Alan Pardew - Poltroon sacked by a forrin team
Toonpack replied to Kid Dynamite's topic in Newcastle Forum
is he happy with making profits and not being backed to replace players he is forced to sell ? He is happy with the fincancial structure, which he said "is geared towards competing and trying to win trophy's, it's not a model aimed at mediochrity" (I paraphase, but if you bothered to listen to it, you'd hear the same thing). Why don't you listen to him yourself ?? are you daft ? If he says anything else, he'll be sacked man Have you listened to him yet ??- 10610 replies

Have you listened to Pardew yet, be interested in your comments. Be a quiet board if we only discussed games, they don't happen daily you do realise.

Like me. I see every game btw and you put your own cash into it ? BTW, watching a game live and putting your own cash into it is not the same as watching on TV. And, you can reply to the rest of the post, including my comments that not everybody who watches games on TV is necessarily blind, in your own time. I used to times 3, much more personal money than your mates ever did. I would suggest as I kept 3 tickets going for 2 years since I stopped going myself, I'm still owed a few games tbh. what ? Do you think playing in europe, the Champions League, 2 FA Cup Finals, buying top players instead of selling them, etc is not as good value as winning the 2nd division ? Is that the basis of your view that the current owner is "better" The good stuff is MUCH better, but we were never going back there, we were headed to MUCH worse. at the time, I believe the vast majority of people wanted rid of them "because anybody would do better than this". As if "anybody" would automatically lift the club into the top 4 alongside Chelsea, ManU, Arsenal and Liverpool - at the time . Simple odds, and I'm not even a betting man. What are or were the odds on that ? Incredible that people would believe such rubbish. You still don't confirm your view that Ashley is not going to match the ambitions, nor attempt to even realise the potential of the club, which is what I believe you were hoping he would do in the last transfer window "because its now the first time he has money to spend". This statement is also bollocks, it would mean going into this "debt" again, and if that was his aim, he would have gone that route ages ago. Which is also straightforward logical thought process. I really think its about time you just admitted that myself and others who told you ages ago that he would not attempt to realise the capability of the club have been correct, and get on with things. You are wasting your time spending so much time trying to deflect the content of your posts and avoid admitting this. His direction has been obvious for 4 years now, all you and others needed to do was take your head out of the sand. He will NEVER match the league positions of the previous regime, or even attempt it. He will ALWAYS sell our best players when possible and not back his managers with the money received. Most supporters who stump up the money to go to games, and so actually focus on winning on the pitch above all else [and for the most part understand this is what drives the finance] will never consider this to be "better" than fighting eternal relegation battles and settling for survival. There is still a little way to go yet before this sinks in with an element of the support, but they will realise eventually this is what this football club is all about now. How the fuck would it have been "better" if the previous regime were still in charge. Go on, convince me. As ever, you come up with selective facetious shite. On my first page, I have a post regarding the Pardew interview, which I recomended to everyone to listen to. Noticeably no-one on this forum appeared to. There hasn't been a game since Spurs, my posts (recent) have been on topics that have been being discussed, simple as, you're getting as bad as LM for making shite up. You gonna bark all night little doggie or you gonna bite? Think I'll bite tbh. Anyway it's not night-time

I do and have made numerous "match" posts, always have.

Course you don't have to trust them. You can dismiss whatever they say as utter bollocks and judge what happens on actions. Looking back over the past year or so, the major decisions being... Sack Hughton Appeared twattish but turns out not Appoint Pardew Appeared twattish but turns out not see above Sell Carroll Not twattish - wouldn't wat him back tbh Don't replace him Borderline twattish - Demba Ba "could" be considered the replacement. Up the Sports direct ante Inconsequential - neither twattish or untwattish Move season ticket holders from the corner - Understandable given the bile. It's not the first time fans have been shifted, and wont be the last. Increase the family enclosure capacity - Untwattish Restrict fans to 1 away ticket each -for Non member fans, that said Paully on Skunkers collared 14 tickets for B'Burn away so is this "1 ticket" really a fact. Offer a 10 year price freeze Decidedly untwattish surely Largley twattish Largely untwattish tbh In fact it's really a long time since he made a major rick I'm not going to go over all the twattish things above. I've tried to include all the major decisions, twattish or not, and I'm sure you'll be in the minority on most if you asked fans wether they think each was twattish or not. I would suggest, other than the seat move thing and maybe the SD sinage (as they're both emotive to a point), anyone stating those I've labelled untwattish as twattish would be patently wrong (for example the price freeze).

