I don't dispute that the fans and Shearer played a huge part, but the money they were able to play and the tactics of the deal came from the board. The more annoying thing was the cut of the press conference they showed of Eriksson. Sky Sports showed the whole segment including the part where Sven said "Newcastle is a fantastic club" Surprisingly the cut that ITV showed didn't have that part!!! Wankers!
