Yeah course. He has never STARTED, in a winning Spurs side, IN THE LEAGUE....ON A TUESDAY....IN THE RAIN...Blah blah blah. He was signed in the Jan window last year anyway. Doesn't that just make the stat worse!!

To be fair we are down, we need to win 3 games to give us a 5 point lead of the mackems and hope they don't pickup 5 points from their remaining 5 games its simply not gonna happen, if the Mackems win 2 games and hull nick a result we are down even if we do win those 3 games Eh, if we win three games and Hull nick A result I guarentee we will not go down.

That concerns me as well, Brown and Fergie seem to be pals. Hopefully Liverpool keep winning so there is something to play for on the last day.

I think that if we beat Pompey we'll stay up. It is without doubt the most must-win match in recent history!! My prediction is that we'll stay up on goal difference, we'll get 6 points, Hull will get 2 and Hull, Boro and WBA will go down.

Would it really slow down the game though alex? I've seen ref's take ages to deliberate on the truly contentious decisions, and if there were a piece of equipment that he could have the 4th official look at and get back to him then surely it'd speed things up. The ref already makes decisions under advisement from the linesmen any way. I can't see this slowing it down at all. but I defend your right to talk shit In what circumstances? They generally make decisions immediately, then get grief from players for ages.

Isn't Anelka out injured as well? Apparently he's in the squad. -

Drogba and Bosingwa both out... Which is nice -
Have you never seen an Alan Shearer interview before? Excitement isn't really his thing, it's more stoneyfaced determination and professionalism (not swearing, getting peoples name wrong, coughing repeatedly, throwing your assistant in the firing line - that kind of stuff) I think and hope he will be an excellent manager for NUFC for a good many years.

It was KK that brought him in... Same as all those youngsters were more than likely spotted by scouts and recommended to the club with Wise having the job to convince them to sign (which he failed with a couple of promising youngsters, like Vokes). I think Volkes is a different case, he's played 30 times for Wolves this season, he'd have been lucky to make the bench at the toon. He'd been unlucky not to make the bench this season tbh... As much as I agree with the policy of acquiriny young talents from all over the world. How successfull this approach is going to be we will only see in a couple of years time as normally only few players actually turn good... Too true. There does seem to be a bit of hype though. They're all being talked up as world beaters, who we are pipping Real Madrid to. -

Whilst the bloke is clearly a bellend and I think that he shouldn't have been anywhere near the first team, I think he has done a good job bringing youngsters to the club. Whilst Bassong is clearly an outstanding find, it might be that the likes of Adjei, Spear, Ranger, Vuckic and Soderburg are equally good. We also seem to be bringing in a lot more players for trials than in the past. I just hope that this doesn't end, beacuse as a model it is the right way to run a football club. -
I will always love the toon, it's not the toon that's changed it's me. I just feel I need to have a little bit of fun before I settle down to one club. Can we still be friends?

Got tickets for Sunday only. I'm getting on a bit so 3 days on the booze is a but much..
-
The ticket prices are obscene. £175 plus £7 booking. It's making think about pick one day. Is there normally a non-camping option? I live in Reading and you wouldn't catch me in a tent for all the blah blah blah.

He mouth was fucking weird like.... Still when it's full it doesn't really matter, does it? She's the spit of Heather Mills, who does that side of the mouth thing as well. *shudders*

I agree 100%. I can think of at least five who would be more entertaining and a better all round journalist than him. A key thing I would bring to a roll like that would be direct questions, not worrying about offending people, which are absolutely vital in any free journalistic publication. Your application just went in the bin Haha, I make schoolboy errors quite often when I'm typing fast, what used to amaze me though with Alan Oliver, was the amount of times his glaring gramatical and spelling errors managed to beat the copy checkers, so you can imagine what his draft pieces looked like. Same with this Lee Ryder. Oliver used to telephone his match reports in, so you can blame (at least some) of his gramatical mistakes on the work experience child on the other end of the phone. He was the only journalist who turned up to the match without a laptop.
