So did I, which is what I thought people were talking about at first. Could get quite messy if you don't raise the lid (actually reminds me of a student joke I once did - putting sellophane over the toilet in the girls' toilet, but that's another matter). As for my personal hate, it's people who don't wash their hands afterwards (i.e most people I find) - you scruffy, dirty, bastards. Aye, that is minging. At work the number of people that come straight out of a cubicle, having had a shit and walk straight out the door! Dirty bastards!? After a piss is bad enough, but a shit? Animals. People always think that but its surely worse the other way round. Unless you are pretty hopeless it should only be the tpilet paper getting anywhere near "the area" and not your hand, but with a piss you've had your hand on your cock! Though they do say that you actually put far more germs from your hand onto your cock than the other way round, so technically you should wash before and after a piss! Nah, flushing the bog, shifting the seat up and down, locking and unlocking the cubicle door, all of which have been touched by other people's FILTH! Either way it's absolutely minging like. Anyway, I'm eating my lunch, can we stop talking about this stuff please. That is true like, especially in some pub toilets where you don't want to touch anything! Of course its worst when you have been to the toilet, washed your hands and grab the door handle back into the bar and its wet, is it from somebody washing their hands or from somebody who didn't wash their hands??? Enjoy your lunch btw!

Yeah its good to hear they have this available and are using it, like many other top managers do, the worry is what our coaches will do in response to it!!!

Can't say it's something I regularly rant about in real life but as there was a topic made about it I thought I'd put my two pence worth in. I don't lose any sleep over it like. I'm not talking about on this thread, everyone is quite rightly saying what they prefer, i just can't believe any grown adult actually causing genuine trouble over something which takes a second to correct by moving it up or down.

Do people really have this stupid argument over toilet seats!!! It takes no effort to move it from up to down, or down to up so what are people whigning about. I leave it where it is after whatever position i had it in. If anyone seriously kicks up a fuss about a toilet seat being left up then they have got some problems as they can put it down in a second!

Absolute fucking blasphemy. It's beyond blasphemy, it's abject heresy and requires burning in the fiery pits of hell for eternity!!!

Is kissing the Liverpool badge in front of the Newcastle fans classed as 'restrained celebration' these days? Didn't see that to be honest, i think its fair in return for the booing and the chucked bottle, but no, its not a restrained celebration!!! I really dont understand how people can forgive this sort of behaviour Quite easilly, if I or indeed the whole away end give a player shit for 90 mins, i'll take back what comes my way from the player when he or his team score. Just as Blackburn fans had to when they gave Shearer 90 mins stick and so for the first time ever he actually changed his 1 handed celebration, or when he danced in front of the manu fans when we beat them 5-0. Players get it and dish it back and fans cry like little bairns, just like the Hammers fans with Roeder. I can't speak for everybody, but if i dish it out i'll take it back from players. The context is very very different. shearer did his salute in front of our fans. not Blackburns. Shearer is justifiably loathed in salford simply because he snubbed them twice. He makes no bones about it. He accepts it. The fans crying are the fans who didnt realise what an objectionable little toad he was and that this supposed love of us never existed. Only one person in Craigys life. Shearer did it at Ewood Park, the whole ground of Blackburn fans are there to see it, its not like he did a sercret little sign for the toon fans that all the Blackburn people couldn't see or understand. Its the same context and i don't give a toss about either of them doing it because it was in response to fans giving them stick so they were both entitled to do it for me. And you'd struggle to find these mythical fans who didn't realise what Bellamy was/is, because everyone knows what he is, all that matters is whether you want him in your team or not.

Owen is the best player on the books, he's a genuine world class goal scorer at every level of football and has been throughout his career. His usefulness to us has of course been limited by injuries and we wait and see what he can do when he finally comes back from this serious injury.

Says very little, unlike our gobshite of a media whore chairman. Yeah, Gibson is the epitome of what you would want. Runs his club well, backs the manager with money, and the only time you ever hear from him it tends to be soemthign well said and that needed commenting on. Probably his only mistake was backing Robson for too long when he was there because he got on well with him and other than that, you can't fault him as a chairman or as a person.

