It'll come down to who the writers are, hopefully Stephen Ambrose will be involved (he wrote the first one)

11 years of labour rule. It has fostered a "I dont have to do anything I dont want to attitude in England". We need a Tory government who are willing to act like a tory government to get these fucks back into society and functioning again. If thety dont, let them starve IMO. Social change supercedes political change in this case. I dont agree that a government who came in in 1997 is responsible for a social underclass in the UK. Thats just fucking stupid tbh. You're right, it's not solely this governments fault nor is it all down to Thatcher. The "underclass" has always been there (I'm 50 btw and they were there when I was a kid) but the change through my lifetime has been that the underclass' existence has been made easier and easier by successive governments and social changes. I think it is sad that Thatcher gets all the blame (by many) because "she threw everyone out of work" and as a result they turned to crap. By sad I don't mean I have any particular sympathy for Thatcher BUT it is highly dissrespectfull to the working man - who in significant numbers of cases were and are "decent" members of society and even in the face of adversity/hardship remained so, and made damn well sure so did their families. The Thatcher destroyed industry and turned millions to crap is a phallacy IMO

It's not a new phenomenon, there is a section of the population that just can't function in a society, never has been able to and never will, but there's one hell of a lot more of the fuckers these days.

And don't forget West Ham still have the potential £30 million Sheff Utd bill hanging over them on top of any ownership skintness

Absolutely no different to the weekly dives we see for penalties that never where IMO. I think he's a drug cheat though and therefore should never be compared to Pele for example (I don't think Maradonna was as good anyway, but that's beside the point.

On a Celtic board, despicable bastards http://celtictalk.org/celtic-fc-f70-...irt-t8139.html Protesting on Saturday about the team wearing the Poppy on their shirts . We will be leafleting all sides of the ground before the game on Saturday. We want as many people as possible to turn up on Saturday and help us spread the message amolng the supporters against this jingoism. Cairde Na hÉireann are supporting the protest. We will be urging in the leaflet that fans should support the walk out protest suggested by the Green Brigade. We will also be urging that if there's a minute's silence before the start of the match, those who are against this celebration of British imperialism should turn their backs on the silence and/or hold up the front of our leaflet as a show of defiance. Meet at the Cairde Shop on the Gallowgate at 1pm. We will be discussing on the day what should happen after people walk out of the stadium.

One game surely ??? Three games is for violent conduct isn't it. Unless he's carrying a tot-up score of cards Oh aye, not a prayer it'll be overturned IMO, if he was called John Terry of course that'd be different

So they do the survey at stations after people have commuted, one person (mackem likely) doesn't wash after a wipe pushes metro door button, holds onto rail in carriage, pays for paper with coins etc, everyone else who touches button, holds same rail or gets mackem stained coins as change get unwelcome fecal guests on their hands which they in turn spread to more surfaces which more people touch etc etc etc.

He was never fit, and was never allowed to get fit, which was a shame because he was a canny player. Wayne Ferraday, and Bill Riley top him by a mile IMO

You couldn't make it up Meanwhile, The National Portrait Gallery has launched a public appeal to raise £200,000 for Marc Quinn's self-portrait head cast made from frozen blood. The gallery wants to buy the fourth head in a series, made in 2006, which is being sold by London's White Cube gallery for £350,000. The Art Fund has offered a £100,000 grant and the National Portrait Gallery has found £50,000 from its own resources, leaving it to raise the remainder by December 31. Quinn has made a new cast, using eight or nine pints of his own blood, every five years to document his ageing since 1991

