  1. I certainly think we can upgrade but if I had to choose I'd look to upgrade the weakness (defence) before what is already pretty decent (attack).
  2. Someone on twitter quoted the law for what crime that constitutes, 12 years was the maximum evidently.
  3. This RW fixation does my head in, we had no problem at all creating chances and scoring gosls last season, we were regularly taken apart defensively. Sure upgrading RW would be great, but it's not/isn't the biggest hole we had IMO.
  4. Given the contract length governs the amortisation of the fee, based on the Amazon doc and the haggling, I'd be amazed if it was not 5 years tbh. 3.5 years v 5 years is £3.5mill a year difference on £40 mill fee.
  5. That’s all worked out/accounted for before a transfer budget is set
  6. that will have been from previous budgets, if we now have £100Mill budget that’s “new” money
  7. They’ll be after everyone, the daft bastards will have had their phones with them and they’ll be trawling the tracking data, so why were you in Greggs and the O2 shops when they were robbed mate ? Same lawyer I mentioned above said folks were getting a knock at the door 12 months later, the Police trawled everything. Be way quicker these days with the data tools available.
  8. Lawyer on twitter posted yesterday that when he was defending 2011 mob, no-one got bail, all were remanded. He basically said this lot don’t know it but will be the same. When you mess with the state and wider public, gloves are off. These fuckers won’t see sunshine until they finish whatever sentence they get and those are expected to be draconian - i.e. the full extent of the law. Starmer was head honcho at CPS at the time, his #2 from then tweeted much the same as that lawyer.
  9. if we spend £65mill on Guehi that’s not the amount deducted from our £100mill it’s £13 mill if he signs a 5 year deal, plus wages, say £20mill total. Would still have £80mill of budget left.
  10. Graham Thorpe RIP caught and bowled by D.Eath. Only 55 ffs
  11. If the previous government hadn't made a non-issue into an issue (by design) there wouldn't be any problems (same can be said of Brexit).
  12. Just swatch what happens next, you’ll love it !
  13. The idiots are a tiny minority, hopefully this is a watershed for them being stamped on.
  14. The likely outcome for thick meatheads, the rest of us vote, seems like the centrist/left got waaaay more votes than the meatheads parties. So we won, suck it up buttercup.
  15. They've got/found his linked in now 😂 soon to be ex-employee
  16. I have a watch, it tells the time, that after all is what a watch is for.
  17. EXACTLY "YAY We're the richest club in the world" "Whoooooa, we can't be spending THAT"
  18. Given we have some serious operators in the building these days, I'd be amazed if we've based our interest solely off just his Euro performance tbh. They'll have lists of players of interest for every position, when one becomes available (or they think there's a deal can be done) they'll move. His Euro performances likely just reinforced how they ranked him.
  19. The fee is so high because Palace don't want to sell him, if we want him, we have to pay what the seller demands and if we can afford it, why not ? If it ends up £65 million it's only a £13 million* cost this year, plus his wages obvs. Edit - *assumes he gets a 5 year deal.
  20. He's tuned the volume to experience Richer Sounds
  21. Oh dear, Gemmill’s miffed, I’m shaking in my Boots
  22. Our issues last season were not in creating chances, it was the other end of the pitch, improving the defence is #1 priority for me. We’ve got our development/back up striker (if deal’s done) we need a CB. RW upgrade is third on my list.
  23. Cue the internet fannies getting all upset when we end up with the german kid, they were creaming over, from Milan instead.
