According to Skysports, he's talking to 2 English clubs regarding a transfer, Spurs, Villa, City and Arsenal mentioned. It's taken from quotes he gave to a French mag. Predictable but it would be nice for him to hold off for a week or so until the club is sold so that the money isn't trousered by fat boy! I would keep Edgar, apart from the horrorible moment at Villa, I'm not sure he's put a foot wrong.

Father's in America on holiday, not back for a few weeks, by which time I feel like the moment will have passed.

I'd ask them to clarify that. What they are doing is re-profiling the shape of your cornea to bring your vision to a sharp focus, which is fine. However, once you hit your mid-forties the lens inside your eye (the crystalline lens) starts to becomes too stiff and inflexible for your eye muscles to be able to bring your focus in close. The classic sign is middle aged people trying to hold a menu as far away as possible and squinting to read. This is just as much a certainty as going grey, getting more wrinkles or having loads of hair start spurting from your ears & nose. It will happen to us all. Now, you can get one eye corrected for distance and one for near if you can tolerate 'monovision' and if you're able to suppress one eye then the other. However, presbyopia is an on-going thing, ie you'll need more and more magnification in the reading eye the older you get, so I don't know how they get round that. The promise was for lifelong results for long distance vision, they said (almost exactly) what you said with regards to the deteriation in short-sight.

Some fucker approached me in the corner of the car park behind Three Bulls once and asked for a couple of quid, cos he'd finished his shift at the hospital (Florence Nightingale) and had been mugged and couldn't get home. I felt particularly vulnerable, there was no one around and he was (personal space invadingly) close and i was standing with my car door open and keys in hand. I ended up giving him a couple of quid, seemed the lesser of two evils (the other having my car stolen).

I went for a consultation and they quoted me £1200 for Standard Lasek and £2400 for Lasek Wavefront. They promise lifelong results for both treatments, with same as glasses results with the standard and the wavefront offers better than glasses results and less night time glare. Either way it's a lot of wedge but struggling to justify the extra expenditure. It is my eyes though and I don't want to regret it.

Your next door neighbours have got the same B+Q plum slate chippings as I've got. Good job on the decking, I recently did mine and it's satisfying when it comes off!!

Typical of the man to look suitably sombre on this sad day!

Do you get a discount at the slaughter house if the animal is already dead?

So are you back to wearing glasses already? No, where does it say that? My eyesight is still very good. Sorry you wrote pre-op and I read post-op...

Genuine concern or naked self-interest? If I wait to find out the long term effects I'll be in my fifties when it's virtually impossible to look good wearing sunglasses!

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/8102432.stm GM agrees Saab sale to Koenigsegg Saab filed for reorganisation in Sweden in February General Motors has reached a tentative agreement to sell Saab to the Swedish sports car manufacturer Koenigsegg. GM said that as part of the deal there would be $600m (£367m) of funding from the European Investment Bank (EIB), guaranteed by the Swedish government. It is the latest part of GM's reorganisation, which is also set to see the Opel and Vauxhall brands going to Canada's Magna. Saab filed for reorganisation under Swedish law on 20 February. Koenigsegg produces 18 cars a year and employs 45 people and there has been some doubt as to whether it has the expertise to run Saab, which sold 93,000 cars in 2008. But GM Europe's president Carl-Peter Forster said: "Koenigsegg Group's unique combination of innovation, entrepreneurial spirit and financial strength... made it the right choice for Saab as well as for General Motors". GM revamp The statement from GM did not say how much is being paid for the unit. The sale is expected to be completed by the end of September. Koenigsegg specialises in the luxury end of the car market GM said it would continue to provide technology to Saab "during a defined time period". GM currently has bankruptcy protection in the US and is slimming down its range of brands as it tries to regain profitability. Saab employs about 3,400 people in Sweden and about 12,000 other jobs in the country are dependent on Saab and its suppliers. The Swedish government has been keen to avoid bailing out its carmakers as long as they are owned by US parent companies.

I wear glasses most of the time and daily lenses occasionally but reckon it's time to get my eyes lasered. Not for vanity, more for convenience. But for every person you speak to who say best decision I ever made there is another who has a horror story. Anyone had it done? Is it painful?

The editing last night was horrendous. But it was positively excellent when compared to his cringeworthy interview technique.

I reckon Benzema is more likely. Possibly increases chances of them keeping Tevez as well.

I don't like internet food shopping, it gives you no quality control. The stuff comes wrapped up in about a million bags, there is always an item missing and replaced with something more expensive and I always get the impression the delivery driver is after a tip! I'm sorry are you a waiter, taxi driver or hairdresser? No, then fuck off out of my house!!

As long as you are strictly a meat and two veg kind of guy it's fine (no pun intended). It's when you want something a little more exotic that it falls down. The herbs and spice collection for instance is dreadful, there is no fresh fish, the fruit and veg is like stepping back to the 80's (in that it's not pumped full of chemicals so that it lasts an eternity) and can be hit and miss.

Realistic Finishing Position Next Season

Anything less than winning the league is unacceptable! -
Is he actually just a wanker of a Spurs fan who, rather than spend time supporting his own team, would rather calculate the demise of ours?

You've seen nothing yet, I reckon once Shearer's had enough Ashley going to advertise the manager's position in Thursday's Chronicle.

Went to see Terminator:Salvation last night. Guff! Christian Bale was only slightly less shit than the CGI Arnie.. -
I went to dig out the story and for the first time I had to look in the Championship section of the Skysports website. It wasn't a great moment.

This is definitely more positive than the last statement. Maybe the phone hasn't been ringing too hot!! Danish winger Peter Lovenkrands is set for talks about a possible stay at Newcastle. The 29-year-old joined the Magpies on a six-month deal in the winter transfer window and was not expected to stay with the club following their relegation to the Championship. The former Rangers star was thought to favour a move to a Premier League club but will now have talks about a possible stay at St James' Park, according to his agent Ivan Marko Benes. Benes told Sporten.dk: "We have agreed with Newcastle that we will have a talk with them as soon as they know who will be the manager for the next season. For Peter, Newcastle has priority. "We are waiting for Newcastle, but at the same time we know that Peter doesn't have a contract for the next season so we are looking at other options. "But things are still not closed with Newcastle." Lovenkrands moved to Tyneside on a free transfer following a disappointing start to the season with German side Schalke. He scored three goals in the Magpies' bid to avoid the drop, including in the victories over West Brom and Middlesbrough.