Which isn't from the tribunal btw, lets not forget that either. Lets not forget that it doesn't make it any less true though. To a point, but not as cut and dried or as accurate/damning as the simple quote suggests, unless of course you want to read it that way. My opinion - just so as not to reopen that debate: Yes they lied about KK not having last word or the final decision on "business" transfers, but nowt else. That quoted statement is taken (by many) to mean that the tribunal found they lied about all and everything all of the time, simply not true. Did they lie or not? Not sure about you mate but a liar is a liar in my books and rarely change their spots. They're a pair of lying cunts who can't be trusted....simples Have you never told a lie ?? Is your real name Jesus. Actually the real problem is, that you have to trust them, there is no alternative, unless someone with hundreds of millions to throw around comes along. There's absolutely nowt anyone can do about it. I know there is no alternative and nothing we can do about it but it doesn't mean I have to trust them, is your name Mug? What does your lack of trust protect you from ?? Because of the fact you don't trust them, what do you do differently in respect of them ?? I assume little, other than take every decision that's made in a negative light and therefore getting needlessly wound up, often over nowt probably. That causes no-one but yourself angst. They will do what they will do, nowt you can do about it, I neither trust nor mistrust them, as my trust (or not) is of no consequence, other than it may get me wound up and thus I'd be the only one to suffer. It's not worth the trouble.

I have no issue with "profit from sale" or recovery of money put in (even with reasonable interest) and if the dividends etc are taken from profits fair enough, to a point, but if it's to the detriment of the finances it's not ok, because by definition those monies are being taken to the detriment of the team/club. Liverpools old owners never took salary nor dividend, it all went back in, maybe that's why our respective roads diverged from when we were on a par with them. That led them to real sustained success and led us to purely relative "success", compared to what we were used to. We have not had any semblance of real or sustained success since the 50's. To borrow Leazes' favourite "quote" we were the 5th best club in the league. Is being 5th at anything real success? its a damn sight better than the "average" 17th of your man, and his target of "top 10". You wouldn't get consistent league positions like that by selling your best players and not backing your managers. Anyway, have you worked out where the cash from the sales of Carrol etc has gone yet ? And do you have the bottle to concede that your man didn't do what you thought he would do in the summer, and spend that money to show his ambition ........ I didn't think that. I said (for the tenth-ish time) we would see his intentions, either spend or recoup, it appears he's recouping. I never said I "thought" he'd spend, I said "we should be in a position where he could" if that was his intention, it appears it's not. That said, more than happy with the position of the club on and off the field. As for your contstant, "why don't you go" jibes, you know why I don't go. I'm only at home Saturday's and Sunday's, every week (and travelling back on a Sunday night), I value my family life (what I can get of it) maybe that's why I've just celebrated my 30th wedding anniversary, what about you ?? BTW I kept my ST's (I had three) going for 2 years after I stopped going personally, and no, I didn't sell them on in that time, I gave them away match by match to whoever could go. I owe the club nowt in £££'s terms.

Whilst I sympathise for the child, my/our first son was stillborn, I still had to go to work and I didn't serially break the law, he gets paid multi-thousands a week, no excuse. no ones excusing him the speeding for it but I think some performance dropping considering his line of work would be forgiven from most people who arent twats really, since you put it as "I still had to go to work" I assume Ive missed a story where he hasnt shown up for training or we've kicked off in a match and Saylors gone "hang on a mintue, wheres danny?" Never said he did, the context was more about the serial offences leading to the ban and what I (mistakenly) thought was the childs illness being used as an excuse for that (that, being the offence).
-
No Oh and grow up Listen, you old fool, my point was you can't believe that he wants away because of the statement made in court. I wasn't defending his speeding. You prick. Well make it clearer for us old foggies next time, pup.

I meant in terms of his drop in performances/mental state could be a result of his mind being elsewhere. Honestly can't imagine how heartbreaking it must be to lose a child so early or to see a baby born premature and struggling. Let alone be coping with that and then playing football in front of tens of thousands of people on your back. Not saying he's ever been a world beater but I thought he did well for us in his first season, I see no reason why he can't enjoy a resurgence/improvement in form once his personal life improves. Sorry to hear that btw, Toonpack. Apologies, I didn't appreciate the context, thought the excuse was for the offence as his "mind was elsewhere"

Even when they make a trading loss larger ???(I really don't know how that works, but it did)

First point = Nope, if it had been like that, fair do's (which is my main gripe btw) £2.7 Mill profit in 98, about £1 Mill in 99 and I think about £4 Mill in 2003/04 and fuck all else. That doesn't add up to £52 Million (sale profit NOT included as that is in the "fair enough" category). Second point = What "profit" did Ashley "make" last year.
