I know this is the Barnes thread but continuing on Longy, I feel a bit sorry for his position. Arguably he was doing the dirty work well but he's the kind of player who needs regular football to get the best out of him. At some point he became the scapegoat and the point of fans frustration which must be soul destroying for a player who is also a fan. He probably knows the writing is on the wall, doesn't want to leave but knows that he won't get game time sitting here on the bench.

Villa will want to avenge their defeat but must be tired after all their effort. We've cruised to a huge victory so tails up and energy levels will be high. Anything at Villa Park is a decent result I'd say. Our fixtures look pretty decent compared to others.

My old man caught Pneumonia 6weeks ago and went into hospital but contracted sepsis and ended up with acute renal failure. Fortunately he's pulled through after what very much looked like the end but he's only just out of hospital. I Wish Eddie well.
