Started my learning on the No.1 Industrial Estate in Consett choked by the fumes of Phileas Fogg crisps! Passed after 4 double lessons, but then I 'drove' with my old man for nearly 2 years before I got my act together and got the test booked. 1st test was cancelled due to fog (can't work out why they do that because you have to drive in it at some point and I had done many times before), eventually got my test 2 months later on at Team Valley and passed with flying colours even though: 1. I never saw the ambulance flying down Durham Road which the examiner asked me to pull over for 2. I completely fucked up my reverse round a corner and ended up 3 miles of the kerb! All the best with it!

A little less conversation, a little more action please. 168262 So you're gonna be doing Elvis moves on the next piss up? 168266 I bet he can belt out a song..... 168267 That's fucking terrible, even by your low standards!

At Newcastle? No he wasn't. West Ham had their claws in him by 15. They (apparently) bought his family a house, car etc. 168160 I didn't realise he'd gone to West Ham so young. In any case he was at NUFC before he went doon sooth. 168214 Aye, as I said he disappeared along with the reserve & youth teams! Which kids are going to hang around when there is no prospect of any football??

Cousin of Ali Dia IIRC!

Says a lot for Spurs' ambition (or short-comings of it) to me.... Why sell one of your better players to one of the few teams above you? Mind you saying that I s'pose it's akin to when we sold Andy Cole who I think was ultimately replaced by a better all round striker in Ferdinand.
-
It goes back to 83/84 when Wilkinson was in charge and for the first time in my memory there was a buzz about NUFC with Keegan, Waddle etc - they came to our place and won 1-0 with the most murderous diaplay of football I've ever seen thanks to an offside trap made in hell. I accept we should have had the skill to beat them and if Terry Mac had finished a couple of chances we would have but in the end it was a victory for all that was/is bad in football. I suppose now I'm "grown up" if we did that at one of the top teams (which we were at that level then) now I'd probably love it - in fact Arsenal 1-0 in 87 when Elliot scored comes to mind. The hatred also comes from South Yorkshire Police - anyone who ever had dealings with them wouldn't have been surprised by Hillsborough. Oh and Trevor Francis. 168138 Wasn't that Goddard?

Jesus wept you sound like an old cloth-capped man! Re: Butt. That twat should never play for us again, end of story. If he's not on the pitch, he won't get booed and embarass all you sensitive souls.... 167846 Renton man, you're like a huffy woman sometimes. As long as he plays for us, no one should be booing him. For a start it sounds utterly retarded, and secondly we are not in a position to be able to afford to hound a lad who is on daft money to the point where he'll dread taking possession of the ball. We're stuck with him because of the money we pay him, so if he gets a game (and he might have to if we pick up any injuries) I want him to play well and not get booed by silly arseholes in the crowd. Don't be a silly tart. 167850 FACTAMUNDO... Whether you like him or not, he plays for us at the moment, and there's fuck all conducive if we boo him. If Roeder picks him, support him! Renton man, you're like the women I have working for me on the helpdesk. 2 of them can't stand each other and refuse point blankly to help each other out despite the fact that it makes the whole team look shit rather than each other! 167874 So I take it you would support a player no matter what they did or said would you? If they took the shirt off and pissed on it, next match would be fine if they were selected? 167878 Shall we grab the context back there Renton? No player at this club is ever likely to do that and if they did, I doubt they'd ever play again for us so the comment is without substance. Why continue to persecute one of our players which happened ages ago? Life's too short man!

Pretty certain Chops moved over to the Howaythetoon forum. Leazes posts regularly on N-O under the guise of NE5

I want to be able to do that! 168092 You wanna be in that group Wullie? It can be arranged you know!
-
It HAS happened to me, on another forum - where do you think I got the idea from? BTW, no 'hacking' of accounts has taken place. CF has just been placed into a group called "Miserable" (as opposed to "Members" or "Moderators" or "Blyth Spartans") which has settings which rules that there is: 1. A high possibility of getting a 404 error 2. A high possibility of database errors 3. Pages taking 10-30 seconds to load 4. Can be sent to the forum homepage without warning 5. An annoying mp3 track of people laughing being looped This is far more fun than banning people!
-
No you fucking can't! I can't believe he's still got the fucking nerve to ask why we keep banning him when he pulls stunts like that one! CF, if you manage to read this, just because you've got a different name, you're still being treated the same. If you give up trying to re-register, your account may be re-instated at some point. Keep up this carry on, and you'll continue to have trouble getting on the forum!

We sold Bellamy and Robert, we bought Owen and Duff.... The two were bought to replace the others in my mind. I also have no doubt that if Bellamy hadn't left us, Owen would never have joined last summer. And if he had, Bellamy would probably have asked for a transfer anyway (akin to his reaction to us bidding for Wayne Rooney).
-
Owen replaced Bellamy... He may have replaced Shearer in terms of the 'size' of the transfer. But Shearer was still at the club when Owen joined. Michael was signed to play alongside Shearer, not as a replacement....

:flowers:CAAAAT MAAAAG U kno I am thinking of starting a thread...which descirbes my experiences in the US....I am sure it will be fun....Ill take sometime to settlein there but will surely come up intersting stories soon 167557 You could be Toontastics version of Borat. 167635 Wasn't that Swindon Mag??? We need him back tbh
-
No I won't.... 167622 i didnt think you would after what you posted the other day 167631 The bloke ought to be ashamed of himself tbh - and not about posting it on the web!
-
I'd say that Damien Duff is an ample replacement for Robert.....and some! Ignoring the injury, if you'd have told me in 2004 that we'd replace Bellamy & Robert with Owen & Duff, I'd have said you were bullshitting and would be over the moon at the prospect. And so would 90% of the fans of the club!

No I won't....
