  1. Parky has been intentionally infected with some strange fever because of what he knows. Perhaps he was getting too close to the truth. Either way he hasn't posted in that thread since the 29th so I suspect he is dead by now.
  2. I wouldn't let that hold us back. Sturridge has shown he can do the business. Three of your five haven't and thats being generous to Ba who could still be a flash in the pan.
  3. If it was Daniel Sturridge would you be reasonably happy?
  4. Better managers than pardoo haven't found these qualities. No reason to think he will because they aren't there at the top level.
  5. If Sturridge goes for 10 mill or under he's a bargain and I think everybody except the FCB would say that. If we signed Sturridge and nobody else, assuming Enrique stayed, I'd be fairly happy.
  6. Rapey has said recently that Marveaux can play either wing. Jonas is right footed-so could play there. I've seen Ben Arfa playing there too, but I think he's Rapey sees him as a support striker/in the hole. I'm more concerned about what Craig has pointed out. Naw i agree with you two, what i mean is if we're actually limited (which we all know we are) why bring in another left sided player when we have at least 3 who are able to play there if we need them to, another left sided player is the least of our worries. No decent strikers and we're fucked. This is it for me. I'm a bit worried we could end up all fur knickers and no coat. We might look good on the eye, play the ball about a bit but be weak as piss in front of goal. I'd question anyone expecting Demba Ba to be an almost ever present next season which makes you wonder how he'll do for scoring goals and we all know the limitations of our other forwards. Shola will always get you a few but goals win games and I'm worried about for next year. People can gloss over the Carroll and Nolan sales as much as they like but they were our two top scorers and we need someone to match or better their totals. Not scoring a lot puts pressure on the team especially when we concede. Get a goalscorer and I'd be a lot happier about the side. It's not often you see a common phrase mangled quite as badly. Why we aren't hammering down Daniel Sturridge's door is beyond belief. Plain as the eye in your face.
  7. The mackems have just signed Dongwon to go with Wickham. Might be a good deal for them as well. Young legs, bit of pace....much like ameobi and lovenkrands who are figuring in pardoo's plans for us. FFS.
  8. Or just another example of lowering standards in society. I'm just waiting for nigger to come back into fashion so people on here can get their knickers in a twist.
  9. Clearly you pay over the odds for Wickham's potential. You can't argue that it shows ambition. On the other hand, when our free transfers and cheap players don't pan out, we can say we didn't waste much money and are fiscally responsible.
  10. Preston Hospital in North Shields. Houses now.
  11. I'm surprised that a doctor has time to post endless cobblers, as you say. They are always whinging on about being worked to death.
  12. I don't know. If you want to shoot yourself, feel free. It would make an interesting thread.
  13. If avoiding the reality of the situation at all costs is your impression of a positive light then no, I'm not in that group. I happen to agree with LM's opinion. It doesn't make either of us stupid, just more willing to call it as we see it rather than buy into the delusion that many on this board seem to be under.
  14. Why don't you read what 'these fuckers' have to say on terrorism Leazes, you ridiculous, tiny minded, racist cretin? oh dear. The ultimate do-gooder. Why don't you go and give medical treatment to those who they blow up just because you don't follow the same God that they do ? Who is "racist" ? Did you bother to click the link I gave you? You are Leazes with your adamant belief that muslims = terrorists as demonstrated in that post. well, lets put it this way. Not all muslims are terrorists, but most terrorists are muslims, right ? And - there are a lot more "sympathisers" among the silent majority than you think chum. You seriously under-estimate the terrorist threat and the mindset of them, as it happens anyway, their potty religion comes first, second and third with them. Consideration for others with different beliefs just isn't on their radar and never will be. It doesn't take too many of them to blow up a plane/shopping centre etc Yes I clicked the link. You however, like all do gooders, offended, poor little dears that you all are, were looking for something that wasn't there, as per usual in the post I made. Spot on.
  15. Fucking hell, I know Ashley is a cunt but if you want to go down that route you would have to talk about Shepherd and his relationship with Willie McKay. I have absolutely no doubt at all that FS made money out of NUFC. I also have no doubt that he made more than is reported. That doesn't mean that Ashley is squeaky clean. See, this is something I can't really see the point of disputing, everybody wants to make money out of something, it's not a crime, it's just life. I don't care if the Halls and Shepherd made money, they saved the club and took risks, however minimal in proportion to what came later, in fact what came later came because it was a success. They took their financial rewards like people do, but as supporters, they gave us a good 15 years, shame we didn't win a trophy or two, but we came close a lot of times and it was by far the best years in half a century. If Mike Ashley does the same I wouldn't begrude him selling on and making money either. That's the point I'm making. There may be a few owners who are losing money running premier league clubs, some of them because they love the game and are rich enough to indulge themselves. I don't think Ashley is one of them despite what the accountants say. I'm with you in that the FCB could make as much as he wants if his ambition matched it.

