Quite funny how everytime people line up to try and stop him from getting onto his left foot, knowing he will drop a shoulder and go past them. They know it and prepare for it but can do fuck all about it
-
Why would they be different now? TV money? Smaller clubs becoming more competitive? Learning lessons from last year? The fact we nearly went down? Granted our owner has no love for the club but being a shrewd businessman you'd expect him to take account of the above. While I dont expect any great things from Ashley I've still got the right to be pissed when clubs that were in and around us move leagues ahead and those way behind make moves to catch up while all the while we stand still. Standing still in this situation is akin to moving backwards.
-
You are comparing us to Norwich, Hull and Stoke. Says it all really. Liverpool apparently closing in on Ilori, Sakho and Moses. Quality signings those if they happen. Them and Spurs have left us miles behind now.

He was jumping up and down everywhere during the game clearly having a go at his coaches as well. Absolute prick.

Not to mention the fallout that takes place as a result of the drone strikes. Imagine the state of a man finding out his family's been bombed to death from out of nowhere. Then there have been weddings, functions, makeshift schools and hospitals etc that have been bombed. Another Nobel peace prize for Obama should help fix it all though,

Not a bad day of football this Can now sit back and enjoy tomorrow's games

What does Ashley's lack of ambition have to do with Cabaye? We're just eating up whatever the media's feeding us, still not a single word from Cabaye on all this but he's a villain.

If you're going to hate every player who wants away when a bigger club comes calling you'll be hating quite a few people.

Mbiwa looked pretty decent today. Colo has that effect on fellow defenders though.
-
Thank goodness for that. My weekend is saved! How shite or otherwise our season is going to depend greatly on us keeping Ben arfa fit.

Jarvis is very underrated and while he got past Debuchy a couple of times I thought all in all he was quite well marshalled. Half of the times Debuchy did get beat he was back to make the tackle and stop the cross.

Spot on most of that article. Sums up what we've been feeling. They've sucked out the pride from the club. Football isnt fun any more.
-
Aye valid point that. Now with Kinnear at the club and 'lesser' clubs showing a lot more ambition than us you have to wonder if that effect will be larger than ever this season. As a player it must be reassuring to know where you are going as a team, something to aim for and look to the future for. At best we're a stagnant club at the moment and you cant blame any half decent player for wanting away or not wanting to join us.

Yup, absolute farce this. No lessons learnt from last summer. Or rather they just dont give a shit.
-
Still no news of a bid from anywhere reliable though.
-
Agree. In the complete and utter mess that we are just better not to make guess and support the players on the pitch.

Its supposed to be in Euros for us too isnt it? At least on the sites Ive read.

Season Ticket Renewal/Apathy - £25 Half Season tickets
aimaad22 replied to Tooj's topic in Newcastle Forum
Was reading comments from Krul on twitter about hoping there would be a good crowd for tomorrow's game. Made me think about this discussion again. Lets say our average attendance came down to 30 000 this season. By staying away do we further demoralise already frustrated players? Those pulling up their socks and going for it for the sake of the fans and the club. How much would it affect overall performance and the position we end up at at the end of the season. Would the hit on Ashley's pocket be worth any potentially adverse effects on player morale and thus performances? Its all hypothetical of course, just wondering. -
Wish we would try at least. Was very impressed with him at Wigan and he hasnt really been given a proper chance at Chelsea. If they are willing to loan him a bid in the region of 5M-7M might get him. Surely we're still a more attractive proposition than bloody West Brom Clarke or not.
-
West Brom being linked with Moses. Why arent we in for him? Will he be too expensive or are West Brom another one of those 'bigger clubs' we have to wait up for.

Human nature, always looking for the things we cant have

Alright but spare a thought for this poor soul!

Not many things worse than getting ready to pack up at work on a Friday and suddenly finding out you've got to come in tomorrow

Galloway brilliant as usual in his speech.
