  1. I feel much worse now, as I have completely lost faith in Shepherd to appoint a decent manager. He had the perfect opportunity to get the right man last summer, but blew it, again. Who? Typical response, is it my job to have an in depth knowledge of club managers around the world? Am I paid £700k a year salary and (formerly) several million quid in dividends? As it happens, I always wanted O'Neill, and I am nearly certain he would have moved the club forward. But one thing I did know last summer, is that Roeder was a shit choice. There isn't a manager in the premiership with a worse record, is there? The guy is a clueless yes man with no charisma or inspirational qualities at all. His signings have been on the main shit or inappropriate, or non-existent. He doesn't have the first knowledge of tactics, and his support staff are even more clueless than him (Pearson possibly excepted). Most people on this forum are aware of this, some I suspect are still in denial. Why wasn't the fat man who's paid a fortune aware of it? I'm literally amazed anyone can prefer Roeder to Allerdyce. I only asked as you phrased it like you meant a specific person.

  3. I'm confused as to why he's left Bolton now as opposed to after Souness or after Robson.
  4. I felt worse under Souness
  5. I'm guessing @yourservice found out Toplass's match.com details
  6. Perhaps because the press keep making up bullshit stories, which he has to counter or the fans start to think he's after a player he didn't want 12 months ago?
  7. With what he's got away with already, Fred is untouchable.
  8. The press are setting him up for a slagging now, this is getting daft. Perhaps if people didn't believe the papers so much...
  9. I'm a Toon fan. We're all certifiable by definition
  10. I'm hardly being an extremist here in my opinion, and from opinions when talking to mates/general randoms (obv. not internet randoms). I would take Fergie, I wouldn't take Mourinho. I think he has pushed the limit too far and there is a clear difference between him and the rest if you're not blinded by the sparkle of trophies. People have tried to generalise this, but all I ever said was I don't want Mourinho anywhere near this club, nothing more nothing less.
  11. Why does child abduction have to be always associated with paedophilia? There's been many cases of children being abducted in the past with no sexual motive whatsoever (ransom, persons who cannot have children of their own, etc.) I'm not condoning abduction whatsoever - it's a horrible crime, but to automatically label someone who has done it a paedophile is prejudice and wrong! Come off it. If the kid has been taken of course it's a peado. I hardly think they were minted given the circumstances, and if you want a kid because you can't have one, you don't usually nick a 3 year old
  12. I get the bus at around 8.45pm on Elswick Road, just outside Elswick pool after my Brazilian dance class every Monday & Friday. ROCK! me, man, FACT! The new triangle
  13. Ferguson's an absolute tool who pulls every trick in the book and Wenger's not much better tbh. I'd have them both here though. And a lot of the problem with people's percetpion of Chelsea is due to Abramovich's lolly imo. Not wanting a winning manager syndrome. It's called having principles. But seemingly you need to be prepared to abandon them to be a Toon fan If you want a successful team principles have to go out the window. Why? Name me a team over the past few years who've won something and not been managed by an arrogant tosser? Liverpool. I don't even think Ferguson is arrogant beyond what his record deserves. Wenger is a sore loser and needs glasses, but he's not arrogant.
  14. Perhaps your last sentence reinforces the first few, I think one leads to the other. I presume you've never felt aggrieved at an injust decision that's went against us?

  16. You probably have that opinion because he chose to reveal this fact to the press himself. He can't even do it without taking credit for the genius of his thinking.

  18. Might not be a peaodo, might have been a burglary and the kids wandered off out the open door. Where are the other two anyway?
  19. You just know that if Sam were ever to not do well here, that critical articles would always end in in '....plus he is an ex-mackem'

And a lot of the problem with people's percetpion of Chelsea is due to Abramovich's lolly imo. Neither are anywhere near as bad as Mourinho. Can you imagine Mourinho giving the post match interview after AC Milan? He can not accept defeat without pulling out some obscure bit of the match that went against him. He takes victim hood to a new level. He would make an ideal Liverpool manager actually. Lest anyone remember, this man is responsible for a respected international referee retiring after death threats. So, what is it you're saying? Is there some sort of cut-off point where all of a sudden someone is too much of a wanker to manage Newcastle in your eyes regardless of how good they are? Whatever tbh Btw: Fergie blamed tomorrow's match against Man City for losing against Milan. I think the difference is as clear as daylight, like he says, there's only one Jose. And I don't recall Fergie blaiming the defeat on Man City, he was implying he might get beat at City because of the AC match.
  22. The 999 people are shite like. I was first on scene to some twat who'd flipped his impreza on a country lane. First the silly bitch is demanding I choose which service I want, as she's not allowed to choose for me, but it has to be ONLY one. Now to my mind, I needed the cops as he was completely blocking the lane with no lights and no chance of seeing the car if you approached too fast, I needed fireman Sam as the car was smoking, smelt of burning and was basically fucked, and I needed an ambulance as the driver was stumbling around the road mumbling with a gash to the head. But apparently I'm the one qualified to make the decision. Then, I knew roughly where I was, which I told her, and I also told her the TWO street names I could see, and she proceeded to fanny about picking places 20-30 miles away. Ten minutes later, someone did actually come careering round the bend and had to ditch in the field because the cops hadn't arrived in time. Thankfully the car didn't expode and the driver didn't drop down dead with a brain heomorage