You have got this the wrong way round as far as I am concerned. I always thought that smacking was OK until I smacked my own kid. As soon as I did it I realised that hitting someone that small is just plain wrong It goes both ways, you think you won't and do, you think you will and don't. I only used the former as this was what Wacky and Bridget had been arguing that he's saying she can't categorically say she won't smack them until she's had them for a few years and proves it. But even then, people are entitled to say they won't and mean it to be honest, just because they haven't yet proven it doesn't mean you can say they will change their minds. Anyway its all irrellivent to me and always will be! I think Bridget is well within her rights to say smacking is wrong. Wether she does it or not is irrelevant to the moral judgement I don't know why you're arguing that with me, i said people who aren't parents are right to have views on whether you should/shouldn't smack kids, i was against people sayign you can't have a view until you have kids. I had my own view on it being right/wrong and stated that, so i wasn't likely to say other people couldn't!

I've definitely seen a repeat, i think its on one of the freeview BBC channels, but can't remember the night or time it's on. But check the listings as it was repeated last time.

Parent should have the right and choice to smack if they choose with the government/europe or whoever keeping its noses out of the matter. I'm in favour, but doesn't matter as i'd rather castrate myself than ever have children! However you are more than entitled to have opinions on parenting, children and anything related whether you have them or not. Or else your argument as Alex says is that two braindead charvas who aren't fit to live never mind look after a kid will be a better source of argument and debate on the subject than somebody who is intelligent, well rounded and mature, because they haven't got somebody pregnent yet! What you can say is that somebody with no kids cannot categorically state they will never smack their kids until they have them for a few years and see exactly how they handle the situation, because they may end up doing somethign they thought they wouldn't.

By Extras' standards that was a weaker epsiode, but still great TV as its by "Extras' standards" and with some classic stuff in there. The Bowie song and the agent + Barry with the women standing out as great moments. Really enjoyed Mitchell and Webb again and Mock the week was on form too. Throw in Dragon's Den and thats some unusually good TV!

Probably a good idea, and then people can turn it into a big night out drinking if they want at least! Better than somebody booking a place and not being able to fulfill the booking.

Say that again and i'll headbutt you in the kneecaps!

In the first half we were relatively solid but unspectacular and created few chances, but away from home against one of the better sides that's not bad. Unfirtunately we made the mistake for the goal and were then up against it. Second half we came out and played much better, creating enough to have blatant pens turned down and look alot more dangerous. With as somebody said earlier Shola showing he is definately alot better at using his height/weight than he was. Then Liverpool did step it up a bit and started to dominate and missed a few chances, though we weren't completely out of it until Alonso's goal. So it wasn't great, but i don't think it was a disaster or anything, what counts is they turn in not just a win against Everton but a good football performance and dominate a game like we haven't for so long now.

Baba is an idiot and has done this far too often, he even got away with oen on Cahill having already been done for one previously on Cahill! WHat he did is the reason i'm not complainging and blaming the ref for the Liverpool match. We should have had a couple of pens and its no shock we didn't get them as for NUFC to get a pen requires an actual death of a player. But at 1-0 down we should have went to 10 men and arguably Liverpool could have had a pen as it was a foul in the box.

I see one of the Bellamy haters (Gemmil) had to start another thread about him, will these people not just let go, he's left the club now Anyway its a non story really and is only one because it's Bellamy. If Terry Mac had done to me what he did to Bellamy hammering me in the papers, and stirring up shit and doing a character assasination on me whilst crawling up Souness' arse to help kick me out the club, i'd have had a go at him alot sooner than Bellamy and would have said far worse. And i'd have to say Bellamy's attitude to toon fans actually deserves more credit than he's getting. Because since he was kicked out, when he's played us he's continual abuse from toon fans, including a bottle being thrown at him vs Liverpool, yet he hasn't slagged us or the club (Souness et al aside) and when Pool scored their goals he just joined in with restrained celebrations when he could easilly, as many players do go over the top, give the fans some back and really rub it in, but he didn't. However that doesn't make much of a story. He's clearly a beligerent, argumentative little bastard who opens his mouth too much and probably is a bit too arrogant, but who gives a toss, every manager bar one he's had rates him and sticks up for him. And the only one out of all of them who didn't, he doesn't even merit the title manager.

So it wasn't just me who saw that bloke in my mind as soon as i read that post!!!

Don't be sick, blokes are only allowed ogle their sister's breasts when they're heavily pregnant. How often do blokes get heavily pregnant and why does that allow them to ogle their sisters breasts?

It is, he's an absolute cnut!

Yeah, i'd rather have people thinking like him than some of the complete idiots attatched to all religions round the world who couldn't hold a sensible, coherent and reasonable debate about religion if their lives depended on it.
