I would imagine any ban would only apply to international games. 57171 If you can guarantee that then I'm happy for disciplinary procedures to commence. 57172 But we're happy for the rest of the squad to get domestic bans as well?

And now I'm being told someone was kicked in the bollocks... Still, nowt'll be done will it?

95-96? 56575 Before that - I think it was something like 1986/87. Remember that we won 3-1 and that it was one of those years in the 80s when we were absolute shite.

I heard Alpay was heavily involved again - something about punting one of the Swiss players up the arse out of sheer petulence.... Of course England and their fans are still a bigger problem than the Turks

Has someone remembered to 'de-ice' Steve?

I know it's likely to disappoint most but I strongly suspect that Shearer's replacement has already been procured...

It's not that long ago that you reckoned people who thought Michael Owen would sign for us had their head in the clouds.... http://www.toontastic.net/forum/index.php?...5533;entry17970 56657 I know, I was wrong. That's why we should go for Henry, because we can sign anyone and we want, money no object! 56660 I think most of us were a tad cynical regarding Owen coming here. Especially after the Rooney saga and our poor league campaign. In any case, signing Owen, if anything, makes it less likely that we would sign Robben as we probably wouldn't have the cash even if he were available. 56788 Yes, that's the point I was trying to make. Few of us thought we could land Owen at the time, but through a combination of shrewd business and good fortune, plus Alan Shearer's pulling power, we managed it. However, for Craig to use that as an argument to proove we can get any world class player we wish is just plain ridiculous. Do people think we have infinite funds, or that we are are a more attractive option than teams like Barcelona, Milan, Arsenal, ManU etc? I now know what HTL was talking about when he accused people of talking Championship Manager on here. Obviously its harmles to speculate, but I think people should be at least a little realistic. This reminds me of a N-O thread. 56820 On the contrary, I'm one of those who doesn't think real life is like Championship Manager however I had an inkling since about way back in February that we'd end up with Owen (ask Gol, he told me enough times to stop talking bullshit!) purely because I think the situation regarding the WC would get to him and that we'd be a 'viable option' - it proved right but I think it's only because of the WC that we were a consideration. The same could be said of Robben. Holland have qualified and he'll be wanting to play. If he has fallen out with JM and wants to move on then for the sake of his WC ambitions, he may well do so. IF he does, then I think we'd be mad not to challenge the likes of Spurs for his signature as I think we'd have a chance. As for money, agreed we don't have a bottomless pit and questions are asked as to where it is coming from, but we didn't have the money when we signed Shearer but when it became apparent that he was available, we made sure it was available. You never have enough money to buy a player, there's always something else it could be spent on/borrowed for - the question is, is the risk worth it? In the case of Arjen Robben, I think it would be worth it. If I was talking about Frank Lampard, then I agree there'd be absolutely no realism whatsoever. But with Robben, it's a different story. 12 months ago, a thread about the possibility of signing Scott Parker would probably have invoked the same debate!

David Moyes (Preston NE) is the hard one. Plus Mark Hughes, Bryan Robson and Steve Bruce? 56807 3 correct, 1 wrong....

Version of that question I've always heard is "name 3 England captains who have played for Scunny".... Moving on, name 4 current Premiership managers who have played a competitive match alongside David Beckham.

Basically some bloke who has obviously got access to the CCTV camera in the retaurant rings McDonalds pretending to be the old bill - tells the supervisor that a certain 'attractive' young female has been pick-pocketing off customers. Gets them to strip her naked, get her to jump around in front of the camera and even get her to perform a sexual act with another member of staff... This goes on for over 3 hours before someone has the common sense to realise something isn't right and they call the police... The supervisor's defence? "I thought it was the police so I did what I was told!" Stupid fucking bint!

Ray Kennedy Selling his medals to pay for treatmen
Craig replied to Rob W's topic in Newcastle Forum
Sad that a player like that is resigned to having to part with memorabilia of his achievements for the sake of his health. This is where the PFA should be coming in IMO. I just hope that the medals are sold to somewhere like the national football museum rather than a private collector... -
56177 56179 56181 56182 56183 56187 WHAT THE FUCK!?!?!? 56189 Nice little convo you've been having with yourself there AF - that's 6 alter-egos identified

You still not managed to flog that yet?
-
So sorry to hear about that mate - my thoughts are with you and with your family
-
How much data have you got on there?
-
Knew someone would say that! Is there any foreign winger who is not temperamental though? Am I right in thinking that Robben was a Kenyon signing rather than a Ranieri/Mourinho capture?
-
Agreed, but it's strongly rumoured down this way that him and Mourinho have had enough of each other...
-
He's been strongly linked with Spurs over the weekend. I can see the attraction to him - Dutch coach, remaining in London, playing alongside Davids, etc., but if he is leaving, I'd be hugely disappointed if we didn't make an approach for him. We'd only have an outside chance of getting him and he'd cost a fair bit, but if the club are as ambitious as they say they are, these are the types of players we need to be moving for. Solano at 31 won't be around forever and Luque when fit is likely to be playing up front from next season so alongside N'Zogbia, we really do need to be looking for more strength on the flanks. It would be a coup to pinch him ahead of Spurs, but we managed that with Parker... Thoughts?

Ironic to note yesterday that SBR was linked to Pompey as Perrin's replacement.... Do you think he'll remember who Robert is?

'chayton' originally - changed to 'Craig' when Newcastle-Online was launched. Have also been 'Dogtanian' and 'spudboy' over the years....

G-reg 1.1 Ford Fiesta LX Had more engine rebuilds than I've had hot dinners and yet when I last checked the RAC site, the damned thing was still on the road! Now got an 05-reg 1.8 Ford Mondeo LX and no, I don't pine for my first car at all....