Well not really - there aren't any West Ham or Chelsea fans on here defending that kind of chant. The Spuds chant was not that kind of chant. It was specifically aimed at an individual (and crafted to "get at" that individual) exactly. Toms still struggling with the concept of net spend and average attendance tbh. It doesnt surprise me he is struggling with this. Possibly because you twist statistics to match your arguement. Regarding Attendance : You regard % of ground filled as a more important factor in determining a good attendance. This is retarded and it's really not how it works. Net Spend : I understand Net Spent and I couldn't care less about it about 75% of your income from player sales came from 2 players - you have spent £70m on building a first 11 and it isn't working very well is it? Racist Chanting : Whether targeted at an Individual or a group I think the concept remains the same and it has no place in football in my opinion. Which ones Danny_B? I would agree IF I thought the Campbell chant was rascist, but it wasn't (in my opinion)

Will you stop looking for racist things that aren't even there man? It muddies the waters of any debate. Danny B reckons his dad did wash elephants. If that's true, how the fuck is that racist? And how is calling his mother a whore? It's potentially canny offensive, aye. I very much doubt his dad washes Elephants, it's obviously highlighting the fact he's from Togo. + I never said it was racist to call his mother a whore - I was just putting the song in. Elephants are self cleaning (ok they might need a wax every now and again) and his mother did it for free (allegedly), it's all lies, lies I tell you. I've got a wallet made out of an elephant's foreskin, it's fucking brilliant!! Give it a rub and it turns into a suitcase

get the monkey off the pitch- acceptable banter yes or no If your watching a game in the Congo and an errant chimp runs (bounds?) on and is interfereing with play, then yes it's acceptable. Otherwise no

And how is calling his mother a whore? It's potentially canny offensive, aye. Tom's a rascist, he subconciously believes black people wash elephants and marry whore's, therefore because the song was sung, he recognises his feelings and identifies it as rascism, when it's not but he is. I know what I mean
-
Aye I know the song, but the first bit is a fact (I believe) and the second is just bile, a'la "Alan Shearer's illegitimate" that the mackems sang. Nee different, not racial, just bile.

FACT. I just did a quick check and one account of Judas' death has him hanging himself. No mention of a tree either. Well you will have to take our word that it is not. No one knows how Judas died because it happened 2000 years ago. The bible talks of him "hanging" the assumption that it was from a tree is a fair one. But wouldn't Spurs having racist songs about Adebayor imply that the Campbell songs are also racist? DO they though? or is it only rascist because they sing a derogatory song to a black bloke ??

I find it incredible that someone who gets paid tens of thousands of pounds a week can get all precious because he was called names for 90 minutes. I find even more incredible that other people get even more precious in defence of the overpaid athlete's precious feelings.
-
For the last time that chant isnt racist! Give up man, the "chantee" was black so the chant was rascist, end of
-
There's booing, there's banter and then there are pathetic sick jibes like the song your fans sing. Precious little of that left tbh OK so what they sang may be a tad distastefull but if he hadn't whinged on about the songs since day one it would have died a death, it still effects him 7 years on, so they'll keep singing. I have no love at all for Spuds but he should have pocketed his cash and kept shtum, he's having the last laugh £££'s wise anyway. My heart bleeds for him, poor little waif

They won't want your salute, just your bank details

I'm not sure actually owned shares, I read (somewhere) he was spread betting on the share price, at one point he was alledgedly £100mill down !!

It's the ideas that need to impress to be fair. And having scoffed at stuff like this in the past (as recently as a couple of days ago), I'm pretty impressed with their ideas. At the end of the day if we all just say "It'll never work", then it'll never work. I'd chuck some money at them for shares if it looked like this was getting off the ground. I'm not so sure about the "it'll never work" angle but IMO it's not worth it, let's face it unless a team has a mega-rich sugar daddy it's going nowhere in the current world of football. If a structure was in place where ALL revenues were shared evenly by the clubs (except say their own merchandising) and there was some form of salary cap structure based upon turnover THEN and only then would something like this be worth putting your money in, because then you just might be able to make a difference. By all revenues I mean, champions league, premiership, cup incomes etc is divied up between all the teams in the league, you win it for the glory not the £££'s, everyone gets the benefit of a strong league. A level playing field if you will, It'll never happen like.
