  1. Just caught a bit of SSN and Mancini is whingeing that he didn't have enough players to pick from and that's why they drew, Jesus Christ he's got more resources than any other manager in the game! He wants to try having fat cunt ashley as a chairman and see what he has to work with!
  2. The combined fee for him and Henderson is looking like a collosal fuck up! I still think Carroll has a chance of turning it round mind, but i forgot Henderson was even playing today and you think what they spent on him.
  3. Absolutely taking the piss now! About 40 passes here without Liverpool touching it
  4. If Spurs fancy it this could be hilariously humiliating!
  5. He's right, its hard at times for refs at full speed particularly off the ball to get them all correct, so have a review panel who look at them all and ban the diving, injury feigning bunch of tarts that play football these days. But they do also need refs to start sending people off when the victims don't overreact so that players know there is no need for it.
  6. Another red for the scousers, and the way Suarez is acting if Spurs get at him it could easilly be three by the end!
  7. And now a red card for Adam, might want to keep quiet next time!
  8. KIng kenny will have to go crying to the refs again, just had a goal disallowed!
  9. Sadly i see exactly what he's saying. I hate it and think retrospectively players should get banned for feigning injury etc. But the point he makes is that if somebody slaps you or barely touches you with their head it is a red card offence under the rules and the player deserves to go for their stupidity, but if you stand there and take it they usually get off, but you go down and the ref sends them off. So the problem really is officials, if they were consistent and everybody knew you'd still see the red card even if players didn't go down then some wouldn't hit the deck. Like i say though, i think footballers are generally a disgrace and i'd ban them for overreating as well as banning the player who "hit them"
  10. Not really accurate to be fair...he'd have to improve significantly to qualify as shit these days! But it really is annoying that the management team can't see he's finished and is not only offering nothing when he appears but is actually a dangerous liability to the team, and any time he gets on the pitch is holding back a younger player who might have a chance at being good enough. I'd have him out on loan like a shot even if the club he went to could only afford a tiny fraction of his wages and we paid the rest.
  11. The full quotes in the sunday sun had him saying that but followed by saying it could be a bit more than that and need a very minor op to sort scar tissue but that it wasnt a cartillage problem. So either way its so much better than it looked when first reported and seemed to be his dodgy knee and it could have been months!
  12. I was encouraged by todays match, we played alot more football, with Krul frequently rolling the ball out to the defence so we could play the ball forward rather than hoof it. Tiote for me was much more like last season, winning the ball and passing it tidily apart from a couple of wayward ones, Cabaye clearly shone and can strike the ball from anywhere. Centrebacks continued their good form, obviously Colo would be annoyed with the goal and Taylor did his regulation one moment where he tries something he shouldn't but they're forming quite a partnership. The fullbacks also had a better day than against QPR as Raylor was taken apart in that game. Wingers were frustrating as usual, Obertan showed some decent touch at times and did the odd good thing, then would look clueless again next time, and Jonas struggled badly for end product apart from one cross whipped in. Ba is starting to get up to speed, it was going to take time and Best scores again, and doesn't finish a match again! I like the look of Marveaux, seems an intelligent footballer to me and played a lovely ball over for Cabaye near the end.
  13. Kadar RB and Perch in the middle? Kadar must be preferred as cover for Simpson. I'm glad to hear Kadar still exists, as i wasn't sure! He can cover CB and LB and to me he always looked like a kid who has a shot at being good enough so hopefully he can show Pardew he's worth considering. However worryingly i read some quotes from Pardew who thinks Perch is best as a centreback so he can provide cover there! I'm not disputing he may be better at CB than fullback, the problem is he is a collossal liability in any position so i don't want Pardew thinking he can cover any position.
  14. The problem is we have got Cabaye but insisted on kicking the ball over his head most of the time! If we want to play any football its pretty obvious you give Cabaye the ball and let him dictate, he can't do anything if he never sees a pass for about 20 mins. Ba did cause a few problems despite poor service, won some headers and set Obertan up but he fluffed the chance, and straight away Marveaux and Ameobi were at least looking to get at people, hence we won the freekick for Raylor to have a pop. I'd start Marveaux ahead of Obertan and give him a run to get to full fitness.
  15. I'm not that confident because Barton will inevitably score or set one up and they will probably have a few making debuts, with plenty to prove and the toon always love to help people start well at new clubs so it will be tough. So what the hell, 2-1 win with another Leon Best double!!
  16. Ouch. If you back the favourites in each of the first 8 games in an accumulator, the odds are 2/5. Waste of time tournament, just move to NZ v Australia in the final to save time. England are wank. Rugby Union isn't a patch on Rugby League, watched a RL game on Sky last night the lead changed hands twice and the favourite lost, much better unpredictable sport. If you're trying to say League is more competitive, it's not really fair comparing a club match in league to RU internationals, is it? It's a bad comparison to draw anyway from your pov, given there are loads of nations who are competitive in Union (6 nations, South Africa, the Aussies and Kiwis, plus the likes of Western Samoa and Argetntina who often pull off a shock). How many nations are competitive at international level in Rugby League? 3? Up until the last world cup it was 1, Australia won something ludicrous like 6 in a row i think!
  17. Its alot different to how it used to be, in terms of nomal people watching it, especially up here whereas league outside of lancashire and yorkshire hardly anyone gives a flying fuck about it! They certainly used to be more athletic when union was massive forwards and tiny backs but now the union backs are built like league players and the forwards are much more athletes than the old days. I remember years ago back when Wigan were the team who kept winning everything in league every year they played the champions of union back then over two matches, one in league format and one in union fomat, but it was a waste of time as whilst the union lot could play league (but lose badly!) Wigan couldn't play full union rules as they couldn't leagally scrummage properly without experienced front row forwards, so it was a watered down version, which they still lost.

