His sides played the right way though. Everyone had hard men back in those days as has been mentioned. His side would have been walked all over without the likes of Kenny Burns. Doesn't mean he didn't have the right ethos about the way the game should be played. Tbh though, you'd argue shite was sugar. Thanks for agreeing with me. It must be killing you.

Cloughie got football right? That's why he had the nastiest, dirtiest player in his day playing for him. A right cunt that cost us one of the best players we've ever produced. But don't let the facts get in the way of a good story.

That Leeds team did play brilliant football. They were also as hard as any team around but every one of them was a very good player. When you look at other teams in that era, its difficult to single out Leeds players when you think of the likes of McGrath and McNamee, Tommy Smith, Chopper Harris, Maurice Setters, Storey,Simpson and Mclintoch...three fucking thugs at arsenal...Dave Mackay, Pat Crerand, Charlie Hurley to name but a few. Leeds players were just as hard or dirty however you look at it but also a hell of a team. I'd say all those players'd have a good laugh at the puffs playing the game these days.
  4. Good to see you are paying attention. I actually said there are other players I'd get rid of before Barton.
  5. Or on a long term contract he can sit around and rake in the cash. It's not like we haven't seen that before.
  6. Aye, routledge has been a terrible signing like Sniffer obviously cant smell a good player..... Had to double take reading that myself. Routledge has been a great signing for us this season. Routledge may be at his level in the championship like a number of our players. He's already shown that he can't cut it in the premier league. Martin O'Neill rolled the dice on him but only gave him an eighteen month contract rather than commit himself to a long term deal and sure enough, he was on his bike. I hope he turns out to be a great player for us and an inspired signing, but I still think three and a half years is a gamble and the difference in thinking between an experienced manager and a novice.
  7. If Barton gets back to the level he played at City then he's better than anybody else in our midfield. There's plenty of players I'd ship out ahead of him. In fact, hughton is signing worse players than Barton on long term contracts who probably can't perform in the premier league.
  8. If I was Fat Mike, I wouldn't be that confident that Hughton would spend the money well so I'd be leery about forking over 20 million. Giving Routledge and particularly best three and a half year deals doesn't exactly make me think he has an eye for a player. Least said the better about about even having pancake at the club.

Until we add at least six quality players, I wouldn't laugh at the situation at any other clubs.
  10. Perhaps nobody has told Hughton we are signing him in the summer?
  11. Lets hope its not the same scout that watched leon fucking best.
  12. Hughton has no idea. Disorganized as fuck and hope the high ball pays off.
  13. I have no problem with Gerrard or Rooney.
  14. Good. He's a cunt who couldn't give a rat's arse about anybody but himself.
  15. FFS. I can't believe that people are so easily satisfied.
  16. Anybody can sign players. I'm not sure that these ones add anything to the squad other than warm bodies.
  17. So much for these people who were creaming their pants over the window and thinking ashley was coming good.
  18. Not much to choose between the two of them. Neither of them appear that good part of which is down to the lack of creativity in midfield. I doubt if ranger would do much better than carroll when hughton's main tactic is to belt high balls into the box.
  19. Afraid to publish the true figures.
  20. Not really my little french friend. I do the same thing myself so I know how much its a waste of money most of the time.
  21. Perhaps these corporations need to make their employees fly coach instead of business on the A380 when they are attending meetings in New York that are probably a waste of time anyway.
