Pathetic statement. It's like saying I once had a Vauxhall Carlton and stereotyping the Lotus Carlton and putting it into the same category. Moronic. You kind of miss the point. The fact that it's an astra, yes I'm totally aware that you can get some damn quick ones. The VXR springs to mind, very nice looking and goes like shit of a shiny. However if I was to see someone driving a VXR with a private reg I would STILL think bellend. His statement about the Lotus Carton doesn't even have any substance seeing as Vauhall didn't build the LC... As for driving at the speeds you're suggesting Thompers and suggesting there's "nothing wrong with it and it's safe", I really hope you suffer a blow-out. You'll soon change your mind....... if you survived it. No, Vauxhall did build the Lotus Calton, Lotus modified it. Just like Bertoné did with the Astra to make the coupé... Proving beyond all doubt that you know fuck all about cars... Vauxhall built the Vauxhall Carlton and Lotus built the Lotus Carlton in the same way that they, rather than Ford built the Lotus Cortina and they, instead of Talbot built the Lotus Sunbeam. How you can claim you're clued up on cars and suggest Bertoné are on a par with Lotus is laughable. Bertoné like Pinafarina, etc are stylists who specialise in styling the physical appearance of a vehicle. Lotus are engineers who have take a basic chassis and completely built their own car from it. You'll be telling me that an Escort Cosworth was created from a bog standard Escort next...

Me neither. I just tend to not skimp out and would always opt for the top-of-the-range model, even if it's a couple of years older, tbh. Top model or not.... it's still only an Astra You can't polish a turd! It's a superior model of one of the most successful car models in the country. Hardlys a 'turd', dick head. Actually you're right - turds are probably more aerodynamic.... particularly as they don't have the 'off-cuts' from an airfix model attached to their rear end Hey if it does 160mph without being aerodynamic I'm pretty pleased. Why on earth would you be pleased to get a car to go more than twice the national speed limit? Serious question btw...

Someone at work pointed out it's like the kit they use on 'Dream Team' on Sky

I'm waiting for him to come back with the obligatory, "well it's better than your car" comment.. Probably is. I drive a company supplied Mondeo. But then again, I have it to get me to work and back.... not to drive around looking like a tart!

I quite like it myself, I love it compared to the grey checkered look they've thrown at you You liking it says it all really. you're actually liking the grey checks then? c'mon Andrew, it's a lot better than the blue (yes.... blue, although I bet Torres will reckon it'll be green) 3rd strip!

Well it doesn't look like Chelsea kit, does it Tom? And they're the only other adidas supplied team in the Premiership
-
Does indeed... I think it looks good The white bit around the collar looks very similar to the new Liverpool home kit. If we are following their design, I hope we have the embroided old badge on the back of the shirt similar to the way they've got the old style Liver Bird logo....

Craig replied to Scottish Mag's topic in General Chat
Dunno about anyone else, but i've given up on the weekend. Pretty much booked all of July and August now. -
Crash and burn on an argument and you move onto the next person, eh?
