquent. What exactly do you disagree with? The latter about Ben Arfa. As eith Tom or Craig posted....the boy has a pretty glittered career so far. Medals and alot of CL experience. Of course he is worth 5 mil. Easy. And just some players you can see and immediatley know they are a bit special. As we all know, there's been a load of highly touted foreign players with good track records come to the premier league and not been able to cope with it. Ben Arfa was unlucky but he still has to show that he can cut it, especially after this injury. You are just hoping like everybody else.
