1. sorry mate i haven't got time to think about this or the game on thursday, too busy thinking about martins, sheikh mahandoff and our top 4 finish this year 182817 WHAT!!! I'm too busy thinking about The Bill. Far more important on a Thursday night.
2. I think that would be more pertinent if he were a young centre-back. As a forward, I'd far rather be playing alongside Emre, Duff, Solano, N'Zogbia, Milner, Parker, eventually Owen, than Todorov and Koroman. 182735 ...although partnering his fellow countryman Kanu might influence him.
3. I get what you mean also. Just think if Roeder wanted him, he'd go for him whether he's signed Martins or not.
4. You'd take some sort of sick pleasure in it no doubt. 182625 I'm still in two minds over the transfer tbh, as much as we need a striker, the price is extortionate and I'd rather we went for Anelka. 182637 And why do you think signing one would be exclusive to the other? 182639 We don't seem to be in for Anelka though. 182643 That's sort of my point though. If Roeder was in any way interested in Anelka, signing Martins wouldn't affect that.

6. To that's Amore. "On a massive big wage, But we don't know his age. Obafemiiiii"
7. He's black, he's short. With illegal passport.
8. It's almost a re-run of last year where we thought Luque was the end of the spending, but up popped Owen & Solano.
9. Hmm, didn't like the sound of that mind. "Newcastle agree £10m fee for Martins...but Portsmouth want him too!"
10. Evidence that a change of scenery can get the best out of a player. *cough* Boumsong *cough*
11. Not exactly being praised though are they!
12. The opposition defences were very poor in those games tbf. Gave him soooo much space. Martins will create space because of his speed but Shola's still got a lot to do to even be described as an average striker imo. 182554 I'll agree with the Leverkusen game, but Barcelona definitely not. Ameobi ran them ragged.
13. From what I've seen of him (granted it's very little), he's just a speedier, trickier version with a better football brain. Basically, everything Lua-Lua should be.
14. They obviously also knew Martins coming was a cert so were just having a laugh. They got slammed when the website was too slow in it's news and like the club's voicepiece, now they're getting criticised for having a bit fun.
15. I'm still living in hope that having a Lua-Lua like figure will get the very best out of Ameobi a la Barcelona & Leverkusen in the Champions League.
16. Given Dawson Terry Carragher S. Taylor Parker Lampard Arteta Henry © Berbatov McCarthy Crossley Sommeil Barry Tonge
17. He did buy Raziak... 174496 And Routledge...and Reid...and Jenas.
18. From the 6 months I saw of Zokora in St-Etienne, he's more likely to become the next Amdy Faye than Patrick Vieira.
19. Reminds me of the guy from The Goonies. But with hair.
20. The way they're playing in pre-season, if they can keep it up, we might just get away with signing one striker before September. Someone like Kuyt & Ameobi for one place, and Luque & Duff for the other.
21. Too true. Why would we want a winger who'd only help us to an extra 25-30 goals a season?[/brokenrecord]
22. I'm sure I saw a quote from him last week saying he had a 4 year deal with Marseille and intended to see it out. Strange lad.
23. And we have the cheek to criticise the Mackems for keep going on about the 2-1's. For some reason, our fans and club are obsessed with this 5-0, even though since then they've stuffed us 3-1, 5-3, 6-2, 4-1...
24. On the other hand, Real Madrid have been excellent with Woodgate concerning the injury (they've never rushed him back once, they've sent him to USA for operations, he's had a lot of rehabilitation), could be a very small chance that with him having an injury-free pre-season this year, it might have cleared over. (I should have maybe put the "very small" in bold).
