What's it like to have manufactured support?

What's it like to have to start yet another people's campaign to get your support to resemble a decent crowd? -
1. After 8 laps the time between first and last man is the same as between 1st and 2nd in F1 2. Teams are actually allowed to cooperate to screw other teams over 3. Getting commentators to repeat ad slogans is gay 4. Montoya sounds more Colombian now he's in the US 5. The winning car gets put on display at the track for the year 6. The guy in front appreciates you rubbing his rear end 7. Tight & Loose = Oversteer & Understeer 8. The yellow line is your friend 9. I must see this race live before I die (been to LeMans, F1 and BTCC before)

Neither do I, in principal. But when frustration turns into abuse I think referees should act. Football players are grown men, not little children. You don't see Michael Vaughan screaming 'what was that you cock' when he gets a dodgy LBW decision. Not sure it's a valid comparison due to the relative speeds at which decisions are made, and the games themselves are played. If football was more leisurely and decisions were made after a few seconds, then I doubt there would be the same level of frustration. Another nonsense explanation to excuse the vile behaviour of footballers. Many fast bowlers charge in, bowl the ball at 90mph into the pads then instantly turns to the umpire and appeal. Many times the umpire will instantly say not out, despite it looking plumb. Yet despite the 'speed at which the decision is made', the bowler still manages to avoid questioning the parentege of the umpire. Agree with that. There is absolutely no excusing the behaviour of some of the complete cocks who play football when compared to other sportsman. In sports like cricket and rugby, from day one as kids they are taught to respect the officials and the officials will also do their job of stamping down on any dissent if it should arrise. In football the players from day one act like spoilt brats and carry that through their careers, but ultimately the refs could stop it within weeks if they wanted and they never do. All it needs is for all refs to start dishing yellows out every time there is any dissent, and make sure they do it to the worst offenders usually found at the big teams (one of the main reasons refs won't do it and why the problem remains) and when the suspensions start hitting home managers will suddenly start making their playes shut their gobs. Having just watched the Man City game and over-heard 'pass it you fucking idiot' on the mic, I can't recall hearing the same during a cricket match Perhaps the differences in the 2 sports transcend both the players and spectators?

Racism is an extension of tribalism and the rejection of difference, a perfectly natural human trait. The enlightened generation are trying to re-write the human rule book by abhorring what are infact ingrained behaviours. Racism will only be eliminated around about the same time as religious fervour, offensive use of violence, self interest, infidelity and envy Good luck I say

I love the fact they all went over just 'for a rest'. Sad that for a trip like this for so-called professionals, it seems you would have to impose an alchohol ban for it to work.

So we should move to London. Awesome! -
I'm pretty sure there is an offence of going too slow for the prevailing conditions, other than the mandated blue roundel minimum speed signs (used usually in tunnels/bridges etc in my experience). I got pulled up on one of my intitial driving tests for it
-
On the two points above, I was referring to case with a woman with bruises and witnesses to an assault. You are referring to a case of 'one word against another' backed by a good lawyer. There is an obvious difference here, which is what I have been alluding to all along. Again, in my opinion, a flashy lawyer could never get some off an assault charge given the evidence (O.J. withstanding ). I would imagine the car crash thing is down to there being no independant witnesses (quite different from a nightclub setting), although, I would be surprised there was no way of proving who was driving given current forensics. Is this a recent case? I will respectfully decline comment on the rest of your post as you don't seem to grasp that on a public forum anyone has the right to question someone else's use of words
-
Why?? They're not breaking the law. People who go 40 in a 30 zone are far worse Going too slow is an offence I believe. I can't stand having to adjust my driving because there are the odd few people who don't conform to the average speeds for given situations. My mam (not quite a granny ) is seemingly incapably of joing a motorway at more than 60, which in some situations feels like it could quite easily cause an accident

Can't be true, Bellamy can't even beat up 18 year old girls. He's a vindictive little dwavf with a twisted personality and vile temperament, but it'd be like getting "mauled" by a Pomeranian. not that I know what he's like either way, but presuming you haven't met him and are only going on what you have read in the tabloids, would you be happy for someone you've never met talk about you like that? Well I'm not a dwarf for a start so they'd be completely wrong about that. Personally I couldn't careless what people I don't know say or think about me, nor can I see why anyone would, so I don't really see your point, but IF I did care then I guess I wouldn't act in the way he does. As for proof of his character, there's not only being all the fights and scraps and trouble he's been into (tbh I think he only got of that latest night club assault charge - his what 3rd or is it 4th assault charge now - because of the imbalance of expensive lawyers vs legal aid muppets - and he only got off the assault charge from what he said in court that he said to the slappers in question is more than enough to underline his character), but also all the times he's got into trouble on the pitch. If he wasn't a footballer he'd probably be in prison for beating up some woman or other. If you want believe he's a good lad, ok that's your choice..... but I tell you what send me £5,000 and I'll send it back within a month with it doubled, honest. Like I said, I don't whether he is a good lad or not, I'd be prepared to use the old analogy 'mud sticks' and not like myself for thinking it, but it's unfortunately human nature. My point is I wouldn't have used those words about someone I had never met, based purely on media coverage or he said/she said allegations. If the roles were reversed, I don't believe for one minute you 'couldn't care less what people I don't know say or think about me' given the wording above. It's not like he's been totally falsely accused of rape or something (or has he come to think of it? ). There's several incidents where he's just gone bananas (including this one seemingly) over NOTHING or some minor slight to his GODZILLA like ego. There's been several court cases against him, all of which IMO he'd probably not have got off without being a realitively famous and rich footballer with vastly expensive lawyers (look at how many celeberaties have got off driving offences with a fine for which ordinary people would have faced a ban - good lawyers are more than 1/2 the battle), but even though he has, mostly through his expensive lawyers couching him on what to say and doing thier best to make the witness look unreliable, but the stuff he's ADMITTED to doing and saying is more than enough to back up the fact he's an odious little toe-rag. As for me I cannot understand why anyone would be bothered about what people they don't know say..... of course someone like Bellamy would probably just take a chair or a golfclub to them (which is the right and proper course of action, of course ), assuming he had the element of suprise, thought they weren't going to hit him back and were smaller and hopefully female. Can't imagine why people would have a low opinion of the vicous little dwarf. Once again, I'm not saying you can't think he's a bad bloke, I just take issue with the language used considering the people have had no first hand experience with the bloke, and I do not believe for a second that anyone would not care about the same comments in kind. Obviously if he's twatted Riise in the way it's been reported, then that's wrong, but I don't for one minute think he'll be sacked because apparently according to you there has been a precedent set. If your opinion is to be believed, having already got away with battering several women he was still allowed to play for and adored by the Toon and Liverpool. I really can't see what a lawyer could have said to get him off an assault charge if a bird rocks up with bruises and witnesses saying it was you who hit her. No one's furnished any details of the other assault from the Toon days either I see, although I found a refenece that he was cautioned.
