1. Agree with that - what I was arsed about was when we scored 3 and let 4 in.....
2. Fair enough, but I can't see them finishing 3rd like we did in our first season. Good luck to them though. 54375 I agree with you there, 3rd would be a tall order. Thinking back to those days it makes me feel great inside, it was just a total joy to watch and it made you feel so proud. This is how we started the 94-95 season: Leicester 1 NUFC 3 NUFC 4 Coventry 0 NUFC 5 Southampton 1 West Ham 1 NUFC 3 NUFC 4 Chelsea 2 Arsenal 2 NUFC 3 NUFC 1 Liverpool 1 Villa 0 NUFC 2 25 goals in 8 games fanfu--ing tastic!!!!!!! 54426 and then Bilbao 54436 And finishing a disappointing 6th..... But you're right. Those first 3 seasons in the PL were practically the best in living memory. 54478 Though, who cares about enjoying football. I've learnt a couple of days ago that these seasons were not good because in a couple of games Newcastle weren't able to defend a lead... 54487 Total manipulation of a point - no wonder you work in law Isegrim!
3. Is he for real? He's fucking modelled himself on him! 54432 How did you nick that photo? The site said no to me basically. 54444 Use a proper web-browser then! Image protection bollocks only seems to work through IE (I say 'seems' as I've never tried it through Firefox but I know for certain that Opera gets around it. 54451 Don't go turning this into one of your IT nerd threads. 54453 I think you'll find Renton did.... don't make too much of it, at least he's not defending idle French wingers....
4. Aye but the worst of it was she was stuck in there with you. 54447 Totally agree - it was me that was bricking it, she was calm as anything...

6. I can better that.... When the missus was in labour with our first we got the the maternity department, jumped in the lift and the fucker got stuck! Contractions were less than 3 minutes apart by the time it got moving again!
7. Nice pseudonym there. How much did you get for your story? 54430 As soon as I saw you replying I fucking knew. Mon. 54433 Fish in a barrell, 'Stephen', fish in a barrell 54435 WTF is a 'barrell'
8. Is he for real? He's fucking modelled himself on him!
9. We're still better at cricket though! 54366 Pakistan A 54369 Doesn't say a lot for Australia then does it?
10. We're still better at cricket though!
11. If only for how hard security'll have to work to keep me away.... *sigh* 53899 I think you need help tbh. I would imagine he is repulsive to 99% of women! 53924 Mighty rich coming from you!
12. I once did a week's work experience at Northern Rock. My duties? Licking stamps. 53767 It's been downhill ever since then?
13. You're right of course, the question is whether there is reason for alarm. 53735 £500 a throw (according to Renton) is a canny argument against if you ask me. That would equate to about £30,000,000,000 for the UK if my maths is right. 53737 £29,999,999,500 actually. Craig and Gol wouldnt need one each. Obviously. 53749 Bastid!

Tax anyone??
15. It's all Souness's fault, Robert is fine with any other manager, blah, blah, blah.....
16. bloody hell Gol that was quick! 53601 He's seeing a doctor about that apparently
17. Disagree tbh, as does the "law studying" missus 53536 you're both welcome to repeat the story on your own board I guess 53556 Erm, I own this domain name 53570 Best do as Rob W says and repeat the story then
18. So if you're not inside the ground, you unqualified to comment on performance? (not that I have actually challenged your view on that at all, but never mind). That sounds awfully close to all that superfan shit to me! I think you'll find that wasn't me but the admin of another certain Newcastle United forum, not that I'm splitting hairs like! 53477 Bollocks, I'm not being a superfan! How can you comment on something you haven't seen? If you had watched it on the telly then fair enough, but listening to it on the radio means you are taking the commentators word for what is happening. I don't think I have ever offered an opinion on a match I haven't seen, but no doubt some sneaky sod will prove me wrong! 53480 I re-iterate..... I'm haven't passed comment on the performance. You said we played shit and I haven't suggested otherwise (but keep arguing the fact that I have won't you?) Renton man you could start an argument in an empty room!

20. I quite agree.... Love the way i'm 'not allowed' to compare us to Chelsea like.... But then again it DOES destroy their argument somewhat 53461 Your taking the piss, right? You didn't even see us play and you are comparing us to Chelsea. 53464 I forgot you're a fully paid member of the "you don't go to games so you can't possibly comment" club The Chelsea comment may be in the extreme fair enough, but the point behind it was that all teams can play shite and still grind out results. Our performance wasn't good - i've never argued that but then again, I'm not allowed to comment because I wasn't breathing in air from an NE1 post-code. But if we play shite and still win, we've got to be thankful and not fucking moan on about it!

22. Quite honestly, yes. Chelsea at times played pretty gash last season but still managed to thrash out results. What do we remember more, those 'lucky' wins or the fact they won the title? The performance IS important, but it comes a definite second to the result IMO. The Keegan thing is not a cliche, it's fact. So many games we dominated and lost 1-0, 2-1, 3-2, 4-3 etc.... I'd much rather we'd played shit, got a lucky 1-0 win and ended up winning the league. I quite agree....