England are wank. Rugby Union isn't a patch on Rugby League, watched a RL game on Sky last night the lead changed hands twice and the favourite lost, much better unpredictable sport. South africa have won the world cup more than New Zealand and England are six nations champions so i wouldnt be guarenteeing a NZ v aussie final. As for which is best, people will never agree but league is just boring to me, it takes out everything that makes rugby what it is. No scrums, no rolling mauls, no rucks, all the physical battles between packs and last ditch defence on the line, no tactical kicking, hardly any point in bulding up to and taking drop goals as its worth a point. It removes all the intricacies of the game and the incredibly technical side of it, because even if you watch it all your life you'll still struggle to understan every aspect of it, its way to complex at the breakdown. Instead in league a guy rams into a line of defenders, gets grounded they back off and somebody else rams into them, they back off and repeat for 5 goes then swap. Obviously you get the odd passing move or great run, but the majority of the game is butting into a defenders who hold you down, ball through the legs and the next guy does the same. They have produced some cracking players though like Offiah, Hanley and Robinson and if the first two had done what Robinson had and switched to union at some point it'd have been great to see them play union, they'd have went down as legends in both forms. But, it would be boring if everybody agreed on everything, there wouldn't be much point in these forums! See that's what I find makes union boring. Scrums take fucking ages, in Union it's just a few dafties and they play, there's more of a non stop feel to it. Batley v Halifax on Sky last night was a more interesting game than I've seen in union for money years. I find union the same as test cricket, i'm a big fan but i can totally undertsand why other people hate them! And you are right about scrums when the ref doesnt do his job, you can be dicking about for ages setting and resetting without going anywhere if he doesn't get a grip, it needs sorting like in football with the backpass rule to stop so much time being wasted.
  19. Friendlies two weeks before the world cup without BOD etc don't count, grand slam destroying defeats in the six nations however do Naw your right, after the next 6nations we'll probably lose BOD, Paul O'Connell, Donncha O'Callaghan, D'Aracy etc and the squad will be in tatters. Losing Hayes was a massive loss as well Stephen Ferris and Trimble are good, but losing the two big men for lineouts and O'Driscoll for the flair will be dire. Sexton bottles it all the time as well, he just doesn't have the nerve of o'gara for kicking, much better outfield mind but o'gara is just solid as fuck when it comes to kicks. Seems to be the way in rugby, you get alot of retirements within a short space of time when you've had a top class team and it takes a few years to get back on track and that's if you have the talent coming through. Does keep the six nations interesting though, nobody stays outright top for that long, always another side ready to step up and take it off you.

Ireland are in with a good shout for doing well tbh too, Just need one good result either against Austrailia in the groups or likely South Africa in the knockout stage (with guesstimating tables etc) England maybe 6 nations champions this year, but they can't handle us , tbh we threw away that 6nations with all the mistakes giving away stupid penos for holding on and stuff. IN BOD WE TRUST Handled you last time we played I may be wrong (you will know better than me quite how long some players have left and what is coming through the ranks to replace them) but i suspect Ireland are a team that peaked and are now on the downward slope like England after they won the world cup and even with O'Driscoll i don't think you'll do that well at the world cup, IMO.

  22. That's how i see it, he's playing well and really benefits from playing alongside Colo and his only bad moments have been when he thinks he's better than he is and tries some fancy football in the danger areas and nearly puts us in the shit. But this is definitely now our CB pairing, until they sell Colo obviously!
  23. I wouldn't get your hopes up, theres fans who wrote Cabaye off after one match and who've decided Ba is beyond shite despite the fact he's clearly not fit yet, not eating food during the day and hasn't played a full game yet! He may or may not end up good here (Ba that is) but writing players off before they've started is the modern way sadly. Look at Wenger (before he lost it a bit!) he wouldn't judge players in their first season, he always expected them to need that to settle and show what they could do, and look at Dzeko at City, worse than shite last season, but they knew what they had and didn't worry. And i agree with you that Ben Arfa is made for our fans, so if they allow him time to get back to speed we'll have a cracking player who plays just how we want...until he does well enough to eb sold of course!
  24. Pretty good sign of things that SSN know fine well to hang around the mackems now and not us, as the fat cunt is going to do fuck all in transfers. BAck in the day they wouldnt have been near that lot and would have been camped at St James as its where it would all be happening, now i wouldnt even bother mentioning us as it'll only be bullshit.
  25. One good thing to come out of deadline days is its shown every club has a bunch of mongs to make them look stupid on TV because before this, people seemed to think it was just us, since sky were outside St James every other week for the latest story. As for the day itself did anyone really think this bunch of lying cunts were going to spend decent money on a striker, all we need to finish the night off is a ludicrous bid chucked in for somebody with less than an hour to go, who we wouldn't sign anyway and then try and rush through a shitty loan deal.