  17. On paper, yes it appears that only the AC money is the difference. But, can anybody believe that Ashley actually shelled out nearly 6 mill on Xisco, for example? I'd be more inclined to think that some of that money found its way into somebody's back pocket as that seemed a dodgy deal. Perhaps Ashley's pocket.
  18. Please explain, I'd really like to understand that theory. As I guess would HMRC and companies house etc etc Other than Dekka and Mike perfecting Alchemy in the Lab of Cockney Evil in the bowels of SJP, I'm struggling to find an explanation to explain this huge fiddle. I mean the auditors Price Waterhouse Coopers (or some such) sign off the accounts on the basis that the owner underwrites and is subsidising the club as a going concern and yet he's coining it in, fucking outrageous, someone should be told !!!!!! I hesitate to say it as know I'm wasting my breath, but Leazes' argument that football clubs never go 'bust' because someone always comes in to save them (and he does genuinely advocate that approach) does have the intrinsic weakness that the personality of the person who arrives as 'saviour' becomes a key factor. So if you like, ironically, despite everything he says about Ashley, the person who has really got his man is Leazes. You can't have it both ways after all. Ok yeah, it could have been an Arab. But it wasn't. As to sniffer, I imagine it is worth Ashley 'keeping it going' as long theres nobody currently willing to buy it off him. What would be your alternative suggestion for him, like? I have no idea. I don't know Ashley, same as everybody on here, other than what I read about him but he doesn't appear to be the type who'll just continue to lose money in an investment. He doesn't appear to have any great love for football, has no connections with the area, doesn't live here and and employs a cunt like lambias who is hated by everybody. I don't have the confidence that you seem to have in everything being above board in the finances because I don't believe he'd still be here if he wasn't making money somehow.
  19. I can only assume that, even though the financial wizards on here will argue that Ashley is losing money hand over fist, he isn't. Somehow, it's worth his while to keep this going and it certainly is not down to interest in Newcastle or a love of the game.
  20. fucking great this man, on the one hand we have those [ie Toonpack - anything "Fred" did, lets do it differently] who think they dish out champions league and european places by virtue of your bank balance, and those of us who largely realise this is not the case. Glad I chose to un-ignore this post. Still making stuff up I see. Champions league places are "won" largely on ability to spend, which I would suggest equates to the health/depth of your (or your owners) bank balance. So indeed Champions League places are by virtue of said bank balance. good job "Fred" bought Laurent Robert and Craig Bellamy then, instead of doing it the Mike Ashley way ie selling someone like Alan Shearer and Rob Lee to balance the books, or we would have wrapped ourselves in bottom half of the league splendour with a terrific bank balance instead of going to the Nou Camp [again] and the San Siro etc. Who the fuck wants to do things like that eh ? What would the club need to do from now until the end of the summer to make you think again? I dont mean change your mind completely, one good summer doesnt make an ambitious owner of course but what would be acceptable for you? Be sold to an owner that gives a fuck?
  21. Ah, now that's bull. I'd say that out of 200 random people who were at Glastonbury, 198 would have heard of Woodstock. Like you said Stevie, your music knowledge is akin to CT's football knowledge, so it's understanderble that you haven't heard of Woodstock, but it's a hugely famous festival and has more references to it in popular culture than Glastonbury does. It was a one off concert even The Beatles didn't turn out for. First time I'd heard of it was on Forrest Gump. Glastonbury is the most famous annual music festival in the world though, it really is. I doubt if many people will even remember Glastonbury in 40 odd years time. By the time Woodstock came about, it was all over for the beatles bar the shouting so its not surprising they wren't there.
  22. If you believe every American has a gun under their pillow then you probably are still putting a tooth under yours.
  23. Next thing is the family of the dead cunt will be suing the homeowner. Just another another example of how the country is fucked up and getting worse.
  24. You've easily turned into the most cynical on here like. I wouldnt disagree that either tbh but I now see Stoke as a bigger club in terms of current football standing (and you could never gauge how hard that is for me to say!). FA Cup final, Europa league next season, hes captain there and much liked by the fans. Stoke made it clear he wasnt for sale so to then sell them to a club who is a rival for league places wouldnt seem sensible. Would you have said Portsmouth were when they were in a similar position? I can't say the likes of Ben Arfa, Cabaye or Marveaux would have chosen to sign for Stoke over us. I'd wait and see what they're like before running your mouth. We might wish they'd signed for Stoke.
