Of course there are people who are filling up as normal who I feel sorry for, as the panic tossers are turning a 5 minute chore into a 30 minute one. The long queues yesterday and the fact petrol stations are reporting using a weeks supply in two days backs up that people are buying petrol they don't need. Thankfully I've got half a tank full, or I'd have been pissed off yesterday if I'd had to fill up. 32659 During these times, I reckon they should implement a standing charge of say £25. That way, if you can fit £25 in your tank, good for you - if you can't, tough shit you've obviously got enough in there to start with...... 32679 I don't know exactly what you think sensible ideas have to do with these situations, so you can forget anything like that!!!

32673 Funny isn't it how hard people find these warnings to understand, the reason people put them there is to allow grown adults to make a decision based on their sense of humour an ability to separate jokes from reality.

Occasionally its just random bad luck, occasionally its down to a mistake in the manager signing a player who isn't as good as first thought, but overall and without doubt its down to unbelievably shite coaching from top to bottom at this club, Coaching which has been allowed to reamain piss poor for god knows how long now.
-
Correct, it was an embrassing read and could have been condensed into one big picture of somebody kissing Souness arse. And yet again they managed to squeeze a reference to Bellamy in there. But no doubt it'll work on some of the sub 10 IQ fans we have who can't see through this kind of toss and actually let it affect their opinion of Souness killing our football club.
-
Never mind Shepherd taking over, just asking the players to randomly pick the team themselves would be a big improvement on Souness. Lets be honest do you think Shearer and Owen would allow a midfield to contain Carr and Faye at home to Fulham given a choice!!!
-
It is fair comment, Bellamy will do anything he can to make this game and then will do everything he can to see that he makes sure Souness loses. Unfortunately if he does that, NUFC lose as well, but should that happen and Souness gets the boot then Bellamy isn't the only winner!
-
Too late now, you should have gone after them before we took back the ashes
-
That brings back memories, i last heard that when i was in middle school!!!
-
They do seem to have been, which is great. Be interesting to see what their media does to their own team and its captain.
-
The press are always wankers and they always will be. They've just won the ashes after 16 years of humiliation, i think they were likely to have a drink or two!!! As if any of the journo's would remain stone cold ssober and quiet if they'd won a top journalism prize. They just can't resist knocking people, its their reason for living. The players have been fantastic and deserved to get as pissed as they want, and even completely bladdered they are still more eloquent and better company than your average footballer!!!

Is it the same as the "Top dogs" trophy in North East football, which takes on sudden significance when the mackems briefly were above us, yet means nothing when we resume our normal status above them...just above them these days though!!! 32454 I believe a Mr B.Slaven of Teesside is spokesman for the North East Top Dogs award commitee at the moment 32470 To be fair thanks to a Mr. B Murray and a Mr. G. Souness his team have probably got this years trophy won already!
-
Busy downlaoding now, so thanks in advance for your effort. There will never be better and more entertaining football played by an NUFC team and i will never again have the feeling around going to the match and just footy in general as we had under KK, even if we ever won a trophy!

If i was Souness (and having had the frontal lobotomoy required) then yes, i'd play Moore, drop Taylor and play Faye up front with Elliot and Harper on the wings. I'd also rush players back to make sure they get inured again! However if i was manager, as me, i certainly wouldn't play Moore!

He did once get booked for having a dump didn't he? 32423 He got fined heavilly for taking a dump in the refs toilet at half time i believe, about £10,000 i think!

Is Shearer still an integral part of the team?

Jesus wept. Should we all lie and continue to say that he's great, never been better etc. then? We're having an honest discussion based on what anyone can see if they care to take their Alan Shearer glasses off. The bloke is finished. His legs have completely gone. I take no pleasure in pointing it out but it's a fact. 32407 I'm afraid you're forgetting the golden rule soem toon fans shall forever live by. That is that any criticisim of Shearer no matter how constructive, well argued and indeed crrect it may be is a sin worthy of damnation! And these people will continue to metaphorically stick their fingers in their ears and go "La la la, I'm not listening" failing to separate the legend he is and ever will be with the player who is struggling badly now. Thoug as i've said elsewhere any half decent manager, withthe pkayers we have and a concept of tactics and football could still make use of him this season. Souness will leave Shearer with an embrassment of a final season and for anybody who loves Shearer for his time here you have to want Souness out or Big Al could see his toon career end very sadly indeed. 32411 Not even Arsene Wenger could save Shearer's season. He shouldn't be playing. We might as well erect a Shearer statue midway between the halfway line and the box and just try and bounce long balls off it into Owen's bath. He is that static. 32413 I don't think its that bad yet, he is nearly finished thats beyond debate, but i think theres enough left there for some goals under a better manager and with a team playing with (shock horror) width, pace, creativity, passing, variation, confidence and the like. Most of us know he's on his last legs, but people do forget the massive part our fuckwitt manager is playing in killing Shearer for good. I can see what's wrong with Shearer but give him one last shot playing now and then and coming off the bench at times in a team thats playing good attacking football with width and he'll show theres a little bit left yet. I know some people are too unwilling to accept any slating of Shearer but people should also not go the whole way against him and ignore what Souness is doing to a legendary striker. -

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/t...dio/4188560.stm He's going to be marketing director for a mortgage broker. Bet he's on a canny wage for that one aswell. 32375 Thats the one! I knew he was on good money and that it was what he was originally qualified to do.

It may be the number cap you were, so that the player with 651 is the six hundred and fifty first player to be capped by england.

Finance is the new rock 'n' roll. 32157 Does that make you "Ginger" Baker from Cream then? 32160 Twat. 32162 He is regarded as one of the great drummers though, so it was almost a compliment!

Theres a general bias against foreign players here, usually helped along by Anal Oliver and people of his mentality, such that the likes of Kluivert and Baba are "feigning injury and are lazy mercanaries" but english players are just injury prone if they miss games. But there isn't a bias against black players if thats what's being implied. -

I enjoyed it, he's a bit more of an old style comedian in some ways, but with a modern twist to the humour. He's also taking over from Nick Hancock for the next series of They think its all over. And strangely Hancock has actually now got a real job as a finacial advisor or economist or something like that!
-
Honestly, Niall Quinn and The Guardian should fuck off 31660 Getting rid of Kluivert and signing Owen in the same transfer window - bet you're gutted! 31663 Not at all. And I don't think Kluivert is gutted either that he left the current #19 of the Premierleague. But I don't like it when Quinn writes crap about Kluivert's attitude, like he knows anything about it anyway. 31931 My apologies, I thought you were a Newcastle fan. 32129 He's right though, Kluivert will be ecstatic to be missing out on the "Souness revolution" and Niall Quinn knows fuck all about Kluivert's attitude unless he spent the whole year at St. James observing him.

He can do a job this season definitely, though ideally it would be playing alot less and coming of the bench at times as well. Unfortunately despite Souness being the one who wanted him to stay on, Souness has made a team, style of play, formations/tactics and choice of personell that make it impossible for Shearer to be effective. Under a different manager Shearer could have a very effective part to play now and then for us this season, under Souness he is going to end his career in a way not befitting such a legend, which is yet another reason for me to hate Souness, making the great Big Al look worse than shite at times.
